CHAPTER 4
It had been a week since Khushi was discharged.
She wanted to meet Arnav so badly. But she knew that Arnav wouldn't welcome her presence.
She regularly kept tabs on him through his family members. She made sure someone made him have his tablets, his food etc on time.
Arnav was going to be discharged today. She was eager to meet him but somewhere in her mind she was scared.
She got up bright and early. She completed her daily routine.
She was wearing a red saree and significance was not lost on her.
Aakash was to accompany her to the hospital to collect Arnav.
Went she reached Arnav's room she saw that he was dressed in a pair of jeans and a white shirt. He looked like a greek god.
Khushi still felt awed by him even though they had known each other for all most three months.
He was sitting on the bed busily typing on his blackberry.
He sensed her presence and looked up.
They both continued to stare it each other forgetting about everything else in the world
That's when Arnav remembered Lavanya's word.
His mood completely changed.
"Are you going to stare me the whole time or shall we get going?" he asked clearly showing his irritation.
"Yes. Yes we are going."
Saying that she went to pack his bag.
Just then the nurse entered with a wheelchair.
"Sir please sit on the wheelchair." Said the nurse
"Me sit on a wheelchair? Have you lost it? I'm perfectly fine to walk on my own." He roared
"Please sir. It's our hospital policy that the patient must be escorted out of the hospital in a wheel chair."
"Fine escort in me in the wheel chair. But I won't sit on it."
The nurse who was tending to Arnav for the whole of last week knew that there was no point arguing.
Just then Khushi came near the door with his bag in her hand gesturing towards the door.
He nodded and followed her.
When they were waiting for the lift to come Dr Malhotra arrived there.
"Mrs Raizada. How are you feeling today? Must say you are looking good now. I can see that you are taking proper rest now."
"Yes doctor. I'm feeling good now. I promised you that I will take care of myself nah?" Khushi replied with her signature smile on her face.
Seeing her smile Arnav was mesmerised. But then he remembered who his 'wife' was smiling at.
He gave a sharp annoyed look.
She continued to talk to dr Malhotra ignoring the looks Arnav was giving her.
When the lift arrived Arnav spoke "shall we go now and do you need to talk more?"
She looked embarrassed as she said a quick goodbye to Dr Malhotra.
Aakash was waiting for them at the main entrance.
Arnav sat in the front while Khushi sat at the back.
The moment they entered the car, Arnav bombarded aakash with questions regarding work.
He completely ignored Khushi.
Aakash tried to change the subject but Arnav was adamant.
When they reached home, Anjali came forward with the pooja ki thaali.
"Di you know I believe in it nah? Please stop it."
"I know you don't believe in god chote but the people who care about you believe in god nah. Please let us thank god for keeping you and Khushi safe."
Arnav let Anjali do the aarti. His reluctance was visible but ignored.
The moment he entered the house he declared, "I'm going to my room."
He made his way to his room.
When he saw the state of his room he was utterly shocked.
There were starts hanging from the ceiling.
The bed sheet was pink in colour with some floral design on it.
His dresser which was usually spotless was cover with all the paraphernalia a woman required.
The walls were covered with photographs.
He saw a picture of himself and Khushi. They both were staring into each other's eyes. Unaware of the camera clicking the beautiful moment. They both looked happy.
Just then Khushi entered the room.
"Why don't you freshen'." She started.
Arnav interrupted her.
"I don't share my room with anyone. I won't share my room with you." He roared
