Hello All <3 I'm so, so sorry for the late update. School has been hectic. But I will keep trying to update this fanfic as soon as I can. Also some new character pics are added to page one. So do check that out. Please read and comment <3 :) Without further ado, here is Chapter 11 of Dangerous Ishqq. -

Chapter (11) Eleven

"Kya hua? No smashing plates, no taunting, no tantrums..." Anjali said with a smile, looking back and forth between Arjun and Preeti. "Am I in the wrong house?" She asked, taking a seat beside Preeti, as Ranveer took the one opposite her.

"I think the better question here is, how did you sleep last night?" Arjun asked with a cheeky grin, causing Ranveer to spit out his coffee. Ignoring Ranveer's withering glare, he looked expectantly at Anjali waiting for her answer.

Anjali looked surprised for a split second, but soon recovered. "Wonderfully. You know, minus your snoring." She smirked.

Preeti laughed while Arjun seemed to be at a loss for words. He clearly wasn't expecting Anjali to be so nonchalant about the whole thing. He thought she would've turned bright red and stuttered a bit. But here she was acting like it was no big deal?

"Nicely played." he told her with a wink. "You've learned well." After a pause, he turned to her with a devilish grin. "And don't worry. If you won't talk, Ranveer will just tell me later." Laughing at his success when Anjali started choking on her toast.

Preeti narrowed her eyes as Anjali laid out a yellow salwar kameez to wear.

"Anji, no. You need to stop dressing like that." she said.

"What's wrong with the way I dress?" Anjali asked with a pout.

Preeti gave her a pointed look. "You dress like a behenji."

"Hey! I do not!" Glancing in the mirror, she took in the light green anarkali she was wearing. "Do I?"

"Most of the time. I mean, you're gonna have to wear all these traditional clothes after marriage anyways, why start now? And If you want to keep Ranveer's eyes from wandering, you'll take my advice. Statistics show that 78% of the time, men cheat on their spouse with the 'plastic barbie doll' type."

Anjali quirked an eyebrow. "Are you being serious right now? Which magazine did you read that from?"

"Cosmo." She said.

"Well I am not going to rely on Cosmo to tell me that my marriage will end before it starts, thanks to the way I dress."

"Hey, don't diss cosmo ok? And by the way, you still haven't told me what you were doing in Ranveer's room all night." Preeti asked. "Other than, you know..." She said making a kissy face.

"Shut up! It was nothing like that." She said throwing her hair brush at Preeti who had collapsed into a fit of giggles.

"Sure Anj. I believe you. And that mark on your neck is a burn from your hair straightener right?" Preeti said with a smirk.

Anjali rushed over to the mirror and looked at her neck to find that, there was indeed a red mark. Flashing back to what transpired earlier this morning, she felt her face heat up. Quickly she re-adjusted her dupatta so it covered the bite mark.

"Is this my sweet, innocent baby sister? What has happened to you?" Preeti said dramatically.

"Haha. Hilarious. And you're only older by 3 minutes."

"I hope you know what you're doing Anjali." Preeti said, turning serious. "It's not like you at all to jump head first into something, without thinking twice about the consequences."

Anjali went and sat beside her. "I don't know what I'm doing. All I know is I trust Bhaiyaa. Completely. Whatever he does it's for our best."

Preeti looked at her sister. "So you were just going to blindly agree anyways then."

"Not necessarily." Anjali disagreed. "You've met Ranveer. Does he seem like the serial killer type to you?" she teased.

"Looks can be deceiving."

"Preeti. I thought you liked him." Anjali said.

"Okay. So he's a nice guy. And he isn't bad on the eyes either." She said causing Anjali to laugh. "All I'm asking you to do is find out more about him. Before the engagement. Something seems a bit too add about this whole thing. I mean, Bhaiyaa, our over-protective older brother Raj Sharma, leaves us at home with Ranveer and Arjun all alone?"

Anjali frowned. Yes, it did bother her at first. That was not normal behavior for her brother. He usually had bodyguards following them everywhere he couldn't go with them. And now? Shrugging it off, she reassured Preeti. "He trusts us. That's why."

Preeti wasn't so sure. Deciding to drop the subject for now, she looked back at Anjali. "So, sparks are flying huh?" she asked with a grin.

Anjali blushed a deep red. "Is it obvious?"

Preeti laughed. "Well, if it makes you feel better, he looks at you like a lovesick puppy quite frequently." She said, making Anjali giggle.

Ranveer shot a glare at Arjun, who stared at him with a huge grin plastered on his face.

"I KNEW IT!" Arjun said. "I knew this wasn't all strictly duty. You're falling in love with her. It's written all over your face!"

