Awwhh, it's so sweet the way Sharon can't stop thinking about Swayam and wants to spend more time with him !! I just hope this doesn't turn out bad for Rey and Swayam's friendship !! It would be better if Sharon just told Rey the truth about not wanting to get back together again !! Looking forward to seeing if Swayam will bring Sharon to meet his family or not !!

Chapter 13

"You can't meet them Sharon" he said.

"I want to" she was adamant.
"No"

"Yes. Yes. Yes"

"No Sharon please..."

"Why can't I meet your family?" She asked.

Swayam thought for a moment and then said " Fine you can meet them. But not now. You can meet them later. In the next week or month or so.."

"Okay." She smiled.

Rey was watching the budding conversation between Swayam and Sharon. Obviously, he was a bit jealous but he didn't show it. He just wanted to know if Sharon was still interested in him or not. With a fixed motive in mind, he walked up to them.

Rey is coming. Swayam thought in mind. I better get going.

"Sharon I have some work. I'll catch you up later." He made a fake excuse to avoid Rey.

"Fine." She said.

He got up to go outside the canteen.

Sharon had just finished her coffee and she got up to leave when Rey called her from behind.

"Sharon!"Rey called out. Sharon turned to see who it was.

"Rey...what are you doing here?" she asked.

"I want to know the answer."

Sharon knew what he was talking about but she decided to let it loose.

"Let's walk..." she said.

They were walking in the college corridor when Rey broke the ice.

"Sharon is it a yes or a no?" he decided to get it straight.

She looked down trying to find the perfect words that would not hurt him.

"Rey" she said. "If you are talking about the break up..."

"Yes Sharon. I am talking about the break up. Do you want to get back with me?"

She was unable to find the right words for the situation. She decided to tell him whatever was there in her mind. That's when her phone rang and it was Swayam who had called her up.

She looked at the caller id and mentally thanked him for calling up at such an intense moment.

Rey saw that she was looking at her phone and snatched the phone from her. He saw that it was Swayam and his doubt became even more strong.

Sharon's brow corrugated. "What's this Rey?Give me my phone back."

"Not until you answer me."

"Rey please give me my phone back. Stop behaving like a kid."

"Stop making me look like a kid then." This time Rey had that expression too. "Once, I asked you this question, only once, and you take days to answer me. Sharon what's wrong? Just tell me if it is a yes or no. If it is a yes, it's good but if it is a no, I won't trouble you."

Sharon had to tell it. She just had to. She couldn't keep this thing in mind. Rey had already ruined half of her college life. The remaining half, she wanted to do every single thing she could not do earlier.

"No." she said. Her eyes were closed and she was hoping that Rey would go. She slowly opened her eyes to look at the scenario in front of her.

"No?" he said. "You don't want to get back with me?"

"I don't want to get back with you." she said.

"Why Sharon?" he asked.

Sharon turned to leave. With her back towards him, she cleared something. "Not all things have valid reasons Rey."

"They do" he said. "I know what your reason is."

She was in no mood to listen to him. Hence without paying any heed to him, she continued walking.

"It's because of Swayam. You are with him now. Hence this drama. Sharon why can't you tell this to me? Even if I am not your boyfriend now, I will always remain your best friend. You don't think you can share this with me?"

Sharon turned back exasperated at his words.

"How dare you. How dare you say all this Rey? You think me and Swayam? Are you crazy?He is only my assistant, nothing else."

In all this chaos, Rey didn't realize that he had pressed the answer key on Sharon's phone and hence Swayam could hear the conversation between them. Swayam was broken when he heard Sharon's words. He decided to cut the call.

"Now give me my cell phone back Rey." She snatched it from his hand and walked as fast as she could.

Rey was relieved when he heard Sharon's words. But in some corner of his mind, he still knew that Sharon was going to regret her decision of not patching up with him soon. With this hope in mind, he decided to keep patience.

Sharon called up Swayam in order to talk to him.

"You called me?" she was back to normal.

