PART 3:

"Arnav...im asking you again!!!!!!! Do you remember anybody named K.H.U.S.H.I??" muskaan stressed on khushi's name. She saw a wave of fear as well as a wave of relieve touched his face. "What the hell is he thinking????" she thought.

As soon as arnav heard khushi's name , he felt a light breeze caressing his face. As if it was touching his face and directing him to move towards it. He closed his eyes in pure bliss. He could see some people moving. "Hey , chottey!!!!" "Arnavji!!!"...these phrases were echoeing in the back of his mind , indicating that he was very much needed by his family...but alas! Only if he could remember them. He opened his eyes to see muskaan staring at his with a bewildered look. And that's when he said "I don't know amybody named KHUSHI!!!!!!!!". He went out of her cabin , leaving her upset , yet again.

As muskaan went outside her cabin , her boss , Dr. stevens caught up with her. "How is your amnesiac patient???" he asked mockingly. "Dr. stevens , i would like to check on arnav's reports!!!!" answered muskaan confidently. He took her to his cabin and handed over arnav's file. She looked at it. "Hmm...not much progress it seems!!!!!" she said. Stevens nodded. "What do think Dr. Bharadwaj???" he asked. "Well... this is generally due to a head injury .Traumatic amnesia is often transient, but may be permanent of either anterograde, retrograde, or mixed type. The extent of the period covered by the amnesia is related to the degree of injury and may give an indication of the prognosis for recovery of other functions" she said , yet again confidently.

"We have to do something...before its too late Dr. stevens!!!!!!" she sighed. Stevens nodded and handed her over the X-Rays he had made on arnav's head injury recently. "What's this????" she asked. "Check out yourself Bharadwaj...i have an emergency case in the OR!!!!!" he said and went away. Muskaan saw the X-rays. Her doubt was right. Arnav had Post-Traumatic Amnesia. She fell on the chair shocked. Her worst fears had become true today. She had to talk to arnav about this...he needed to know about this...about his biggest disease.

She called up arnav. As arnav entered her cabin , he saw her in deep thoughts. "What is it muskaan???" he asked worried. Muskaan sighed. How could she possibly tell him what happened 5 years ago. He had no clue who he was or how he got himself in the ICU that morning. "Arnav...i think we need to talk!!!!!!" she whispered , but loud enough for arnav to hear. Seeing her in distress did give him a signal that something as equal as a disaster was coming for him but he never expected her to tell it in a jiffy...

INDIA , DELHI: RAIZADA MANSION:

Arnav was playing with Aditya's phone. As aditya saw this , he was amazed that arnav was much more sharper than the kids of his age. "Hey buddy!!!!!!" he exclaimed playfully. Arnav turned around to see Aditya and again resumed his work with utter seriousness. "Umm...what exactly are you upto???" aditya asked. Arnav told him that he was trying to call and talk seriously like the way he and akash chachu talks. Aditya smiled. He never saw a kid to pick up so many triats from his or her dad , especially when he is not present there. He hugged arnav emotionally. Khushi and anjali saw this from behind.

Khushi always felt arnav's lack in the house. She missed him dearly. As she went to her room , she took out thier wedding album and saw the pictures. The first picture was the one where he had proposed her officially for marriage in front of the whole crowd on stage...that to by dancing. Tears formed in her hazel eyes as she saw the picture , clicked in singapore where they went for thier honeymoon. There marriage photos and the last photo clicked by NK , the one where arnav was trying to romance with khushi in the kitchen and got caught...

"Arnavji...i wish i could touch you , feel you and your love again!!!!!!" she cried. She touched the photo and her fingers lingered on his lips..."why can't i accept the fact the fact that your..." she couldn't continue as another stream fresh tears forming in her eyes and she let them come out again...

SYDNEY , AUSTRALIA:

"Arnav...do you know how we met???" asked muskaan. Arnav nodded. "Did i know you before the accident???" he asked her. "No!!! No you didn't!!!!!" she exclaimed. "Arnav...you had your accident in India!!!!!!!" she said. She checked his reaction. She could see that he was a bit taken aback by this revelation but she decided to continue...it was his life , and as his doctor it was her duty to tell him everything.

"So...you mean we lived in india before my accident , right??" asked arnav hopefully. But to his dissmay , muskaan nodded. "No arnav...i know you from the past five years...that is after your accident!!!!!!" she said. "WHAT???" he got up from seat , getting extremely shocked. "You mean...you met me at the hospital???" he asked. She remained silent and he did find his answer. As muskaan opened her mouth to say something , he stopped her. "I don't want to here anything else muskaan...im leaving now...we will meet at home...bye!!!!" and with this he went away.

Muskaan remembered what exactly had happened that time...

Muskaan drove back home. She was tired as had three surgeries that day. Staying in the OR , for such long hours was really very hectic. As she entered the house , she saw Mrs. Rathore , standing near the balcony. "Hi!!" she exclaimed and muskaan gave her a smile.

"So...what's arnav's medical status???" she asked. Mrs. Rathore had no children. She had adopted muskaan when she was 14 and her husband was a very big businessman who was out of town for some work. Becoz arnav was muskaan's patient , they had welcomed him as thier own son...

"No progress aunty...he is have post traumatic amnesia!!!!!" she exclaimed. "What???" asked Mrs. Rathore or ankita. Muskaan turned towards ankita and said "Aunty , arnav is having a traumatic amnesia... . Mild trauma, such as a car accident that results in no more than mild whiplash, might cause the occupant of a car to have no memory of the moments just before the accident due to a brief interruption in the short/long-term memory transfer mechanism. The sufferer may also lose knowledge of who people are. Having longer periods of amnesia or consciousness after an injury may be an indication that recovery from remaining concussion symptoms will take much longer..." she huffed.

"You mean...he will never get back his memory...???" asked ankita. "I don't know aunty...but i will try my best from my side...i promise...!!!!!!" said muskaan. "I know beta , becoz i have seen your condition when he was in coma for 10 months..." ankita sighed. "Well...i have to succeed in my mission...its the matter of his life..." she thought and went towards her room.

As muskaan entered her room , she quickly opened her cupboard and searched for a trunk. A trunk which had all the belongings arnav had , before his accident. She found the trunk and opened it. She saw his torn and tattered coat , the torn tie , his burned purse...and a small box. She smiled as she took the small box out and opened it. It was arnav's engagement ring. It had the initials 'AK' on it and then she understood that Khushi , was somebody very inportant in arnav's life..."I will return you back your arnav...Miss K...!!!" she smiled to herself.

INDIA , DELHI:

Khushi remembered what happened outside arnav's room.
