PART 5

The next week went ahead as usual. Dinner at Kripa's and Angad's house on planned days and then it was finally saturday. Kripa and Angad got into Angad's jeep and decided to go treking. When they started driving, Kripa noticed that angad was going in the wrong direction.

K: Angad tum galat raaste par jaa rahe ho. its the other way

A: ohh..mein tumhe batana bhool gaya.

K: what?

A: humare saath Tanya bhi aa rahi hai

K: what? Tanya....lekin angad this was our.....

A: come on kripa...Tanya missed out on the Ball so i thought i should invite her.

K: ok fine whatever. par meri bhi ek shart hai

A: kaisi shart?

K: uh...hum Sahil ko pick up kar lenge

A: what? uss Sahil ko? lekin kyon?

K: Angad maine usse date ke liye mana kar diya tha...i want to make it up too.

A: lekin kripa woh...

K: kyon kya hua? agar tum tanya ko lekar aa sakte ho to kya mein sahil ko nayi laa sakti.

A: yea ofcourse you can....sure

Kripa smiled in front of him and then looked away and her expression changed to one of boredom. She had thought that this was their chance to spend some time together...but Tanya and Sahil had to come in the middle. This annoyed her a lot. But she didnt say anything...if this made Angad happy then it was ok.

Angad stopped the car in front of Tanya's house and went inside to go get her. When he left, Kripa took out her cell phone to call Sahil..

S: hello?

K: hi Sahil...

S: oh hi kripa...ummm iss waqt phone kaise kiya?

K: sahil i wanted to say sorry. i mean for cancelling the date.

S: oh..its ok kripa. emergencies happen and i understand.

K: thanks..but i cant forgive myself...i want to make it up to you

S: what do you mean?

K: Sahil hum kuch dost mil kar treking par ja rahe hai...i want you to come to...

S: lekin kripa i have to do something.

K: please sahil...it will make me happy.

S: ok fine. i'll come...

K: oh great..um..angad and i will pick you up..in about 20 minutes?

S: 20 minutes? its a short notice i must say....

K: sahil i know...but i want to say something to you.

S: yea?

K: i really like you sahil..i mean you are one of those few guys i have met in life that know how to respect women....and i respect you for that..

S: kripa you know i like you too right?

K: yea and thats why im picking you up in 20 minutes. ok?

S: yea...ok. i'll be waiting for you.

K: bye

Kripa hangs up and stares at her cell phone for a moment and then puts it away, smiling in the process. Soon enough, Angad and Tanya come out of her house and Angad comes to Kripa's window...

A:(whispers to her so tanya cant hear): kripa...please do me a favor

K: what now angad?

A: sshh...speak lower

K: oh what now?

A: please sit in the back. i want tanya to sit in the front with me

K: (yells) what??

A: sshh...please...just this time.

K: angad this is not fair.

A: i know...im sorry.

K: fine let me get out.

Kripa gets out of the car and looks at Tanya with irritation and goes and sits in the back. During the drive to Sahil's house, Kripa sits in the back with an angry expression. Angad talks to Tanya the whole time and everytime he glances in the rear mirror, he sees Kripa angry. This makes him smile. He always liked Kripa better when she was angry...she looked cuter and it was fun to make her angry.

They finally got to Sahil's house. Kripa finally smiled and got out of the car to go get him. Kripa goes to his door and knocks on it. Sahil opens it and smiles [ SAHIL IS PLAYED BY SHINY AHUJA..THE GUY IN THE MOVIE " GANGSTER "..I THINK HE'S KINDA CUTE ]

S: hey kripa...come in.

K: umm..we have to go soon

S: yea i know...but this is the first time you have come to my house.....atleast have some coffee.

K: uh i dont know....

S(takes her hand and drags her in): come on in kripa...dont be shy!!

K: no its just..

Kripa entered his house and was surprised to see how clean it is. She smiled at this. She sat on the couch and Sahil brought her the coffee. She tasted it and smiled again. Unknowingly, everything about Sahil reminded her of Angad. His house was so clean, which was very rare for bachelors. His coffee tasted exactly like Angad's too. Seeing her smile, Sahil asked her...

S: tum itna muskura kyon rahi ho?