"I messaged you Sharon." he said. "Actually I think you were with Rey then, so I am sorry to disturb you."

"No Swayam..." she wanted to say something but he hung her up.

She was disappointed. She wanted to clear it out to him that Rey was officially nothing to her.

...And my thinking sessions began.

Does Swayam mean a lot to me? Why am I so adamant on telling Swayam that Rey means nothing to me? Why did feel I bad when he ignored me? Why was dancing with him pure bliss? Why did it transport me to another land? Why do his eyes reflect purity, and intense love for someone?

Today I lied to Rey for the first time. About "Swayam doesn't mean anything to me" part. Yes, I like Swayam, but there is something greater than friendship. Though I never considered him my friend, I like him a lot. And maybe, this liking towards him has resulted in the break up. This liking for him made me confess to Rey that I can never get back with him. Even though Swayam was not there, he provided me strength to overcome my fears and tell it straight to Rey that getting back was not possible.

Was it really liking? Or love? It should be something greater than like and something less than love. But what comes between like and love?? Does anything come between them? Or maybe I am just over reacting...I think...I think I love him. I don't need to ask the meaning of love to anyone. Because I know how it feels when one is in love.

I feel comfortable with him. Yes.

I feel secure when he is around. Yes.

I can see my whole world in his eyes. Hmm. Yes, kind of.

I get lost whenever I make an eye contact with him. Yes.

Is he the most adorable person at present? Oh yeah.

I like spending time with him? Yes.

I miss him when he is around? Yes.

Okay I think there are so many traits here which clearly indicate towards the same thing. Love. This can't be only liking. And there is nothing greater than like but less than love. This is a case of extreme liking which is better known as love. I love him. I love Swayam.

On the other hand, Swayam's heart broke into a million pieces when he recollected the conversation Sharon had with Rey. He was broken and he could do nothing to mend it. He loved her but she didn't. It was the worst thing that happened to him. For one second, he was relieved to hear that Sharon had rejected Rey. But then, her next sentence hurt him more than anything else. He was emotionally attached to her, especially after that dance. But maybe she didn't feel the same.

"She must have lied to him." a voice echoed throughout his mind.

"She was anguished." another voice spoke.

"So?" the first voice asked.

"Usually people blurt the truth in anger."

Swayam felt that the second voice was right. Though he wanted the first voice to be. But whatever the second voice said, was logical. People blurt out the truth in anger. Sharon did the same. Though he was unhappy with this thought, he knew he could do nothing else. So he decided to sleep.

"Swayam!" Sharon called out to him next day in the college.

Swayam stopped to listen to her.

"What is it Sharon?" he asked.

"Can you face me? It would be easy for me to communicate."

"No" he said curtly and began walking.

"Swayam there is something on the professional front not on the personal front." she said to stop him. And sure enough, he stopped and turned to face her.

"What is it?" he asked.

"About the message you sent me yesterday. The AVP wants all four of us. You, me, Rey and Kriya to assemble in the rehearsal hall at 4pm? Why?"

"There is a fest that the college is conducting at the end of next month. She wants all of us to discuss about it."

"Okay thanks." she said.

"Is there anything else you want to know?"

"Rey and Kriya know about it?"

"I asked you to inform it to them in the message, didn't I?"

"Sorry I forgot. I'll tell them."

"Anything else? No right? bye then."

"Swayam..." she wanted to say something but it looked like he didn't care.

Swayam's behavior was getting on her nerves. She did not know why he was doing this but she wanted to know the reason. She was going to ask him that very day.

She messaged Rey and Kriya to come at the rehearsal hall at 4.30 pm. For discussing about the fest.

She deliberately put the timing 4.30 because she wanted to talk to Swayam for half an hour and clear all his misconceptions. They were still not past the evasiveness.

I'm glad that finally Sharon told Rey that she doesn't want to get back together with him !! But sadly, another misunderstanding has started between SwaRon !! I hope Sharon manages to clear everything with Swayam now that she is sure she is in love with him !!
