Ahhh!! Thank you sooo much for updating! I've been checking almost everyday for an update!
Whoa! So the father came back all upset but something big happened for sure! And now he is kicking both of them out! What the! Does this imply Khushi and Arnav are going to leave together but then the Kalarikkal mystery isn't completely solved yet! Can't wait till the next update!
Update soon and hope all is well with u!

Hope your feeling better Devi- thank you for the update.
Kashi's father is kicking them out- there would be a reason behind it. Is he a helpless Father who had gotten a chance to let his daughter escape from the destiny that they believe is planned for her and in return letting her escape to the a life that is far from the house?- in where she can live without anyone labelling her as such.
Or is he merely a stern father who believes that this is a reason to disown a daughter?
I can't help but feel that his intentions are pure.

Devi, glad to see an update from you. Hoping the morning sickness is becoming tolerable. Now, you can take all the time in the world to update, as it would put my mind to rest from the obsessive compulsion to look if you have updated and as it would save me from the regret of missing the updates as i cannot log in to IF daily. Well..now you have understood how selfish i am.

On to the update, why i have a feeling that there is more to that throwing out by Mr. Namboodiri. Am sure that any Indian father would have a similar reaction, but throwing one's daughter out is too extreme and there should be a strong reason for a man like Namboodiri to do that. Why did that defeated posture of slump go after he ordered that the two of them should move out before the sunrises the next day. He must have known that Arnav would protect Kashi. Is he secretly relieved that KH would be with one of his daughters?! Am i reading more into what is written..

Wow. Devi, I cant put in words how exactly I am feeling after reading 4 days in the Kalarikkal house! I happened to stumble upon this tale youve weaved with such perfection last night, and then, began to read it...and I couldnt stop..until the part when Arnav's sleeves gets burned. It was around 4 am in the morning, and I realized I had to absorb it all in before I proceeded. And, I did..absorbed it, and couldnt sleep till 6..crazy? Yeah, I usually sleep like a log as soon as I get on my bed, but reading this...I just couldnt close my eyes, and even the morning, the first thing on my mind was...the kalarikkal house, arnav, kashi, devaki, lakshmi, her husband, curses, snakes, reincarnation, dreams, ghosts, the pond..and ahh just soo much moree that Ive discovered!
I know my comment will do no justice to what you have depicted here...and its not even the fact that arnav and kashi may be reincarantions of the past, but its how they met, riled each other up, made up, kissed, discovered, dreamt together and alas, understood each other truly for how they are connected...it has been such a beautiful journey just reading...Pallavi is another character that I also have become fond of, her calm composure, and especially the way she enlightens both Arnav and Kashi with her talks, she opens up a new dynamic of life, and afterall, she is a witness to the tale unfolding infront of her, even if she is lecturing at the university. Characterization of each character is done with extricate details, its like I can feel them, and know them...
Want to thank you for transporting me to the lands of Kerala...have never been there, but I think one day, Id definitely like to visit there!
Im also little upset that I could not take part in the four threads, but I have thorougly enjoyed reading the comments that follow after each chapter...but better late than never as they say, will be here from now onwards because Im intrigued to know how arnav and kashi will somehow overcome the curse that has befallen on this house, and I have feeling they will...right from the meaning of their names to their past to the present...
Thanks again! You are a marvellous storyteller, and I have become a fan of your writing truly!
and take care of yourself and your bundle of joy :) May be little intruding here, but have just read few of the comments...Congrats :) Take your time to comment because till then I will keep myself occupied with what you have given us... ;)
P.s I do think there is alot more to Mr. Namboodiri than what meets the eye. Him telling Kashi to leave before dawn, a bit harsh, but why do I feel he's doing this for her betterment...trying to protect Arnav and Kashi from the curse? I will wait for you to disclose and weave this tale further... :) Oh and I definitely dont want them to leave...its time they face the woods, the curses, and everything that is related to this house...
P.s.s You might see me here randomly commenting on old chapters..thats just me wanting to pen down what I have felt while reading from the beginning...

Hey lovely to have you back. Havent been on the thread for a while and did today only to figure that great good news waiting to be delivered! Congratulations! Oh this is such a joy, and let no one scare you to the contrary! :-))
Wonderful to read the next installment of the story. Unexpected in
when it happened but not in the fact that i happened. A man who is willing to drain all esources for the sake of holding on to a past and a house that houses all his traditions, would not tolerate what he views as transgressions against his family pride / name.
However, I'd like to beleive that while the man may not, but the father has more depth and understanding of his daughter. He knows Khushi will never leave him / the house voluntarily, so what better way of making her leave and esuring that like her sister, she too has a chance at life?

me too

If i put myself in Kashi's place may be i would be the 1st one to grab the opurtunity and run away from that place maybe. But still i want them to face it

Like some of the readers here even i feel that Mr. Namboodiri is doing it for her betterment. Both his daughters seem to be progressive and somewhere they might have got this from their father.