K: oh..umm...nothing really. bas kuch yaad aa gaya.

Sahil goes and sits next to Kripa. They both look at each other and suddenly their eyes meet. Kripa saw something in his eyes that she was always looking for...something she always wanted. Something that made her feel special...but again, she had seen somewhere else as well...somewhere that she couldnt think of it. After that awkward moment, Kripa looked away and so did Sahil, noticing that she was a little uncomfortable.

S: umm...i think we should get going....rite?

K: yea we should...ummm.lets go.

S: yea, i just need to wash our cups. hold on for a minute

Hearing this, kripa smiled again. She was reminded of something again, but she just couldnt place her finger on it. There was a sense of deja vu when she was with Sahil and this made her want to get to know him more.

They finally got out of the house and walked to the car. Angad looked at them with an annoyed expression.

A: kaha the tum dono?

S: oh we were just having some coffee.

A: coffee? ab tum dono ke wajah se hum late ho jayenge

S: oh im so......

K: no sahil. you dont have to be sorry.

K: angad...just mind your own business. i didnt say anything when you took forever to go get Tanya...so just shut up now!!!

This hurt Angad. Kripa always asked him to "shut up" but this time she sounded like she meant it. He looked straight forward and Kripa and Sahil got into the car.

Angad and Kripa didnt look at each other during the whole drive. Occasionally, Angad glanced at Kripa from his rear view mirror and then looked away when he saw Kripa and Sahil talking and laughing. Finally, it had been 3 hours since Angad was driving. Everyone was sleeping and angad was getting tired of driving. Slowly, his attention started to drift away from the road. Soon enough, Angad fell asleep at the wheel and the car began to move in an unwanted direction. But Angad suddenly woke up and moved the car back on the road in a hurry. Everyone woke up in a jerk and Angad suddenly stopped the car. Everyone was shocked at what had just happened and they looked at Angad.

K: angad kya hua? are you ok?

A:----(too shocked to answer)-----

S: angad? is everything alrite?

A: uh yea...i dont know what happened. im sorry guys.

T: angad i think you should rest. umm..do you want to get a room somewhere here and rest?

A: oh no...i think we should get going. we need to get there before its dark. and plus its only like an hour more. i'll manage

S: angad you should rest. i'll drive the rest of the way.

A: lekin sahil...

K: Angad..sahil theek keh raha hai. you need to rest. um..sahil you should drive.

S: yea.

Sahil and Angad got out of the car and exchanged seats. Angad sat next to kripa. worried about him, kripa put her hand on his.

K: are you okay angad?

A: tumhe kya fark padta hai kripa?

K: youre right. i dont care...you never meant anything to me anyway rite?

Angad looks away and rests his head on the window. Kripa looks at him and there are a few tears in her eyes. She moves away from him and they both sit on the opposite sides of the car, both of them looking out the window with tears in their eyes.Somewhere deep inside...they knew that they had hurt each other...but no one wanted to accept it.

After another hour, they finally reached the resort. Angad and Kripa got out of the car and so did Tanya and Sahil. Kripa moved forward to lift Angad's luggage as he wasnt feeling well but he harshly moved her away and took it himself. Sahil came to Kripa and took her luggage. Kripa just followed them into the resort.

(receptionist = R)

R: hello guys...welcome to Holiday Inn.

A: hi...we booked our rooms here....Angad Khanna

R: yes sir, you did. here are the keys to your 2 rooms.

Angad took them and gave one key to kripa.

K:whoa whoa whoa...hold on!! two keys? we are four people here

A: yea i know. according to our original plan...sahil wasnt going to come..so i booked on room for tanya and me....and this other room for you....if you want we can go get another room or sometihng

K: hold on guys

K(to the receptionist): excuse me, can we book another room here?

R: sorry ma'am but there are no more rooms left.

K:what?

K(to Sahil): i am sooo sorry Sahil...i didnt know this was going to happen.

S: oh no problems...we can do one thing. how about angad and i stay in one room and tanya and you can take the other room.

T: what? no way guys...im here to spend some time with Angad. i mean...am i rite angad?

A: uhh...tanya come on...there are no more rooms left.

T: so what hun? i mean why cant Sahil and Kripa stay in one room? whats the big deal anyway?

