Chapter Two- The First Meeting
" Vincent College ". There it was, his second home. How he had missed his college. Well he was away for two months. How his eyes longed to see the open grounds, the wide football field, the bustling corridors and how can he forget about the boring classrooms.
" Heya ASR !!! Missed Us ! "
He turned to direction from where the voice came. He saw a group of three boys coming towards him. Not any group of boys the group of boys which were in his case the bestest friends a boy can get .
Saalon !!! Tum logon ko koi kaise miss karsakta hai . ( Saalon !!! [ I don't know the meaning of it in english sry ] How can anyone miss you guys. ) His friends never forgot about him all holidays. They would always drop in on him, but for some very awkward reason they would always come on the time when he took his Di for shopping. They pulled his leg a lot , but even he was the ASR so he had his good shair of revenge.
" Miss you ! Nah don't you guys know you were very popular on facebook all holidays " he grinned.
" Saale tune humaari zindagi barbaad kardi ! Hum facebook par toh kya ghar ke bahar bhi nahin jaa paaye " ( Saale [ again sry ] you destroyed our life ! Leave facebook we could not even step out of our house )
" Well you did mess with the ASR . " he said proudly folding his hands. " Ok leave all that who wants to play soccer !! "

" Nahin sirf 500 hi hua hai " ( No its just 500 )
There she was. Khushi Kumari Gupta was standing with her luggage next to a board saying " Vinent Girls Hostel ", fighting with the taxi driver.
What does he think .He'll take more money from me just because I'm rich. He doesn't know who I am.
" Lekin ma'am ... " ( But mam )
" Lekin kya ? Humari phone pe 500 ki baat hui thi na , sirf isliye ki aap humari family ko jaante haun iska yeh matlab to nahin ki hum aap ko zyaade paise dein " ( But what ? We talked on the phone about 500 right , just because you know our family it doesn't mean that I give you more money )
" Ma'am traffic zyaadi thi, tho zyaada petrol bhi use hoga na " ( Ma'am there was more traffic, so more petrol will be used right )
" Tho kya humein pata tha ki zyaadi traffic hogi. 500 ki baat hui thi aur yeh lijiye 500 " ( So did I know there would be more traffic. We had talked about 500 and take this 500 ) and she handed him a not of 500 rupees. No one can fool Khushi Kumari Gupta .
She entered the hostel grounds carrying her luggage. Oof kitna bhaari hai. Bed hi bacha tha woh bhi rakhleti. ( Oof its so heavy. Only the bed was left you could've kept that too. ) The ground was full of girls. Some chatterboxes were gossiping in the corner, some sporties were playing volleyball and some were just sitting and enjoying the cool breeze.
After getting lost many times ( Thanks to the seniors ). She had finally reached her room.The room where she would live for four years. Room no. 205 . " Jai Devi Mayan " she said as she entered the room. It was not much but after all it was a hostel. The walls were painted royal blue, it was clearly seen that it was repainted a few days before. The room had three beds in it with pink sheets on them and a table next to each one of them. The middle bed had luggage kept on it so she guessed someone had already come. She chose the bed next to the window , who wouldn't want cool breeze at the night and early rays of sunshine in the morning. She went near the dresser to look at herself in the mirror he had been 3 hours since she had seen herself .She saw her reflection " Cool " she told herself. She wore a red tank top with knee length denim jeans and her hair were tied in a pony. For her shoes were the most comfortable footwear so what else would she wear. Accessories and make-up were never her thing so all she wore was a quartz watch gifted to her by her mother, which she thought gave her luck.
" Are you staying here "
She shook out of her trance at this sudden voice. She turned to look at a girl who had just emerged from a door ( the washroom she thought ). The girl was wearing a casual shirt and jeans. What attracted her the most were her boots, there was somthing really awkward about them. They didn't go with the outfit she was wearing.
" Staring at my boots, are you "
" Huh ? "
" Well I got those stares all day long, then why don't I remove them ? Well I guess they give me luck "
Khushi just smiled not knowing what to say.
" Oh how can I forget ! I'm Payal. Payal Sharma " she beamed and put her hand forward.
" And I'm Khushi Kumari Gupta " she said shaking hands with Payal.
" Its good your here it was getting kinda boring here , I was here form the past two days "
" Two Days !!! Why ? "
" Well I came here from London, taught I'd take rest after a long flight but soon I was bored "
Khushi's eyes fell on something she hadn't seen before. A photo frame was kept on the table next to Payal's bed. They were two people in it, one was Payal and the other was some boy. Must be her boyfriend. Hmm... he's not so bad. I guess people in London keep photoframes of their boyfriends next to their bed. I should...
" Oh that's my brother "
" What " said a surprised Khushi. I was soo wrong.
" Yep. My irritating twin brother "
" Twin ? "
" Yep twin. His name is Nandkishore but he prefers NK. Even he got an admission here. Ooof my family won't just leave me ! "
Khushi smiled at her new roommate's statement.
" Hey why don't I show you the college, I got to know everything about it ! "
" Fine, just let me freshen up "
" Wait I'm not showing you around the college in those clothes "
" What ? "

