"Wow pretty place huh kripa"

"What?"

"I said pretty place, god ur so lost these days."

"Ya its nice." She said without any enthusiasm, and went back to her thoughts, turning around once to see Sahil hiking behind her with Prithvi.

"Sahil how is life with kripa? Hope she doesn't annoy u too much. I always told her that I felt sorry for who ever she married." Prithvi said laughing.

"Oh yes she can be quite a handful sometimes, but now I can't do anything about since I am already married to her." He said smiling thinking about the time when she had tried to run away. "What about Ria? When did u guys get married?"

"We married quite young I was only 23 and Ria only 20, but I loved her too much I couldn't bear to stay away from her any longer. And she was all alone father dead, brother in jail, no family, she needed me and I needed her."

Angad looked down to the ground, he could not face him he had promised Ria that he would always take care of her but he had gone to jail leaving her all alone in this world, she must have suffered so much, he was glad that Prithvi had been with her.

"Oh here we are finally I was so tired of walking." Prithvi said pointing to a big barn with little houses besides it, "Its one house per couple, me and kripa both got our own rooms when we were little but now, since we both are married we have to share. Pick a hut."

But before angad could, he saw kripa run over to one of the huts; she stuck out her tongue at her brother, "Haahaa!!! I got the good one bhai!!"

"What!! No!! kripa u know that one is mine." Prithvi said putting his hands to his hip sighing, "Fine be that way!! But remember if it rains, that roof leaks!!"

"Its not monsoon bhai what are the chances that its going to rain." Prithvi made a face and retreated to the hut besides Kripa's, he smiled when he heard the slight rumble of the thunder outside.

Angad entered the little hut, he heard the shower in the bathroom, Kripa was probably in there, he sat down on a queen sized cot. It was a very small room, and very unlike his own home, everything there was old fashioned from the walls to the window sill. Angad realized a fact that he had never before considered. This hut contained more comfort then his big house probably ever had. At least, he and kripa would be able to see each other more often, they would be able to face each other at last, rather then run away. He heard the shower close in the bathroom;

Kripa came out minutes later in a casual shirt and pajama, still drying her hair with the towel. She completely ignored him as though he did not even exist, "kripa…"

She looked at him, "please angad don't waste ur time talking to me because I am not interested in anything u have to say."

He got up, his voice pleading yet firm, "U can't do this kripa, u have to listen to me."

"I am not listening to anything that a murderer has to say." She said sharply opening the door to go out. It hurt, it pierced his heart, but he couldnt let her do this she had to understand.

"No kripa not this time." he grabbed her hand forcing her to face him.

"Leave my hand angad!" he obeyed but pulled her closer to him, his hands on her waist, his other hand cupped under her chin forcing her to look into his eyes because he knew they were the only thing that she would ever believe.😳
