Brij looked at her sceptically. Tareef kar rahi hai ke izzat utar rahi hai. He asked while driving.

The car halted outside the giant Handa Haweli.

Children ran to her like dogs behind bone. She didn't even remember all their names, some faces were totally new.
Behind came her mom n cupped her cheek. Meri puttar aa gaya. Hayee kitni patli ho gayi hai meri bacchi.

They went inside and the whole haveli was bustling with relative.

Lagta hai pura punjab yahan aa gaya hai. She thought amazed.
Everyone pounced on her. Some complaining, some asking for gifts, etc etc.
Geet excused herself to freshen up. Meera her cousin followed her. When Geet came out of the washroom she found Meera sitting on her bed.
Kya baat hai badi khush lag rahi hai. Meera asked eyeing her suspiciously. Geet thumbed on bed beside her.
Haan yaar so toh hai.
She suddenly sat up. Pata hai mujhe kya lagta hai.
Kya lagta hai?
Meera asked all excited.
Mujhe lagta hai ki mera Mr. Right toh India me hi hai as I didn't found him in London. And now a days I have a strong feeling that I m going to find him real soon.
Geet said with a twinkle in her eyes.

Meera dramatically tapped her index finger on forehead. 5 yrs ago while leaving for London you said the same lines ke tujhe feeling ho rahi hai and blah...blah... par kuch hua nahi na...toh bas, step out of your dreamland. It's been 5 years you didn't changed a bit.
Meera tried knocking some brains in her cousin. She was fed up of Geet's day dreaming but for Geet it was not just some dream but her very reality. She had always lived her life in wait of the one who would be completely n only hers.
Call her mad or childish she gave a damn. This is what she was n had no complaints from herself. She had long ago surrendered herself to her soul mate, so what if she never saw him or met him. We have never seen god but believe in him with all our problems n aspirations similarly she believed in 'him' with every ounce of life in her, with all her love.

The man kept on blabbering but his words were like buzz of bees to him, irritating n meaningless. Others present there also started speaking rather shouting n it felt that if he stayed for a second more he would become deaf.
Then stop the work.
He said frustrated in response to the only sentence he had heard. Everyone looked at him as if never seen a man before but Maan didn't cared, he simply walked out of the conference room putting an end to the so called meeting.
He knew everyone inside was puzzled, probably doubting his abilities but it didn't bother him a bit. It was the truth that he was useless. His family and Sam left him and he won't mind if these people left him too.

The whole day went in meeting relatives and at night Geet sat in her room while Rano applied oil in her hairs.
Maa.. Geet cooed softly.

Rano replied.

Geet said n instantly kept her palm on ears knowing well her mom was going to blast any moment, n she didn't disappointed her either.

Easy maa. Last time I went there to drop Pinky with Manchanda uncle and tab maine majaar pe jaake ibadat ki thi ke daarji mere London jane ki baat maan jaye and that I make you all proud. And see I topped my batch. It was 1st time an Indian topped the batch
. Geet continued when she saw a slight glint of approval on her mother's face. And it's my duty to go there and thank god for granting my wish.
