Chapter 12

Khushi sat on the bed motionless. Sa there remembering everything that had happened this evening. She lost her Arnav, her everything. She told him the truth about leaving. She leaned her head on her knee and began to cry.

"I love you Arnav." And she continued to sob.

Kaise mujhe tu mil gayi,

Khushi sat up and climbed into her draw. She got out a picture of Arnav.

She realised what it mean to have true love in someone's life. She realised how much she loved Arnav.

She realised how much she wanted him.

She realised how much love hurts.

She sobbed and sobbed until it hurt.

" kyu yeh mere saath kyu hota hai?" Khushi asked herself.

She stood out of bed and walked out onto the balcony. She looked up to the stars that were twinkling and the moon that was shining'''

Mein to yeh sochta tha ki aaj kal,
Upar wale ko fursat nahi,
Phir bhi tumhe bana ke woh,
Meri nazar mein chadh gaya,
Rutbe mein woh aur badh gaya..

Khushi thought about how her other boyfriend had broken her heart. How he didn't even regret it and admitted to not loving her. And then there was Arnav. How eager he was to prove his love to her. How eager he was to be with her. How eager she was to be with him.

Badle raaste jharne aur nadi,
Badli deep ki timtim,
Chedhe zindagi dhun koi nayee,
Badli barkha ki rimjhim,
Badlengi rituyein adaa,
Par mein rahungi sada,
Ussi tarah teri bahon mein baahein daalke,
Har lamha, har pal..

Khushi thought about how Arnav comforted her no matterwhat. When they first started going out, how thoughtful and considering he was. How he used to comfort her and always be there for her. And how he couldn't take her crying. Khushi carried on sobbing harder and harder. Oh how she just wanted him right now with her. To be in his arms every second, every moment.

Zindagi sitar ho gayi,
Rimjhim malhaar ho gayi,
Mujhe aata nahi kismat pe apni yakeen,
Kaise mujhko mili tum..

Khushi couldn't believe it. She had a man who truly loved her no matter what. Who would be there no matte what, who would love her no matte what. She didn't know that she would ever get a man like him''.

Khushi went back inside and lay on the bed and dosed off to sleep.
