Sorry Guys. This ain't a song Chapter
7. JAB WE MET
"What the-!" she heard him say. She was wearing a beige V-neck sweater with a black scarf around her neck and bell-bottom jeans.
Oh God! It was her plane neighbour and also the same guy she had bumped into the airport. "I am so sorry, I-"
Arnav looked at her, and felt familiar with her face...Where had he seen her? Aaahhh! Yes. She was next to him on the plane, bumped into him at the airport and had an over-protective boyfriend. Oh, and she was the girl he had seen dancing yesterday.
In reply to her apology, he sneered and replied. "Hmph! I don't have time to accept sorrys from people like you!" and walked away.
Khushi began fuming. The NERVE of the man!
She ran after him. "EXCUSE ME, BUT how dare you judge me without knowing me?"
"I know you dance, and thats more than enough!" he said irritably.
"OH PLEASE! What's wrong with dancing!?" she said annoyedly.
"Losers dance!" Arnav growled.
"Dude, what is WITH you! Well, I dance..."
"Exactly what I mean..." he said contemptuously again.
Khushi's mouth dropped at the heights of his arrogance. "Look Mister. Are you crazy?! You cannot judge people just like that...!"
He turned around to face her. "Well, lets see. Dancers are losers cuz what is the use of 'dancing'? All that you do is mmove about to music! What is the big deal!"
"You are unbelievable." Khushi muttered. "What the heck gives you the right to judge people Mister-I-Don't-Care-Who-You-Are!"
"I don't need rights to give my opinion...!"
"Well, keep your damn opinion to your freakin self!" Khushi yelled.
"No one talks to me like that!" Arnav said, through gritted teeth.
"And what great personality might YOU be. Hm?" Khushi asked.
"I am Arnav Singh Raizada." he said, waiting to see panic spread on her face.
But to his sheer surprise, she just looked at him and said, "And I am Khushi Kumari Gupta!" she said sternly.
Both did not notice the crowd that had gathered around them.
Arnav was taken aback. "Do you know-"
"Yes Yes." she said, holding up her hand. "The great business tycoon's son. I have seen you in newspapers and mags often." Then she pointed to herself, and holding out her chin out a little, she said, "So does it look like I care who you are? Hm?" She waited for a moment. "No right? What I DO know, is that you were being unnecesarily rude to me!"
His eyes widened. "Well you ruined my shirt!"
She looked at him in sheer disbelief. "Ok. SERIoUSLy? You are worried about that stupid SHIRT! GAWD! You are worse than GIRLS! Even WE don't worry so much."
He looked at her annoyed, hiding his surprise at her sassy behaviour. "Do you know how much-"
"Oh please!" she smiled up at him sweetly. "The cost should be nothing to you should it? As you were saying, Mr Arnav Singh Raizada, you are the son of tycoon. So...really. What's a puny white shirt?"
"Well. Look whose talking. A good-for-nothing dancer, who DANCES, which in itself is a useless art to pursue Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta!"
He saw the fire beginning to build in her eyes. Though he did not admit it, he was beginning to like conversing with her. It was so amusing!
She stared at him for a whole minute, shooting daggers at him. She opened her mouth to say something, when she felt someone press her shoulder. 'Kayz, enough...Let's go."
She turned around to protest one of her best friends, a blue-eyed blonde. "But Chloe, this jerk here-"
"Kayzz..." Chloe hissed. Frustrated, Khushi sighed and finally turning to Arnav, she said, "Get Lost!" and walked away.
He smirked and called after her. "What, too afraid to talk back NOW are we?"
She stopped and turned around. "No. It's just that I don't like speaking to blockheads. Don't you think I'd be wasting my time talking to people who don't let logical stuff enter their head?" she said cheekily, and turned away walking off with Chloe.
He watched as she shook of Chloe and came running back to him. "By the way, nice talking to you Mr Arnav 'Jerk' Raizada." she said sarcastically and ran off.
The crowd stared in mute silence at the exchange. And they burst out laughing! Shaking their heads and laughing, they got back to doing their own work.
Arnav stared at her retreating form. "Khushi Kumari Gupta. I would LOVE to talk to you again..."
He wondered if they could become friends and was impressed by her guts and fiestyness. He had somehow, enjoyed talking to her...
