Chapter 11A

Lovely update! Riya's genuine concern was touching while Arjun's impatience was pretty amusing. Pulling her closer and closer? Was that the only way to get her attention, Arjun Babu? 😉

Dadi is my absolute favourite, there's no doubt about it!

Well this might be my last update for this year, sorry have lots of things to do, have to pack for coming to india, and thus wont be able to write more. But as an apology I'm writing a long update, hopes everyone likes it😳

Chapter 11B

They had been staring in each other's eyes for some time, neither wanted to get away from each other. Both were completely lost in each other's eyes, when suddenly Shree came to disturb them.

"Riya! May I have the pleasure of the next dance?" Shree asked with a smile.

Riya's had barely returned from the dreamy land, and was looking at Shree with confused eyes.

"The next dance Riya!" Shree had to repeat when he saw Riya was looking at him strangely.

Dadi had barely requested the song, when she saw Shree going to disturb and ask Riya for the next dance.

"Yeh Shree, kya kar raha hein! Breaking my Jodi! Never," Dadi thought to herself

She walked as quickly she could despite her old age, and before Riya could accept Shree's proposal, Dadi dragged Trishna, who was just passing by at that time, and said, "Shree look how lonely my granddaughter Trishna is. And she hasn't dance even once since she returned back!"

Before Trishna could even say one word, she found herself in Shree's arms and the song had started. Shree was very happy, actually he had asked Riya for dancing so as to get some information out of her about Trishna, and destiny had given him more than he had ever asked.

Trishna was still under shock, "Yeh dadi bhi nah! Don't mind her Shree! I feel a bit uncomfortable dancing, actually I have two left foots nah, and always crushes my partner's foot, hence I never dance!"

"It's ok, even I'm not good at dancing, we'll just move the music," Shree said not wanting to let go of such a good opportunity.

One the other hand, Riya was still under shock, and lost. She turned towards Arjun to say that she needed to sit down a bit, but before she could say anything, Arjun had again swiped her off her feet and in his arms to dance on the new romantic tune.

Arjun didn't give any time to think at least once, he swirled her and turned her to match each and every step of the music. Riya herself didn't know she could dance so well, but letting Arjun guide her had never made dancing seem so easy.

Arjun himself didn't know why he never wanted to release Riya from his hold. He had never felt so happy in his life dancing with a girl. He hated dancing, but for the first time he had gone towards a girl, and despite the girl refused him, he had dragged her literally to the dance floor.

Ho jo barso meri palkon mein tha
Tu wohi khwaab hai

Har ghadi har ghadi teri yaadoon mein

While dancing, Riya couldn't no longer sustain the hot look in Arjun's eyes, so she lowered her head and rested it on his shoulder, and both danced like this till the song ended. As soon as the song ended, Riya forced herself to release Arjun. She could no longer pinpoint the exact feelings she felt right now, and what she was feeling right now was very scary for her. She tried to push Arjun lightly so that he released her, but Arjun didn't budge.

She finally, with great of courage, looked into Arjun's eyes and said confusedly, "I feel very tired, please let me go?"

Arjun looked into Riya's eyes, and could see the confusion in her eyes, and if he wasn't wrong, the same confusion at what was happening could be seen in his eyes. Both felt uncomfortable with each other, and no one knew what to say to break the awkwardness.

"I know, I'm a great dancer. I'm handsome, and have a nice body. I even have all my teeth, you can check if you want. And I know I'm good marriage material. I know that you are completely mesmerized by my talents. Hmmm, and you are not that bad at all. Who knows maybe I might just accept," Arjun said trying to lighten the mood.

"Accept what?" Riya asked, not understanding what Arjun wanted to mean at all.

"Well your marriage proposal dear," Arjun said and winked at her.

"What the? Marriage proposal? When?" Riya said in a big shock now.

"Well considering my good points, you are going to ask my hand for marriage right?" Arjun joked.

"Are you out of your mind? Why will I propose you?" Riya asked still confused, and not understanding that Arjun was just joking.

"Well I'm not an easy man, did you really think that you could dance like this with me, and leave me? What about my reputation? What about all the people looking at us strangely?" Arjun continued joking.

Finally Riya understood that Arjun was just joking, she slapped him on his shoulder and started to laugh.

"Tumne to mujhe bilkul dara diya tha," Riya said completely relieved.

"Kyun mein itna boora marriage candidiate hoon?" Arjun asked with sad puppy eyes.

"Nahin, itne boore bhi nahin ho, par aap to ek hi ladki ke saath nahin reh sakte ho nah, kissi ke lips ache hein, kissi ke ghal, aur kissi ke eyes, remember?" Riya said with a smile, and remembered Shaina just at that instant. She looked for her, and finally saw Shaina standing in a corner all alone, and left Arjun to go there.

"But you are completely mesmerizing, from head till feet. Everything about you is perfect," Arjun murmured only for his ears. He was very shocked at his thoughts, he couldn't have fell for Riya. "Nope impossible. It's just a simple attraction," Arjun consoled himself while his eyes followed Riya going to Shaina. He refused to hear his heart out.

In the meantime, Riya walked towards Shaina, and could feel Arjun's eyes on her back. Her heart was doing somersaults after that dance with Arjun, and she could barely walk towards Shaina since her knees were shaking so much. "What is happening to me? Why do I feel so drawn towards him? What's about him, that I feel so close to him? What's in his eyes that once I look in them, I found myself drowning in them?"

"Nahin Riya, you must be ill! Nothing more," Riya consoled herself. She even touched her forehead to check if she had fever. But nothing, but still she thought she must be ill somehow and went to meet Shaina. She was just reaching Shaina, when suddenly Mrs Rawte blocked her way to ask something about the party. She answered and continued her way to Shaina, but Shaina was no longer there. She searched for Shaina, but couldn't see her anywhere.

Shaina was very tired, both physically and mentally. She had tried her best to stay out of Rathore's eyes, and it had ben very difficult, since at every step and turn, she had seen him in front of her. It never passed her mind that Rathore was trying to talk with her. so she was completely shocked when Rathore suddenly appeared in front her and grabbed her arms and took her out on the terrace.
