first impressions: the photos of the various rooms and the tone of this story strongly recalled to my mind a fairy-tale or one of those Regency romances filled with intrigue and suspense! awww you looked at the pics. thank you.

in the first part, muskaan's characterisation reminded me strongly of khushi... the madhumati-muskaan friendship was really cute and realistic, especially the teasing between friends... muskaan's views about life and gardens were very beautifully written... thanks for liking muskaan. She's really important even though she isn't alive. there will be more about her in later updates.

poor khushi, she isn't to blame for the dark secret that seems to hover over her! moreover, those two busybodies were very shallow women not worthy of respect: impressed by khushi's beauty but then rejecting her for her silence... rather than she not being worthy of kinjal's 'perfect' son, I would guess that he wouldn't be worthy of her! what a cruel world! don't understand why devyani couldn't have told them the truth and saved madhumati and khushi some heartache. Yes its a painful journey for khushi. Madhu and devayani always try to keep her under wraps from the world.

khushi is beautiful not only physically, but also deep down to her very soul! her interactions with her buaji, raja and aman and her flitting around so happily remind me of a carefree kid or a butterfly, not someone of marriageable age! khushal is such a self-important, stuck up bore, but doesn't seem to mind spying on khushi during his walk... what has he got against her? [as I read your description of him he reminded me of that grandfather in 'ek hazaaron mein...']. lol aha you have figured it out that it was kushal who spied on khushi. 😉 nice job. Khushi's childishness is only one side of her charatcer. in the following updates you'll see more to her. 😃

that caged bird imagery was beautifully apt and said so much about khushi's life... the pathos that fills this story is an amazing piece of writing -- so much pain... be it madhumati's, khushi's, devyani's or arnav's and even khushal's as he seems to hide his pain under that cold exterior and sense of superiority! thank you so much. 😳

reading of khushi being forced to keep to the shadows brought a sharp pang and a lump to my throat... you are very good at the emotional bits... I felt a sense of dejavu on reading of arnav jumping to conclusions and roaring at a frightened khushi in the garden: so like asr in the show! Thanks. emotional bits are hard to write but interesting too. Arnav's character has a one or two leaps to go yet too.😃

raja is simply adorable: a protective presence and a true friend! loved the way he dropped arnav's file in the pool as punishment for the latter's treatment of khushi 😃... a just punishment and so intelligent of him! Yep Raja is a very soulful character and the story of Raja and khushi's past will show just how stong their bond is.

each time khushal speaks cuttingly of khushi or insultingly to his employees, I feel the urge to kick him... he seems to embody the idea that not all noblemen are gentlemen [one often comes across this idea in Regency romances] thank you!. um...is a regency romance a good thing or a bad thing?lol😆 i need to look up the meaning, lol.

love the twist in the tale: in the show, kkgsr can almost never stop talking or indulging in some crazy antics, but this khushi is silent... she suggests the idea of being a fairy or a sprite who loves nature... we get to know of khushi's feelings through her diary pages... they are her voice! You'll see more of khushi now part of the secret is out and how she interacts with everyone. I'm getting a vibe that not alot of people are liking the idea of khushi speechless, but new idea need open minds. remember actions speak loader than words.

hope you won't mind, but am going to guess the reason for khushi's muteness [such guesswork just adds to one's enjoyment of a well-written story!]: if I am not mistaken, khushi's parents seem to have perished in a fire... if that was witnessed by her, the shock and the pain of her devastating loss might have rendered her mute or made her decide not to speak! *zips lips*😆

phew, this has been quite a long comment / commentary! hope you don't mind! when a piece of writing moves me, I can't help but write about it in detail. nono i love long comments. I have to admit this is the longest anyone has ever written as a comment. reallyreally tells me you have enjoyed it and are interested in whats happening. thank you oh so much!😳