Angad looked at Kripa, helplessly. Kripa gets angry and grabs Sahil's hand.

K: ok fine tanya...there is not big deal. Come on Sahil, we will be staying in the same room today. Bye tanya

She walks a little ahead with Sahil, towards Angad. She looks into his eyes and he looks into hers.

K: bye Angad...i hope you have a good time because I will...

She just dragged Sahil and left to go to their room. Angad, annoyed at Kripa and Tanya, just walks away. Tanya follows him as well.

The rest of the day, the "couples" spent time in their own room.

Angad and Tanya...

Anga took a quick shower and came out to see Tanya sitting on the bed. He looked at her and felt a little uncomfortable. He went and sat on the couch. He rested his head on the back of it and closed his eyes.Suddenly, he felt an arm around his shoulder. He opened his eyes to see Tanya sitting next to him.

T: hi baby...are you okay?

A:(shifting a little uncomfortably): yea..uhh...just a little tired

T: i know....

She gets closer to him. This time, Angad ignores it a little and looks away. Then she gets closer and kisses his neck, Angad still sits there, trying to hold it in. But when she comes closer to kiss him, he pushes her back a little and gets up. He moves a little away and goes and sits on the bed.

A: tanya im tired...i need to get some sleep before we go on that treking trip

T(angry): fine....im gonna go take a walk.

A: ok

Tanya grabs her jacket and leaves the room. Angad rests on the bed and closes his eyes and rests.

Kripa and Sahil.....

Kripa and Sahil sat in front of the TV, watching a soccer match. After it ended, Sahil moved a little but realized that Kripa had fallen asleep in his arms. He tried moving but was unsuccessful. He glanced at Kripa and smiled a little. Her innocent face made him smile. She looked so beautiful with the dim lights on her face. He hadnt even realized when she slowly drifted into sleep on his shoulders. He moved a little closer to get a better look at her. He liked the way her hair felt on his arm. She looked so innocent that he didnt want to wake her up but he couldnt stop himself from moving closer to her. When he was just a centimeter away from her, she suddenly woke up as she felt his warm breath on her face. She quickly moved away and looked at him awkwardly.

S: uh..i didnt want to wake you up

K: im sorry. i just...i guess i was really tired.

S: its ok...

K: uh i think im gonna go take a shower or something.

S: oh..ok sure. im gonna use the internet till then

K: ok

Kripa went to take a shower. She felt a little awkward but she ignored her feelings. When she came out of the shower, Sahil was still on the computer. He glanced at her and suddenly his eyes stopped. His stare made her uncomfortable but she moved to the closet to get a sweater. Sahil continued to stare at her. Kripa quickly opened the closet and took out a sweater but before she could close the door, she felt Sahil standing behind her. She didnt move..He came closer to her and slowly moved the hair off her neck. Kripa was frozen, she couldnt move anymore. He kissed her neck and turned her around. He looked into her eyes and Kripa was drawn into their seductivity. He moved closer to her and finally he was just a millimeter away from her. If she moved, their lips would touch. Sahil moved a little closer and Kripa closed her eyes. But right before their lips could touch, Sahil let go of her. Kripa, surprised, opened her eyes and looked at Sahil. He moved back.

S: i'm sorry..

He grabbed his jacket and left the room. Kripa put on her sweater, sat on the bed, and sighed. What had just happened?

Sahil put on his jacket and walked to the elevator. When it opened, he went inside and was surprised to find Tanya there as well. Tanya saw him and said hi

S: tanya tum yaha. i thought you wanted to spend some time with Angad

T: i did....but maybe he doesnt want to

S: why do you say that?

T: because....forget it. tum batao...how is it going with kripa

The whole scene with Kripa just flashes in his mind. He feels uncomfortable.

S: its fine. we were just watching a soccer match

T: a soccer match? how boring!! but again i would do anything to just be next to angad. i dont know why he invited me if all he wanted to do was sleep!

S: he was a little tired...didnt you notice, there was something different about Angad today

T: yea i did notice...dont know what but he was a little reserved today

The elevator door opened and they took a walk along the garden. They didnt talk for a while...all they did was listen to the cars drive by and the wind blew in their hair as an impact of that.... but finally Sahil broke the silence

S: so do you love him?

