PART 2

The two kids propped themselves on the window seats of the backseats, smiling all the while .

Arnav drove the car towards the outskirts of the city , a place he thought would be best for their outing.

"Daddy , where are we going ?" , sanaya asked cautiously . She knew her father never liked to be disturbed while he was driving. And she remembered her school teacher teaching them car ethics.

None of them knew where they were heading . They all exchanged glances , hoping Arnav would speak out.

The car screeched to a halt , at the side of the road. All they could see was large trees surrounding the entire area.

"Mommy , we goin to go for picnic in a jungle?" , Barun whispered to Khushi.

"I think so" ; sanaya giggled to herself .

"Shh.. both of you.. let's see where your daddy takes you" . They all seemed to be in for a surprise. Over all these years , she had never been to this area. It seemed to be a new world.

Arnav led them through , what seemed to be a forest . All three of them followed silently, carefully treading the muddy ground.

"Di, are there animals in here.. like tigers.. ?" , Barun spoke in a fearful voice. All the things he read in the bedtime stories seemed to be playing ahead of him.

"No , Barun .. ", Arnav quipped , as he kept walking ahead.

At last they reached their destination. It was the most beautiful sight they had seen in their lives , except arnav. He had travelled to exotic places around the globe. But today he wanted to bring them here, what seemed to be heaven for the little kids.

The tiring 4 hour journey , didn't seemed to matter anymore. The beautiful place had taken their breath away .

The mountains could be seen clearly in their view. The lush greenery , the twittering birds, the fog laden clouds. It reminded the kids of movie scenes.

Khushi was mesmerized with the surroundings. It seemed like a perfect place for them to spend the day and she thanked Arnav mentally , for his plan .

They squatted on the big mat that was brought along with the basic requirements of the picnic.

The first hour went in regaling themselves in nature's beauty. Arnav lay on the mat gazing at the sky , while his kids played around with their mother. They laughed, fell, jumped around the whole place.

Just then sanaya was struck upon another idea. She ran towards Arnav , bending down , she asked him..

"Daddy can we swim in the river" , she asked him hopefully. Sanaya was an expert swimmer at the age of seven. She loved swimming . And the raizada pool seemed to be in use after so many years.

Arnav stared at her, trying to understand what she was saying . He had swam in river when he was a kid. Little did he know his own daughter would ask such a question.

"What ? U can't swim in there?"

"Ofcourse we can, and we will teach Barun to swim as well".Her eyes were so full of animation.Arnav couldn't say no.

"Yes , my girl .. lets go ".He smiled at her .

"Yay..". Sanaya jumped around , grabbing her mum in excitement , and begging her to join them.

"No, u go with daddy .. Il watch u swim ", she brushed off the request politely.

Sanaya gave a disapproving look , but finally understood. She looked at Barun and asked him to join them.

Barun hid behind Khushi , that clearly meant a no.

"He will come later sanaya".

In a few minutes, sanaya and Arnav were effortlessly swimming in the river, crossing from one end to another. They looked like two large fishes, wriggling their way through the clear waters.

Khushi and Barun quietly sat down by the riverside, watching the other two take a swim.

"U ready to go Barun?" Khushi inquired his little son.

"No ", he answered shyly , munching away the choclate cookies.

Khushi sweeped his hair on one side , and planted a big kiss on his forehead. He was a darling.

Just then Arnav hopped in between the mother-son conversation . He pulled Barun in his arms and headed towards the river.

"Mumma , I don't want to go in water.. I will drown..i can-t swii'mm". Barun cried loudly, trying to free himself from his father's arms. He kept calling khushi, hoping she would come and free him from this nightmare.

Khushi silently watched the two walk away. She wanted Barun to be a brave boy and Arnav was definitely taking the right step.

Barun helplessly cluthched on to arnav as he lowered him in the waters. Arnav pulled away ,knowing that would make his cute liitle son react to the situation.

Barun kicked his feet in the waters, hoping his daddy would pull him out. But all Arnav did was held him by his stomach . In the next half an hour barun was swimming like a pro, enjoying every bit of it.

Sanaya went and hugged her brother and screamed in happiness .

"You did it Barun", she spoke delightedly.

"Di , shall we race?", he smirked at her , followed by a wide grin. Arnav swam besides them, and all three raced in the still river that had found visitors after such a long time.

All this while, khushi sat on the ground , plucking away the grass that was beside her . Her eyes were fixated on the three of them . They were beautiful moments '.

.After another half hour of swimming , they grew tired. Sanaya and Barun strolled towards khushi. She handed them their towels and changed sanaya's and barun's clothes and combed their hair. Arnav kept himself in the water, as it was giving him a refreshing time, over years of working .

Khuhi and children ate sandwiches that were made specially by Anjali . She loved Barun and sanaya like her own child.

The two of them dozed of on the mat. Afer all , swimming was lot of hardwork. Khushi kissed her two kids on their lips, as they slept soundly under the blue skies.

Arnav watched all of it from his place. By now, he too was worn out. He walked slowly towards the sitting area. His hair and body dripped of freshwater.

Khushi stared at him, as he moved closer with every step. He looked thunderously handsome, and with that hairdo caused by the water, she was already squirming at the way he looked at her.

He finaaly reached next to her.

"Heyya, khushi", he spoke in his sensual honey tone, pulling the towel from her hand.

All khushi could feel, was her heart rise from her chest, and her breath uneven. She was lost in him.

So this was it.. Atleast that's what i could think off 😆 I would try to include some arHi romance in the next chapter.. if u guys had expected it..