Khushi was standing in front of the mirror yelling at Payal.
" What have you done to me "
" What ? " came a calm reply .
Khushi looked totally different now. Her casual red top was changed my a purple top. Her knee length shorts were replaced by white jeans and her hair waist-length hair were now open. Her bare eyes had mascara and purple eyeliner on them and her pink lips were full of gloss. Her feet were aching due to high-heeled sandals which she was forced to put on.
" I look so .. so .. so girly !!! "
" You look beautiful "
" Ugh... I hate you ! "
" Ok ok . Now lets Go !!! "

" You lose Varun " yelled Arnav.
" Ha it was just your luck " came the reply.
The boys were returning from the football field, full of sweat and dirt.
" I don't know about losing or winning but I enjoyed the game very much " commented Rahul putting a hand on Arnav's shoulder.
" Hey ASR, look at those two girls. Looks like their freshers " said Varun pointing at the girls.
Arnav looked in that direction and saw two girls walking around the campus. Must be exploring the college.
" What do you say Arnav , our first rag " he grinned.

" And that is Ailya, she always knows whats happening in the campus "
" Hmm. How did you come to know so much about everyone in two days "I would have not known all that even in two months.
" You get to know a lot by roaming around the campus and eavesdropping in everyone's conversations " giggled Payal.
" Hey who are those boys, coming from the field " asked Khushi out of plain curiosity.
" Oh them , well the one in the right is ... what was his name something with V.. hmm .. ya ya Varun and the one in the left is Virat and the one next to him is Rahul and the one in the center, with the green hoodie is ASR "
" ASR ? What type of a name is that ? "Ooh this heels do pain a lot ...
" Well of course its not his real name , that's what everyone calls him. It seems that he is the king of the college and he's also a topper. Popularity and marks don't come together usually "
How does she know so much about the boys. I'm sure that boys don't gossip.Oh ya, mein kaise bhoolgayi uska toh ek twin brother hai. Pagli ! ( Oh ya , how could I forget she has twin brother. Crazy ! )
" Hey Khushi don't you think their looking at us "
" Ya ,Oh gosh their coming over here."
" Lets Go ! " she pulled Khushi.
" No wait. I wanna see what they want "

" Sorry ASR we have some work , looks like you have to handle everything yourself. Let's go guys "
Hmm.. C'mon ASR you can do it. Wait are those girls staring at me.Bah who cares ok here it comes.
" Freshers, right " Arnav said pointing towards them.
" Yes " said Khushi.
Ok so I'll have to talk to this one today
" Hmm.. High heels, face full of make up etc etc. You are a girly one aren't you " he said checking Khushi out.
" What do you want " asked Khushi angrily.
" I'm sure you wouldn't be able to do a single thing that a boy could do. "
" Excuse me ! Did you just say that to me " she asked, pointing at herself.
" Ya, I just did " came a calm reply from Arnav.
" I can do whatever any boy can do " said Khushi proudly.
" Oh really ? " he smirked." Ok then to prove you point I'll give you a task. Can you... hmm...yes can you climb that pipe "
" What ? " came a surprised answer.
" I knew you could never do its way too tough for you. "
" I'll do it " said Khushi boldly.
" Ok then lets see ! " he said as they walked to the wall to which the pipe was attached. I bet she won't even reach a few centimeters.

Khushi gave an angry glare to Arnav and started climbing the pipe. Ouch ! Next time jab koi challenge logi, toh yeh to dekh lo ki tumne pairon pein kya penha hai. In heels ke saat yeh kitna mushkil ho gaya hai. ( Ouch ! Next time when you take a challenge, at least see what your wearing on your feet. Its so hard climbing with these heels )
She heard Payal praying for her " Hey Bhagvaan ! Yeh kya kar rahi hai. God please iski rakhsha karna "( Oh My God ! What's she doing. God please keep her safe )
Suddenly Khushi's foot slipped and she fell down. Keeping her eyes closed she was waiting to feel the hard ground hit her, when suddenly she felt two strong arms carrying her.
Okay guyz that was it. I know it was bad par please spare this 14 year old.đ
