Chapter 5B

Arjun returned after a few minutes, and took the camera and kept it with him without even checking it.

"Are you ok Dadi? I know you had big hopes on Riya and that you really considered her as a daughter, but she turned out to be a big liar. Don't worry, Shaina will be reaching in a few moments, then we can throw Riya away from this house," Arjun said.

They both presently went out to join everyone in the living room.

Dadi went to sit down next to Trishna and started talking with her. While Arjun went to sit down next to Riya, and listened to her and Mrs Rawte's conversation. He felt sad that he would have to hurt his family, he knew that they all really loved Riya, and had become quite close to her since the last few days, but he preferred to show them her true face now than later.

Suddenly someone knocked on the main door.

"Finally Shaina is here," Arjun thought to himself. He went to open the door, but not without throwing one last glance full of happiness and victory at Riya first.

Riya saw Arjun looked at her, and what she saw in his eyes made her afraid. She knew immediately that something was wrong. But what will happen in the following minutes, even she couldn't have guessed.

Arjun went to open the door, and when he saw Shaina, he was really very happy. Shaina had red eyes, she had been crying since she heard about Rathore's state, and even till now lone tears were flowing from her eyes.

Arjun patted her on her shoulders and, "Don't worry, everything will be ok. Kuch nahin hoga Rathore ko!"

Shaina looked at Arjun, but even his words couldn't comfort her. She had been to see Rathore before coming here.

Flashback

Shaina had been shattered completely when she got Arjun's call, and he informed her about Rathore's state. She hadnt wasted one minute, and had tried her best to get the first flight to India, and come back to her Rathore. She couldn't imagine her life without him, throughout the flight she prayed to God to protect Rathore. And when she had reached India, she had gone directly to the hospital to look at him. Seeing Rathore lifeless had hurt her so much, she had sat down next to him and talked to him for hours. At first she had been crying and fighting with him, asking him why he left her, but after some time she had started talking gently to him, talking about their future, their marriage and their kids. She kept talking with him and tried everything to get a response out of him. She even told him about their first meeting, how they had fallen in love…

But still no response, she was completely broken, she had never felt so much helpless in her life. She would have stayed with Rathore here itself, if she hadn't remembered Arjun's talks about a certain Riya faking to be Rathore's fiance and staying at their place.

She left Rathore with a heavy heart, and promised him that she'd be back in a few hours, after clearing everything out with his family.

Arjun held Shaina by her shoulders and brought her inside.

Everyone was shocked to see Arjun bring a crying woman inside of the house. They all rushed to her thinking she may be in trouble.

"Kya hua beti? Tum theek to ho?" Mrs Rawte asked worriedly.

"Tum ro kyun rahe ho?" Mr Rawte asked by putting his hand on her shoulder.

Shaina was sobbing too much to even reply, so Arjun took the cue and informed everyone, "This is Shaina Malhotra. The one and only real fiance of Rathore!"

Everyone looked disbelievingly at both Shaina and Arjun.

"Yeh kya keh rahe ho?" Mr and Mrs Rawte asked at the same time looking alternatively at Riya, Shaina and Arjun.

"Mujhe yeh mazak pasan nahin hein!" Mr Rawte said angrily.

"Yeh mazak nahin hein! Mein hi houn Rathore's fiance! The girl standing there is nothing but an imposter! And a liar! She's only taking advantage of you and rathore's state!" Shaina shouted in between sobs by pointing fingers at Riya.

"Aisa nahin ho sakta! Riya humse choot nahin bol sakti," Mrs Rawte persisted.

"Ma, she's lying to you! I'm the real fiance of Rathore, I was out in Italy for a modeling assignment! I know each and everyone in this family very well even if I have never met any of you yet! Rathore always used to talk about you people to me!" Shaina said.

She went towards Dadi, and touched her feet and said, "You are Rathore's Dadi nah! He never calls you Dadi, but in fact loves to call you sweetheart right?"

Dadi gave Shaina a big hug, and acknowledged.

Shaina then went towards Trishna and said, "You are his little sister. He loves you so much, in fact he and Arjun are constantly pampering you nah! For your fifth birthday Rathore had given you a cute kitten, right?"

Trishna also agreed and gave Shaina a big hug.

Following that Shaina went towards Mr and Mrs Rawte, she bent down and touched their feet and said, "Ma and Papa-ji, Rathore always used to talk about you two. Apko diabetes hein na Ma? And Papaji aap chupke se achard khana pasand karte hein nah! And on last wedding anniversary Rathore had given you a trip to Mauritius?"

She continued telling lots of things about the whole family, everything Rathore had ever shared with her.

Finally she took out some photos, and other proofs and gave it to the whole family. And also showed them her ring finger, it had the ancient Rawte's ring which every mother-in-law gave to her daughter-in-law as per the Rawte's family tradition.

No one needed any proofs now, they all rushed towards her and hugged her.

Out in a corner, Riya stood all alone, and everyone were looking at her with hatred in their eyes. She couldn't stand it anymore and was going to leave the house when Arjun intercepted her and prevented her from going out. He held her wrist in a tight grip and said to everyone, "Now you believe me! She's only a liar and nothing more! She came here only for money and took advantage of our love and generosity! She even tried to seduce me yesterday night, since now Rathore is not here nah! And you all were praising her for the fast, she never kept the fast, in fact she was eating at the temple. I saw her with my own eyes, and even have proofs showing it! "

Riya was devastated at Arjun's accusations, she never came here for money, she had just been selfish for some love from a family. She tried to get herself released but Arjun didn't let her go. Tears were streaming from her eyes, but she kept quiet, since she didn't have anything to say which would convince everyone of her innocence.

"I had told you nah that I'll bring your truth to everyone! Now take your things and get the hell out of here," Arjun roared at her and left her wrist. Riya shuddered at Arjun's tone and immediately turned to rush take her things, when she felt someone held her arm. She turned to look who it was, but she was crying so much, that she could only see a blur in front of her.

"No one will dare raise a finger at her! And she's not going anywhere!" Dadi said standing next to Riya holding her shoulders and supporting her.

The whole family were shocked at Dadi's action.
