I just loved the starting...Seems a sweet cute love story...but dnt know wat is going on in ur mind..hehe...Loved MN here...they r too cute to be true...

PART 2

Mayank followed the girl to the table he had booked for them and softly pulled her chair. Nupur sat down quietly and waited for it all to get over with. She had tried being angry, but well, many girls would go for a man like Mayank Sharma and if she wasnt one of them, then a plain no and good bye was the best option. Wasnted emotions on strangers wasnt her style.
''so.. Umm.. Nupur.. Nupur Bushan right?''
Nupur: ''do we really need to waste time in formalities Mayank? See..''
she leaned ignoring the shocked Mayank and quickly said, ''i heard u and uncle Raj talking out there.. Accidently (she added at the frown Mayank gave at her words) but thats not the point.. The point is, i am not the right girl for u.''
there she had said it. Taking a deep breath, she relaxed into the armchair and waited for Mayank to digest it.

Mayank was sure he was having a dream. Or all this ''larki dekhna process'' has muddled with his sane mind.
''ummm.. You mean..''
before he could complete his sentence a waiter arrived to take order. Mayank glanced at Nupur and she said, ''a coke will do.''
Mayank: ''coke?''
nupur: ''jee coke.. Is there a problem?''
mayank: ''it is not considered a healthy drink. Yeah if u talk about drinks like lemonade..''
nupur looked at the waiter and smiled her sweetest smile, ''you heard him? One coke and one lemonade.''
the waiter left bemused and Mayank was about to say something when Nupur interupted, ''plz no more health tips. We are discussing a far more important issue i percieve.''
mayank: ''yeah.. Right.. (fumbling he again bgan) u mean..u reject me?''
Nupur: ''exactly! Now we are on the right track!''
she smiled and accepted the drink waiter brought.
Mayank: ''and u say thats because u heard me talk to uncle Raj?''
Nupur: ''see Mayank.. It wasnt confirm that this meeting will finalise our wedding, but after listening to u and uncle Raj talk i realised i am not the girl u want! (she said as if trying to make Mayank realise that Apple is from alphabet A) u see.. You just need a marriage of convenience while i believe marriage is not suppose to be for that purpose. You just need a girl to make your dad happy. Once u achieve that you will have no purpose for her. Specially a girl like me. I dont want to be side kick for my husband to use whenever he needs a woman on his arm for respectable social gatherings. Simple.''
mayank twice opened his mouth to say something and then gave the expression of someone in deep thought.
Mayank: ''okay.. So at the end of the day, the point is u reject me.''
nupur: ''exactly.. Actually not exactly! Matlab i mean its not rejection Mayank. You are an eligible bachelor, a handsome man with money and gentleman like manners to compliment u, but we are not each other's type. When i marry, it will be marriage, not a contract.''
mayank (his expression clearing and his lips twitching with amusement) ''so u reject me!''
nupur looked at him dumbfounded and then caught up with the joke. She grinned sheepishly and Mayank chuckled, ''now thats better. All that serious talk was bothering my, umm.. Gentleman like manners.''
Nupur: (grinning) ''yeah well! Sorry i am a bit slow at getting humor..''
mayank: ''no problem. Thats makes u even more special.'' (he smiled and leaned closer) i have met like 6 girls already and although i made sure i tell them the real reason behind this marriage in a more proper way (he emphasised) but none of them were this honest. I really respect u for that and as for marriage and all, i guess it was nice meeting u.''
he smiled and Nupur smiled back, ''i guess ''same here'' will be the appropriate answer?''
mayank: ''umm.. It would be but somehow since we met nothing has been ''appropriate.'' ''
he laughed and Nupur joined him. Enjoying the intimacy of understanding, they stood up and shook hands, ''bye Mayank.''
''bye Nupur.''
Two strangers who shared a few moments of understanding that often people knowing eachother for years fail at smiled at one another and they both turned away leaving with Gunjan and Uncle Raj on their different ways, never for once thinking they will cross paths again.

However surprises are a special triat of life and mayank and Nupur would definitely have their share.

That is the only word that struck my mind, thoroughly enjoyed their conversation. It had a fresh feel, although the setting was cliche, but it was something different jaan, keep it up!
Looking forward for theri share of surprises. Loved poor mayank's shock! He was adorable!
