Chapter 3 :
Kruti: Worry not, when we are here!
Someone: and we too.
Shakti was hell lot of surprised on hearing this voice. She could not believe it was really him. She turned slowly to face him and was even more surprised. He was not alone. All of them were together. Shakti stood like that in pin-drop silence for some time and then slowly came back to her senses. She ran up to him and engulfed him in a tight hug.
Shakti: O.M.G. Archie, is that really you?
Archie did not reply anything as he was too busy taking in her feeling again. It has been long since he last saw her. Or even heard her voice for that matter.
Sam: Uh! Not again.
Bharat: Woh akela nahi hai. Hum bhi hai.
Shakti pulled away and looked at them apologetically, pouting slightly. Archie just laughed at her expression. His arms were still wound around her waist. Shakti finally let go of his hold and met everyone individually.
Shakti: It's been so long guys. It seems like forever since we last met.
Sneha: Exactly Shaks. It's been six years.
Shakti: Long six years!
Shantanu: Well I didn't want to spoil your moment (eyeing the two who were still in between a hug), but to be precise it has been 6 years, 7 months, 3 weeks, 5 days, 13 hours, 47 minutes and some seconds.
Shakti let go off Sneha and ran into Shan's arms.
Shakti: You remember?
Archie (from behind): Of course, everyone does. We missed you so much Shaks. It's been hell without you.
Priyanka: Exactly! Everything has been so boring. It's not the same without you. You know, I'm just so happy that we are not D3ing anymore, because to be true, it was no fun without you.
Shakti: Aw mere pyaare pyaare bache. Common guys, cheer up. We are here for an event and not some rona-dhona center. Common let's enjoy.
Everyone hooted at her decision and started mingling. Shakti was standing with Priyanka, Vrinda and Kruti - her besties. She looked around to have a sight of everyone. Alisha was there with the DID people clearly missing old days and catching up with them. Jack was trying to flirt with Sam. Shakti giggled at seeing that. It was so like Jack. Ladki dikhi nahi and he's already trying. Further she saw, Shantanu and Sneha lost in their own world. And it took her no time to realize that finally the two fools understood their feelings. She decided to congratulate them later. Her gaze further moved on and settled on him - the last person she wanted to see. And it was then she noticed he was standing with 'her'. Her heart flinched and she felt bad. Involuntarily, she went to the past. It was for 'her' and him that everything was the way it is today. She closed her eyes to stop the much dreaded memories from coming back to her mind. She was in her own world, when Mukti's voice broke her concentration.
"What?" she asked irritated. "They're coming!", Mukti informed her. It was all that took Shakti to enter the hyper mode. She excused herself from everyone and ran up the stairs to a room with Mukti right behind her.