"Shut up Arjun. And give me those reports Tanya sent." Ranveer replied, clearly annoyed.

"No, I'm going over them. I don't know why she insists on sending them specifically to you. I'm just as a part of the ATB as you are. That witch. She better get it in her head that you're about to get married." Arjun said to him.

"How did you ever become an ATB officer?" Ranveer asked in disbelief.

"Don't change the subject. Tanya better lay off, and I don't care how long you two have been 'good friends', he said using air quotes. "Cause I'm gonna take this whole Devar thing very seriously."

"Devar, huh?" Ranveer asked him. "Tum-" He was cut off by his phone ringing. Arjun grabbed it before he could and answered.

"Maa! How are you? I was just about to call you back." he said nervously, remembering the missed call on his phone from his mom.

Poonam smiled upon hearing Arjun's nervous tone. "Haan, haan. I'm sure you were beta. Where's Ranveer?"

"Oh he's right here. But he wanted me to tell you something. He was too shy to tell you himself, so I volunteered."

Ranveer looked warily at him. What was he upto?

"Ranveer's in loveee!" Arjun informed his mother. Ranveer dived for the phone causing Arjun to get up and run.

"Really?" Poonam asked. "Ranveer, aur Pyaar?"

"See? I knew you'd be shocked. But I'm serious! Trust me, you'll love her. I'm going to SMS a picture of her to you later ok?"

"And what about you?" Poonam asked Arjun. "When will I get my choti bahu?"

"Sooner than you think! But you know, I like to keep my options open." he told her, making her laugh.

Soon after he said his goodbyes, he ended the call to find Ranveer still glaring at him.

"You know, you need to emote more. All I'm seeing are these harsh glares on your face. That causes wrinkles you know."

"You done?" Ranveer asked him.

"Hmmm...Yep. Done." he replied, barely ducking out of the way as Ranveer lunged at him.

"Get back here Arjun." Ranveer yelled, going after him.

"You, my brother, need to loosen up." Arjun retorted.

Screeching to a halt, he stopped when he heard some giggling.

"What?" Ranveer asked him, when he signaled for him to be quiet.

"And you? Aren't you going to listen to Bhaiyaa when the time comes?" they heard Anjali say.

Moving closer to the door Arjun pressed his ear against it. Ranveer shook his head at him. "Tu kabhi nahi sudhrega."

"Of course not. I'm not going to marry some complete stranger. Love doesn't happen over night you know." Preeti answered her.

"Statistics show, majority of marriages that fail are love marriages, as opposed to arranged ones." Anjali teased hers. "I read Cosmo too you know." she smirked.

"Yeah, yeah. Funny." Preeti said getting up, and stopping suddenly when she heard a muffled voice coming from outside the room.

"Here we are, ATB officers, with a crap-load of gadgets for spying, and we have our ears pressed against a door." Arjun mumbled.

"We?" Ranveer asked. "I believe you are the one glued to the door."

"SHHH! I hear my name!"

Preeti smirked as she realized it was indeed Arjun and Ranveer outside the room.

"Actually Anj, I already have someone in mind." She said winking at Anjali and pointing at the door.

Anjali smirked understanding what she meant. "Oh?" she said feigning surprise. "Who?"

"Your Devar. Arjun." she said. "I mean think about it. I won't be far from you, and he's rich and powerful, what else do I want?"

Arjun looked dumbstruck, while Ranveer struggled to hold in a laugh.

"And he's too stupid to realize what I'm planning anyways. After the wedding, it'll be too late." She continued, slowly going over to the door. "One night, after he falls asleep..." She trailed off, suddenly opening the door, causing Arjun to fall in.

Ranveer, walked in with a sheepish smile.

Preeti and Anjali took one look at Arjun on the floor, and erupted into hysterical laughter.

Arjun just stared at Preeti with a shocked face.

Ranveer looked at him with a grin. 'Maa's choti bahu is actually closer than she thinks.'

Back to the update, it was brilliant, awesome as always but no romance... its ok im sure it'll be there in the next update😊

omfg! oh em eff gee. i come home after the longest day of school ever to find a pm from you saying you updated d i! you jus made my week.

that was a brilliant wonderful fantastic fabulous super cali fragilistic expiali docious update. i throughly enjoyed it. it was too cute. all the sibling bonding and cute scenes.

im falling in love with all ur characters . the more i read the harder i fall lol

love ranveer and arjuns brotherly arguments. and the part where they were spying lol priceless.

and i feel like ur giving us clues, dropping hints on raj. does he know more than he's letting on?

the part with the boys talking to their mom was adorable.

and hawww! anjali has a bite mark on her neck 😳😲😉

hoping to see some hot romantic scenes in upcoming chapters you kno. lol
