Part 3

As the soft rays of the sun filtered through the window, Khushi tried to

stretch her arms but realized that something was holding her in place. She

tried to open her eyes which seemed to have been glued. With much

difficulty she managed to open her eyes and what she saw was something

she had not expected to see in this lifetime; Arnav Singh Raizada was

cuddling up to her holding her like a teddy bear in a child like way. His

arms were fastened around her waist his face buried in her neck, she

could feel his slow breath on her neck indicating that he was still asleep.

For a few minutes she couldn't fathom was this the same ruthless

husband of hers who had tried his best to make life miserable for her or

was he the one whom she had fallen in love with!! She kept gazing at him

and started to run her hands through his hair, something she had always

wanted to do. The moment he stirred she pulled her hand back

immediately and tried to wriggle out of his grasp.

Arnav had slept soundly for the first time in years. He had felt someone

running their hand through his hair and it sent a pleasurable tingle down

his spine knowing that all love was not lost between them. He breathed in

the scent of her; jasmine and orangey kind of smell something uniquely

Khushi. Man how could he have missed sleeping like this all these days!

He was an idiot, if only he had not assumed the worst possible conclusion

about her they wouldn't have been in this predicament in the first place,

she wouldn't be trying to go away from him. But no worries he is going to

set things right. He'll fulfill all her dreams, they will have a dream

wedding just like she wanted, heck he would even wear a sherwani for her

if it makes her happy!

As soon as he felt her wriggling he tightened his hold around her, no baby

not so fast! He shifted in such a way that now she was under him. He

could feel every inch of her pressing into him and was acutely aware of

the growing tension in his body. He watched her trying to free herself. She

was a tigress he had to give her that, she would fight back till her last

breath!

"Good morning sunshine!!" saying so he swooped down to kiss her cheek

and then leaped up the bed and escaped to the washroom with a big

Cheshire cat grin on his face! He turned to see her face and just like he

had assumed she was shell-shocked!!

What the hell just happened now!! Arnavji kissed me!! She thought with

a hand on her cheek. Did he hit his head somewhere, or might have fallen

down the bed while asleep during the night! Yes that can be possible, there

is no sane reason as to why he could have done that!

(Khushi does not know that Arnav loves her. She thinks that Arnav used

to hate her because of the misunderstanding and now she thinks its just

guilt which plagues his mind that is why he wanted her to stay, you see

Arnav hasn't confessed till now and she thinks he told I love you to her

phone because he wanted to give her a hint that he was in trouble that's all.

I know kinda far-fetched but that's KKGSR)

After Arnav came out Khushi freshened up and went to say a final

goodbye to NK. Meanwhile Arnav packed all his necessary stuff and hid

it under the bed lest Khushi should find out.

"Nanheji Iam going!"

"Going? Going where Khushiji, everything is now solved between you and

Nannav why do you have to go? Is he still hell-bent on the terms of

contract? I'll go and talk to him he can't do that to you!" NK responded

just like a loyal friend that he was. Even though he had a crush on

Khushi it is nothing compared to what Khushi feels for Arnav, he had

seen that. So what if he can't have her, he is going to stand by her through

thick and thin cuz that's what friends do. Maybe there is someone out there

for him, maybe one day he'll fall in love and experience that true love

kind of thing. But for now he is happy. Everything is all good, Nannav is

saved, Shyam is in jail, misunderstandings are cleared, Khushiji can live

a happy life so why is she leaving it behind? He voiced out his doubts to

her.

"Nanheji what Arnavji feels for me is just guilt and a relationship can't

be based on guilt cuz when the guilt is washed away we won't have

anything left."

"How do you know he doesn't love you?"

"Because he didn't trust me when I told him the truth and left me alone

when I needed him the most. Arnavji needs to fight his own inner demons

before he can trust anyone. He has to free his heart from the shackles he

has placed around it. He can't love completely unless he does that. And I

don't think Iam going to be there when he does that. This time I want to

give my life a chance. I need time to heal and staying here will prevent it

that's why I need to go. I hope you understand."She replied wistfully.

"Ok then Iam going to come with you. I can't let you go alone."

Exclaimed NK.

"Oh no please don't do that. I can't separate you from your family for

my sake. As much as I love your company, if you come with me someday

some Raizada is going to come searching for you and in turn find me and

will try to drag me back to the mansion. I think I can deal with it alone.

Trust me I can manage pretty well on my own. Thank you for being there

for me!" Khushi was walking out of the door when NK's voice stopped

her.

"Take care and one more thing"

Khushi raised her eyebrows in question

"Can we discard the "ji" from our names? Since we are now such close

friends I thought….." he trailed off.

Khushi looked at him and smiled "Ok NK take care and keep in touch."

"You too Khushi" NK smiled back.

Khushi realized that no matter what NK is always going to stand by her

side and that thought itself lifted up her spirits. She hoped he finds his

love in life.

Khushi entered the room to see Arnav on the laptop. This Laad Governer

is till stuck with his laptop. Can't he give that thing a break and at least

come to see me off!! She huffed muttering to herself.

Arnav was just wrapping up his work.

"Ahem ahem…Iam leaving now so goodbye."

"Ok goodbye, take care I have asked the driver to drop you to wherever

you want to go. Keep in touch." He replied not looking up from his

laptop.

She felt anger bubbling inside her at his indifference. Doesn't he have the

courtesy to atleast see her off and not dismiss her like a servant. She had

it enough with him. Good thing she was leaving!! He can spend the

remaining of his life kissing that laptop of his!!

Meanwhile Arnav was having a hard time trying to act nonchalant. He

wanted to scoop her up in his arms and kiss her senseless. Her anger was

endearing……Oh how he loved riling her up!

Khushi took her stuff and exited Shantivan. She first instructed the driver

to Lakshmi nagar where she met her family and bade them goodbye. (they

don't know the real situation, they just think she dropped by just to say

hi!)

Then she asked the driver to drop her to the railway station completely

missing a white SUV following right behind. She called up an old friend

and explained that she needed accommodation immediately, which was

taken care of. She got off at the railway station, got a ticket and got into

the train bidding her final goodbye to Delhi.

In the seat just behind her Arnav Singh Raizada sat uncomfortably

decked up in his 3-piece suit!
