Pyar ka Dard Hai
Part -6
Arnav and Khushi were talking and entering the gupta mansion. Both were silent after the casual flirting by Arnav. As soon as they entered the lobby, Khushi saw Payal sitting in hall and reading some random magazine. Her eyes lit up as a brilliant idea occurred her.
Arnav and she were walking with some space between them; Khushi purposefully twisted her heels and fell towards Arnav. As on cue, Arnav quickly steadied her by firmly holding her shoulders. Khushi looked up and saw his brown caramel eyes. And for that moment she could feel love in those orbs. She didn't know for how long she stared and saw the depth of those eyes.
Arnav was in a dilemma of his own. Khushi was silent during the whole way from Ghats to home. He thought she might have not liked the way he talked to her. He should have kept his tongue in check before speaking something. But Khushi was smiling when he was flirting' and just then he saw Khushi falling. He held her from her shoulders to stop her from falling. And then he saw those beautiful almond shaped hazel eyes. Something sparkling, something different yet the same. He was lost in her eyes.
They must have been staring at each other for years and Jay brought them out of their trance.
"Khushi are you fine? I mean I saw you falling.."
"Yeah I am actually Arnav helped me. Jay I am going to your room for some rest.."
"thanks Arnav bhai." Jay sincerely thanked Arnav.
But before she could step, she fell down. Actually her feet had actually twisted and she was having trouble standing let alone walking.
Arnav and jay rushed to her. " Khushi are you fine?" asked a deeply concerned Arnav.
"yeah I think." She managed to stand but she knew it would be difficult to climb up those long stairs.
Arnav followed her gaze and understood she wanted to go to jay's room. He swiftly carried her in his robust arms and began climbing the stairs. Her hands automatically got wounded round his neck. To say she was surprised was an understatement. But from the back she saw Payal already fuming' and then this pain felt like some sweet to Khushi. She secretly winked at Payal'..

Making others jealous and getting jealous are two different feelings related to same emotion that is jealousy. Well Payal was feeling the same. The tables had turned. Earlier she was the party who enjoyed the game; making Khushi jealous but today or rather nowadays she was at the receiving end. Khushi was spending more time or one should say every minute with Arnav that was not so pleasing for her. She had seen Khushi with Arnav at the Ghats. In fact she had known that Khushi had purposefully twisted her ankle. But what could she do?
Arnav and Khushi were comfortable around each other and Payal couldn't digest the fact that Arnav was really fond of Khushi. She was only tolerating Khushi because her father was going to talk to Arnav's bauji for her marriage proposal. But that was not happening soon.
She decided to get some fresh air and went to the terrace but then regretted her decision. She saw Khushi and Arnav on Arnav's terrace. Khushi was sitting on the white swing on the Raizada terrace and Arnav was leaning onto the swing with his arms crossed and they were engrossed in their own world and Payal felt that Khushi was blushing. She couldn't hear the conversation but the mere sight made her blood boil. Stomping her foot she went back to her room.
Arnav was fascinated by Khushi. She was beautiful and intelligent. Her sense of business was appreciable. Arnav too was keen in real estate business. But he didn't want to enter into business field. But Khushi who was much younger was making her name heard. He had read many articles about her and his dad praised her endlessly.
"You know Khushi; you'll one day make Shashi uncle proud. The ideas are great for the housing scheme. Getting raw materials from small towns will be really cost effective. And I can really help you in it."
"Really? But how?"
"See there is no taking without giving."
"Huh?? What do you want in order to help me?"
"We are quite clear. Aren't we?"
"Shoot Arnav."
"Actually Aman and his father have marble factory. Best quality marble at low rates."
"That is great Arnav; I'll talk to Aman tomorrow itself."
"And what about me?"
"What about you?"
Arnav squinted his eyes'. "Oh yes I remember'. What do you want Arnav Singh Raizada?"
Arnav was at loss of words after hearing his full name from her mouth. He somehow felt his name was special. Khushi on the other side blushed slightly after realizing he was staring at her and was lost.
"Arnav'."
He came out to the real world'.
"Err Khushi I'll tell you some other day."
"Alright. So Mr. Guide where are you taking me tomorrow?"
"Well let's say it is a surprise'.." She made a frustrated face and he winked at her and went to his room.
Meanwhile Khushi too walked into the room and read the message sent to her by her brother, Jay.
"Step 1 successful. Payal is all green."
Khushi deleted the message and slept peacefully because she knew what she had to do.
Next day Khushi woke up at 7 and went to her Arvind uncle's room.
"good morning uncle." Khushi hugged him and he too fondly messed her already messed up hair.
"Good morning Khushi."
"Uncle where is Arnav?"
"Khushi beta his morning time is devoted to lord Shiva. He must be coming."
"Such a priest he is."
"Who said that? I am only a devotee." Retorted Arnav. He was standing on the gate when he heard her asking about his whereabouts from his father.
"Arey baba why are you so defensive lard governor. I meant that only. Arvind uncle I am hungry let's go down for breakfast."
"Bauji I came here for that only. Hari prakash did not come this morning, so you are going to make the breakfast or shall I make?"
"Arnav of course you'll make'." ordered Arvind.
"No bauji last time also I made. It's your turn." Replied Arnav.
"See Khushi beta, what zamana has come, the son orders his old father to cook. It's a limit'"
"Bauji don't start with this emotional drama of yours. Khushi is a practical girl'. She'll not listen to you. Let's be fair. It's your turn."
Arvind looked pleadingly at Khushi'.."Haaww Arnav that is so unfair of you. Your dad is such an awesome person. How can you order him around? Can't you just make breakfast for 3 of us? I am sure you cook that well or you are just afraid to show your culinary skills."
Enough was enough for Arnav. His bauji and Khushi had teamed up against him and dare she challenge his culinary skills.
"Madam Gupta, I am the best chef in whole of Haridwar."
"I am sure you are but just prove it."
Arnav angrily moved to the kitchen and Arvind hugged her.
"That was not fair uncle'"
"chalta hai bache"
After exactly 20 minutes, Arnav called out for his bauji and Khushi for breakfast. Khushi was quite elated to see aaloo paranthas with curd on the table. She sat hastily, tore the paranthaa, dipped in curd and ate it.
"Arnav they are awesome. ummm "
He smirked triumphantly.
"Arnav beta you are such a good cook'."
Khushi quickly finished her aaloo paranthas and sighed in relish.
"you know Arvind uncle, when I talk about marriage with my dad. I just have one demand."
"what is that beta?"
"that my husband should cook and earn well."
Khushi stated simply and Arnav had the world's most beautiful smile on his lips. His dad did notice but chose to stay mum.
"Khushi this reminds that I have to meet your dad."
Arnav looked at her and Khushi turned pink.
"I need to get ready' see you after some time." Khushi left the table and went to her room.
Arnav played and replayed Khushi's statement.
"my husband should cook and earn well." And once again that beautiful smile adorned his lips.