T: love? naahh! i dont know actually. i mean i like him...i really like him....but there is something missing in him. even when he talks to me...i feel like his...his mind is somewhere else. dont know where....sometimes i feel like he's thinking about her all the time

S: her?

T: i mean kripa...i dont know why but sometimes i feel that he is in love with her...dont you ever wonder that?

S: i dont know. i mean angad does love her...but its different...they are so....

T: not like other lovers right?

S: yea!! i mean...i dont really know how they feel about each other and it scares me that...(his lips stopped as he finished his sentence in his mind.)

There is another moment of silence

T: so you love her?

S: me? ...i dont know. whenever i'm with her, i want to be close to her. when im not with her...i want to think of her all the time....if my desire to spend time with her is love then.......

T: you are in love

S(smiled): perhaps i am....but what about her? i mean i dont understand her sometimes. she is always friendly but....is that it? only friendship? i want to know how she feels but....maybe i dont want to accept the fact that she mite not be in love with me........

They sat in the cafe with no one around. Tanya placed her hand on his.

T: sahil...are you ever going to ask her?

S: maybe...but its not that easy. i dont want to lose her but..i need her. She makes me...makes me feel so special sometimes. i mean after anjali died i was never able to look at someone like that. i just.....

T: anjali?

S:(smiled as he thought of her): anjali was my best friend....we knew each other since we were 5. We spent 11 years together...as best friends...but one day, i realized that i loved her. i mean we were just 16 but i knew at that time that she was the one for me....i rushed to tell her how i felt but it was too late. A car had run over her right before i could meet her. i saw her die with my own eyes..in my very arms....after she left me...i never thought i would be able to fall in love but i did. i fell in love with kripa....and now the thought of losing her scares me....scares me to death.

T: Sahil...if you want her, you have to tell her.

S: i know. but its hard...really hard. im scared that my fears would take over me...that i would lose her just like i lost Anjali....i dont know what to do

T(puts her arm around his shoulder): you know what Sahil. you need to grow up now. This is life....nothing goes as you want it to be.. but then its in your hands to try. and i want you to try....try to make her see why she would be lucky to have you....go Sahil, go tell her.....tell her that you love her.....tell her that you want to spend the rest of your life with her...just go Sahil...and good luck!

S: yes...i should..thanks Tanya

Sahil hugged Tanya and left to go to see Kripa. This time, he was going to tell her everything. He hurried to the room. When he got to the door, he took a deep breath and finally opened the door. He went inside and saw Kripa on the chair, right next to the computer. He stood behind her, too scared to face her.

S: kripa....i want to say something to you. I never thought that this would happen to me again but it did....and i dont feel guilty today to say that....Kripa Sharma, I am madly in love with you!

Sahil closed his eyes and waited for Kripa's reaction. He opened his eyes and saw that Kripa was still sitting on the chair. He goes to her and looks at her face. She was asleep already. He smiled a little and gently hit himself on the head. He picked up Kripa in his arms and put her on the bed. He put the blanket over her and then brushed the hair off her face. He was about to move away but Kripa quickly caught his arm. He smiled a little and looked her way...but she was still sleeping. He nodded his head and then sat next to her on the bed. He took her hands off his and tried to move again but this time, he heard her speak..

K:(in her sleep): please mujhe chod kar mat jao....mein tumhare bina kabhi nahi reh paungi...

Sahil felt his heart skip a beat. Did kripa really think about him like that? He really wished she did. He sat next to her and this time, he brushed her hair. She smiled in her sleep and slowly her head moved to his lap. He was a little surprised but he was still happy. He stared at her for a few seconds and smiled again. Soon he fell asleep right there but the vibration of his cell phone woke him up. Kripa was still sleeping on his lap and Sahil tried to move but he couldnt. He slowly lifted her head and put it to the side. Kripa didnt wake up. Sahil touched her face gently and got up to get his cell phone but then turned to look at Kripa when she said something.

K:(in her sleep): angad...angad i love you...please dont leave me...i wont be able to live without you angad...please...i really need you..........

