And about your question, no the scene was not at all similar. Of course it involved death and grief, but the whole scenario was different.

Well then, can I just say that was an extremely well-written fic on grief. I've read similar fics like this before but I have to say yours really hit home. Never having been in that scenario (and I pray I never do), your story really brought the reader in the headspace of what it would be like to be in the character's shoes. Oh my poor heart! Now I gotta go and tend to it. Beautiful scenes you wrote. Went straight into my bookmarks.
