Part 9

Aarav: Mummy, are we ever gonna see my new Aunty again? He sweetly asked Khushi as she tucked him into bed.

Khushi: Of course we will ASR. She white-lied , she didn't have a nerve to bring Aarav back into the Raizada's not after the shame brought upon them. Go to sleep baby, we have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow.

Aarav: Good night Mummy, love you. He yawned, gradually nodding off to sleep.

Khushi: I love you too my jalebaby! She whispered into his ear as she kissed him goodnight. As soon as she was assured that Aarav was fast asleep, she went into her own room to relax only to be interrupted with a loud knock at the door. Who could it be at this time? She wondered, opening the door but without any form of warning she was aggressively pushed back into the room by two pair of bulky arms. THUM! She yelled, swiftly gathering herself together from the sudden shock.

Arnav: Haan Mein! He growled, slamming the door shut.

Khushi: What are YOU doing here? She quietened her voice down, aware that Aarav was in the next room. How dare you come into my room?!

Arnav: Because I want my answers NOW damnit!

Khushi: LEAVE before I call security, you-you can't intrude into my room like this.

Arnav: What's security going to do, kick me out? I can buy this hotel within seconds Khushi and then you won't be able to do anything.

Khushi: Look, okay, we can do this another time but not NOW. Having Arnav and Aarav in such a close proximity was a risk Khushi wasn't willing to take.

Arnav: No, you will give me my answers tonight.

Khushi: What! What do you want to know?! She snapped, giving in. Arnav was just as stubborn as her.

Arnav: Why YOU drastically changed, when everything in our lives was running smoothly?! Why did you REALLY leave?! He questioned her, desperately wanting to know the truth. I thought we were in love Khushi, you know how I felt about you. The pitch of his voice reduced as he spoke in a more gentle tone. I married you again; I followed every DAMN rasm for you, went against my family for our love and soon after you distanced yourself away from me. WHY? Tears leaked out of her hazel like eyes, he would never understand her pain.

Khushi: Why don't you ask your 'angelic' sister instead? She blurted as her frustration increased.

Arnav: Don't involve Di into OUR problems.

Khushi: Right, because Di could never do anything wrong.

Arnav: He was confused, what was Khushi trying to imply? What are you talking about Khushi?! Why is this Di's fault?

Khushi: Nothing, forget I even said anything. She knew for sure Arnav will never agree with her if it's anything that opposes his sister.

Arnav: I thought you left because of Lavanya and me.

Khushi: Bravo, you remember now. She knew that the 'affair' wasn't the reason but just the trigger of her leaving. You cheated on me; do you really think I will stick around with you?

Arnav: He rapidly grabbed both of her arms tightly and yanked her slender body closer to his body. Now YOU listen to me without opening that big mouth of yours! He ordered in a deathly tone causing her body to shudder. If you let me explain that night without jumping to conclusions you would know that I never cheated on you. Lavanya was JUST a friend, as a friend I saved her from getting RAPED AGAIN by a man who stalked her. The man had torn half of her clothes that's why she was semi naked in our room and those DNA results that you found weren't mine they were HIS. I hired an investigator to collect the rapists DNA to prove that Lavanya had been raped and that she was carrying his child. So tell me Khushi, am I a cheater now?! She was shocked as hell but more angry with herself for misunderstanding Arnav once again.

Payal: Akash, you've made a very big mistake by giving Arnavji Khushi's room number. Do you really expect that they'll makeover over night?!

Akash: No but I'm sure tonight will be a start that is if they don't decide to kill eachother.

Payal: But Aarav will obviously be there, you have to go and stop Arnavji before we make matters worse between the two...

Khushi: Regardless of whether you cheated on me or not, our relationship was already on breaking point.

Arnav: BECAUSE OF YOU KHUSHI He roared, fuming with anger. Khushi had already seen all colours of Arnavs anger but this one was definitely the darkest and the one that made her shake like a leaf. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CHANGED!

*Flashback*

Shyam: Khushiji, please don't cry. You don't need them, WE don't need them. It's me and you forever now.

Khushi: She violently shoved his hand off her shoulder. Don't you ever put your filthy hands on me. This is happening because of YOU. Di wants me out because of YOU. She cried, Shyam was enjoying every moment of this.

Shyam: Come on, Arnav isn't here to watch us. He gruesomely smirked, causing Khushi to physically want to puke.

Khushi: D..Don't you dare. She muttered in fear, as he slowly started to come closer and closer towards her until she could no longer escape. ARNAVJI. She screamed, unable to be released from Shyams tight grasp.

Shyam: Arnavji, Arnavji, Arnavji. He mimicked Khushi's tone and laughed as he covered her mouth with his hand not allowing her to speak .It's just me and you now, darling. NO Arnav or Anjali to come in between us now. He cackled, forcibly pouring a form of liquid into Khushi's mouth, she had no option but to gulp it down...

*End of Flashback*

Aarav: MUMMMY! Aarav whined bursting into an explosion of tears interrupting the feisty fight between his parents. Mummy! Arnav stopped yelling as he registered that he WASN'T having an illusion, what he was hearing was real and his worst nightmares could indeed be coming true.

Khushi: I...I'm coming baby. She echoed back, struggling to remove Arnavs hands off her arms but he refused to budge. He stood still, clutching onto Khushi's arms, gawping towards the direction of where the cries were coming from. A-rnavji, please just let go of me, he, he NEEDS me. She pleaded, he still didn't let go and remained expressionless. Khushi knew he had probably figured it out and right now she didn't care as her only priority now was to console her baby. Please, please! Aarav had found his way through to his Mother instead.

Aarav: Mummy, I'm scared. Their heads instinctively turned around to see Aarav crying bucket loads. Arnav instantly released Khushi and carefully observed her quickly running to embrace Aarav into a hug.

Khushi: Baby, did you have a nightmare?! She asked him in a worried tone as she wiped his tears away with her scarf, almost forgetting Arnavs presence. Aarav nodded but his attention quickly turned to Arnav.

Aarav: Forgetting that only 2 seconds ago he was frightened to death, he joyfully leapt over to Arnav. ICE-CREAM UNCLE! Both were beyond shocked, Khushi had finally acknowledged who the 'stalker' uncle was and Arnav now knew who this 'irresponsible' mother was. Was fate trying to play a game with them?

Aarav: Ice-cream uncle, did you come over here to play with me? Arnav did nothing, said nothing but stare at Aarav wide-eyed not bothering to respond back to Aaravs hugs and sweet talks.

Khushi: A-a-rav, let go of Uncle now. She hesitantly said as she brought Aarav away from his father. Arnav was definitely not in the right frame of mind now to be around his son or her infact Khushi was assured that Arnav was remaining so quiet because he was planning her assassination in his head. as she brought Aarav away from Arnav.

Aarav: Mummy, what's wrong with him? He whispered. Khushi shrugged, knowing that Arnav would explode if she spoke against him.

Arnav: His eyes now travelled to meet hers, stares transforming into evil glares. Who's ch-? He stopped midway, choking on his own words. He would never recover from this shock. After a few seconds of inhaling and exhaling without taking any pauses he questioned her: Why did you he call you MUMMY, Khushi?...