Sahil was shocked to hear this. Did kripa really mean this? Sahil didnt know what to think. He slowly moved backwards and finally he sat on the chair right in front of kripa. There were tears in his eyes. He didnt want to beleive what she said...but somehow he did. He knew she meant it...why wouldnt she? Angad was her best friend and they had known each other for 12 years. Somewhere inside, Sahil wished this wasnt true...but he knew it was.

He sat there all night, staring at her...wondering if she really loved Angad...and no matter how many times he asked himself that question, he always heard a YES. He didnt want to hear that.He just closed his eyes and waited for it to be morning.

Kripa woke up and stretched. She opened her eyes and saw Sahil on the chair. She smiled a little. He looked so cute. She stepped on the cold floor and suddenly took her feet back. She slowly put her feet forward again and this time it wasnt that cold anymore. She pulled her body up and wrapped the sweater around it. It was always cold at this time in the year. Noticing that Sahil didnt have a blanket, she grabbed her own blanket and went over to him. She tried to make the least amount of noise. When she got near him, she kneeled down beside him and admired his good looks. There was no doubt that he was gorgeous...any girl would drool over his handsome looks and his frienly nature. He was basically the perfect guy for a girl...and at this moment, Kripa felt lucky to be with him. She took the blanket and put it over him. She smiled again and kissed his forehead this time. He moved and Kripa quickly got up and left. When she was gone, sahil opened his eyes and looked away confused. What did Kripa actually have in mind. Did she love Sahil or was this just part of her frindly personality? Sahil just wondered.....

It was time for the treking trip. Kripa took a shower and came outside but was a little surprised not to see Sahil there. She looked around to find him and finally she saw his shadow near the balcony. She made her way to the balcony and smiled as she saw him standing by the corner. She walked closer to him and tried to make no noise. She crept towards him and then finally wrapped her arms around his waist and whispered in his ear.

K: did you miss me too much?

Sahil didnt say anything. He was still a little shocked to say anything. Kripa, noticing how quiet he was, moved so that she was in front of him now. She took his face in her hands and made him face her. but still his eyes looked away and there was a sense of shock in them. She felt a little strange as she looked into his eyes. Then she looked into his eyes and they finally glanced at her.

K: are you okay?

All he did was nod his head. There was nothing else to do or say...he didnt find a need to.

K:are you still angry with me?

S: i never was.....

K: then why did you leave like that last night?

S: -----

K: sahil?

S: yea?

Kripa moved closer to him and kissed his cheek gently. He felt a tear drop out of his eye and he quickly moved his head so Kripa wouldnt see him. He was tall enough that she could see into his eyes anymore.

K: is there something you need to tell me Sahil?

S: yes there is...but its not important anymore.

K: but it is Sahil....you are important to me....i want you to know that

S: how important am i kripa? i need to know

Kripa looked away for a while and then moved closer to Sahil and gently kissed his lips. He was defintely shocked but he didnt move. The kiss was so heartwarming that tears started to flow from his eyes. Kripa was a little teary looking at him as well. But she continued to smile

K: do you want me to say more?

Sahil silently looked at her. There was a questioning expression on his face. Kripa continued to look at him with expectations in her eyes. She wanted him to say something, do something. But he didnt. He looked away for a while, like he was thinking. She looked away as well. She wanted this moment to be magical....but something stopped Sahil from responding. Kripa was a little disappointed but she couldnt do anything. Suddenly she felt Sahil's hands grab her face. She looked up at him curiously.

S: why are you doing this Kripa?

K: because..because I have feelings for you Sahil...you make me...you make me want to be myself...you make me want to love myself.

S: and how do I make you feel about me?

K(smiles): you are a great guy Sahil...you make me...i dont know. i just want to get to know you. i want to spend some time with you..i just...i want you to want the same...do you feel the same Sahil?

S: i do kripa...i really do. i really l......

K: sshhh...if you feel the same way I do..then i want to enjoy this moment with you...right here, right now...just you and me...i want to live this moment.

Sahil wrapped his arms around Kripa and they both looked at the Sun as it continued to rise. This moment was truly magical. It made Kripa forget everything....everything but perhaps Angad still remained in the back of her mind somewhere...somewhere that she didnt notice him.

ok guys please dont curse me out. and give Sahil a chance...he's a good guy. and dont worry this IS about A-K. but they wont realize something special between them until later....please leave comments.
