RECAP: Raj and Seher finally met after 6 long years. They couldn't interact though. And the most important of all……………………Raj-Seher's past was revealed!!!!!!!
Raj and Seher; both could not sleep that night. How could they. A storm within them, long suppressed, broke out today with their unexpected meet. Both were lost in their past. Those pleasant as well as sad memories hovered over them. They didn't know what was going to happen next.
RING RING!!! RING RING!!!
It's 7 in the morning and Raj is so lost that he doesn't even hear the mobile ringing.
"Hello"
"Good Morning papa"
Yes! Meet our Saira (Shreya; Kasauti's junior Sneha). The six year old daughter of Raj and Natasha. Don't ask me now; you'll know her better in the forthcoming episodes!
"Saira (Raj is more than happy) How are you?"
"I'm very angry papa! You promised that you'll call me Sunday night, but you didn't!"
"I'm really sorry beta! I……"
"Now no need to explain papa. The fact is you broke the promise and now be ready to be punished."
"Anything for you!"
"Think again papa. You'll have to……"
"Thought; you just have to say what you want."
"Papa! I want you! Papa please! I want to be with you at every point of your life, why don't you understand. Please come and take me with you to Mumbai papa. Please!"
"Give me sometime sweetheart. Papa promises to fulfill your wish but there are some matters to be resolved after which we'll stay together forever. Now smile!!"
"I can't smile without you! I'm missing you papa! Moreover, I don't have anyone else than you, not even mumma!" Saira had tears in her eyes while saying this. Raj sensed her sadness and said, "Papa will come beta! Very soon. You know I can't let you cry! Please smile!"
"I'll be waiting papa, come soon"
"Love you Saira."
"Love you too papa."
And she kept the phone down. Raj didn't know what to do! He wanted to tell her that she has a mother. But! A six year old was too small to understand the complexities of their relationship. He stood-up and got ready as he had to go to school.
Finally, it's time to meet Mrs. Ruhi Sinha (Gauri Pradhan), a physiatrist by profession. Married to Pratham since three years; she is the only person in the world who understands Pratham to the core and knows how to tackle him! But, alas! Pratham doesn't initiate any spark in their relationship. It seems as if he isn't interested in living life. But Ruhi is still hopeful.
"What are you searching Pratham?" asked Ruhi seeing Pratham tensed.
"Did I call you? Then why are you here investigating upon me?"
"I'm not investigating on you; I'm just trying to help!"
"Thanks; but no thanks; I can manage."
Just then Ruhi remembered that Pratham had to give a presentation to the board in the school today and she guessed that he might be searching for that CD which was kept in his cupboard.
"Pratham!" said Ruhi.
"Now what? Why don't you leave me alone?"
"Actually I forgot to take my yellow file kept in the cupboard which I need, could you please pass it on?"
Pratham gave a stern look to Ruhi, opened the cupboard and as he lifted the yellow file, he found the CD lying beneath.
"Thanks Pratham. Bye! Have a nice day!"
Pratham went to school with the CD, without understanding Ruhi's gesture.
At Singhania House, Seher was sitting still, lost in Raj's memories, so lost that she hadn't even changed her party dress.
Just then Mr. Singhania entered her room.
"Seher! Where are you beta! Not even changed the party wear?"
"Good Morning Papa"
"Good Morning; but……"
"I was just not feeling well so I didn't change."
"Ok so that means my daughter can help me out."
"What is it papa? I'm always there for you."
"Beta actually some foreign delegates have arrived and I'll have to go and handle them. But I was supposed to attend the board meeting with the staff of St. Stephens School as per the pre-decided schedule. Now I won't be able to go."
"But what can I do for you papa?"
"Attend the meeting and give me the report!"
"But papa how can I?"
"You can beta! I trust you. Please do me this favour!"
"But papa I don't know anything about the current happenings out there……"
"My assistant Niharika will explain you everything and if any further problem arises, you can always contact me."
"Ok papa; I'll go!!!"
At St. Stephens, all the teachers are there at the staff-room working on their respective presentations. Raj got a bit late but as he entered………
"The faculty is required to report at the conference hall in sharp 15 minutes" announced Mr. Bhasin (Ram Kapoor), The Principal. "Mr. Malhotra! You're late! This is a very important day for our institution. You'll not get time to check."
"I'm fully ready sir! I don't believe in doing perfect work at once." Answered Raj.
"That's great! All the best."
"Thank you sir!"
Seher is ready to go but is waiting for Niharika to come who was to brief her abut St. Stephens. Just then she heard a sound of something breaking outside.
Seher came outside to check, "What happened? What broke?"
She saw a confused girl standing outside who accidentally broke the flower vase kept outside. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?"
"Mam! My name is Niharika (Sai Deodhar). Sir asked me to brief you about……"
"Ya ya I know! Come in."
"Sorry for…… (Pointing towards the vase)"
"It's ok you come in. You're already late. We must hurry-up!"
Seher and Niharika talked for about half 'n' hour and then they left for the school.
At the school, Mr. Bhasin was having a look at the demo by the teachers and was rectifying the flaws, if any. Just then he got a call from the reception that the trustees have arrived.
"You send them in. We're ready!!" saying this Mr. Bhasin put the phone down and announced.
"We have to perform our best. Be ready!"
Just then entered the room, Seher Singhania!! Raj couldn't believe his eyes. He couldn't react to his fate.
Seher too saw him there. Their eyes met; but with despair. Their love rejuvenated; but with hate. A sense of infidelity had aroused. The warmth was there, but still it couldn't be felt!!!
"Hello everyone! It's my first meeting with the faculty of St. Stephens but I hope it's not the last. I'm Ms. Seher Singhania, here to have a look at the functioning of the faculty. So; shall we proceed?" Seher said all this without giving a second look to Raj. Raj too tried hard to ignore but still his gaze was fixed at her all the time. He was surprised!!!!! At her ignorance, at her attitude and most importantly at the way she looked at him………She was definitely not that Seher with whom Raj fell in love!!!
"So! Who is the first one to present?"
"Hello Mam! This is Raj Malhotra to present an insight into our Chemistry faculty, along with Ms. Srishti Gupta." Raj rose with full confidence. Srishti too stood-up and they proceeded with their presentation successfully!; so did the other faculty members. Raj was sitting all through the session with an earnest desire to go out. He was feeling imprisoned in that cold environment. Srishti could clearly notice his discomfort but Seher didn't care to look behind to even notice it. May be she feared that she would go weak if she looked back!!!
As the session got over, Seher declared, "I thoroughly appreciate your dedication and efforts towards this institution and no doubt that it is one of the most successful. This school deserves all those funds and I assure you all in its favourable future. Thank-you."
Seher looked at Raj and could clearly sense his feelings. After-all, love is not literally blind!!!!!!!!!!!
