It was a Friday night and Zee, a nineteen-year-old girl, was asked by her father to be present in the business party he was throwing that night, as many respectable people will be there. Zee knew these parties were boring, and told her father if her two close friends, Lyla and Sadiie could come to the party as well only then would she attend. He reluctantly agreed and here they all were at Zee's place getting ready.
Lyla: I don't understand why you are dragging us into this boring business party.
Zee: Get used to it darling. You are studying business anyways. It's good to get some experience.
Sadiie: Why me! I hate Business. There will be a bunch of old people talking in a language that is supposedly called English.
" Don't worry we won't go around such people. Anyways you are my friends, which means you're supposed to be there for me when I need you. So suck it up", Zee says sticking her tongue at them.
" so zaalim! Yet I am her friend! I think I need to get my brain checked", Sadiie teases back.
" If you want I will make an appointment for you right now" she retorts trying to hold back her laughter.
Lyla: Here they go again. Both of you shut up and get ready so we get this boring party over with.
Zee: You are with me. What can go wrong? I will turn it fun.
Lyla: That's exactly what I am worried about.
" Stop overreacting. It will be fun. I promise", she says with a mischievous grin.

They arrive at the party and Zee had to disappear meeting a few individuals that her father wanted to introduce to her.
Sadiie: Yeh lo. She invites us to keep her company and she herself disappears.
Lyla: It's so awkward we don't even know anybody here. I am so going to kill her when this party is over.
"Awhhh I love you guys too" they hear Zee say from behind them.
They both turn around to say something back, when all of a sudden their breathes get stuck inside their throats.
Zee: I would like to introduce you to two handsome hunks, not to mention eligible bachelors. One is from the business industry and the other is a charming Prince. They have come from India, so be nice.
Lyla and Sadiie were still mum and shocked with who was in front of them.
"Hello, I am Maan Singh Khurana. Naam to sunahi hoga. It's nice to meet you" he sticks out his hand toward Sadiie.
"Hi. I am Sadia, but I go by Sadiie. And the pleasure is all mine Mr.Khurana" she says a little hesitantly shaking his hand, which felt electrifying.
" Call me Maan" he says and Sadiie weakly smiles at him.
"I'm Udhayveer Singh, the charming Prince. It's nice to finally meet you. I have heard a lot about you from Zee" he says with a smile that was to die for as he stuck out his hand toward Lyla.
"Hi, I am Lyla and I am flattered. Zee tends to exaggerate", she says also hesitantly as she shook his hand.
" Oh I think my Dad's calling me. I will talk to you guys later" she says with an innocent smile which was a mask behind the mischievous smile that could only be seen by her two friends.

Later that night, Lyla and Sadiie were actually enjoying their time and giggling away with their dream guys.
That's when the lights dimmed and music started to play.
Udhay clears his voice and asks, " Would you like to dance?"
Lyla sweetly accepts and joins him to the dance floor.
Sadiie felt a little awkward wondering if Maan was going to ask her to dance.
" I don't dance", she says sheepishly.
" Well then I guess I will just have to make you" he says with a crooked smile that made her heart skip a beat.
She giggles and also joins him to the dance floor.
They spin and twirled in their arms, their emotions racing inside them. As it was a race of breathes, a race of longing. With the way their bodies touched and moved in sync it sent all their hearts racing.
The music turned slow and their eyes met it felt intoxicating as their gaze bore through their soul.
The dance comes to an end with the end of the song. However, all of a sudden they were in a balcony and the gap between their lips was maddening. The guys' hands slowly snaked around their waist, and in a swift pull their bodies crashed into their dream guy's chest. Their heartbeat was fluttering. Their lips so close that their breathes were mingling and diffusing into one. The restlessness growing all the more, becoming refutably unbearable.
"Maan", Sadiie moans closing her eyes in anticipation.
"Udhayveer", Lyla moans closing her eyes waiting for the distance to diminish.
There lips lightly touched when BANG! And then many flashes of light followed after.
Zee burst into a fit of laughter.
"If you guys are done hugging each other then get up!" she says still not being able to stop laughing and still clicking pictures.
" You guys almost kissed each other moaning Maan and Udhayveer" Zee says mimicking the way they moaned.
"I even got a picture of that. Oh this is just Epic" she said holding her stomach from laughing so much.
" Shut up yaar. . .sach mein kya dream tha'.ufff!!!!" Sadiie says getting up from the ground and holding her head where she banged against the floor.
Zee: Trust me I was enjoying every bit of it !
"So tell me everything! Did you guys get down to some hot business? I don't need to ask I saw it played out for myself" she continued to tease.
"Shut up", Lyla gets up throwing a pillow at Zee, while she just continued to laugh at their poor states.
Lyla: Too goo to be true true. I mean you were the matchmaker Zee! I should of known I was dreaming.
Zee: heyyy! You don't think I could be a matchmaker? I bet I would be an awesome matchmaker haan!
"oh really",Sadiie says raising one eyebrow.
Zee: haan, koi shack?
Lyla: ummm just a little.
" you know your right. I probably would just steal your man", zee shamelessly winks.
Sadiie: uff to khabi nahi sudhar jaogi!
Zee: Chillax girlz! There is nothing to worry about. You guys are so lucky I already have one complicated love story running.
"I don't even have a heart to give anyone, it was stolen from me and you guys think I have it in me to steal your man. Dost dost na raha", Zee says with a sad face sulking like a little kid acting over dramatic then necessary.
Both lyla and Sadiie shake their heads as she turns into a drama queen. She was crazy, yet they loved her.
Lyla: okay baba sorry.
Zee just turns around feigning anger now.
Sadiie: come on yaar. We were just kidding.
"Just tell me who he is and I will come back with your heart I assure you", Sadiie says with a deadly glare.
Zee: Forget about him guys. So your saying you won't get mad if I do play matchmaker?
Lyla: No we won't get mad. Now cheer up and smile.
Zee: Sachi?
Sadiie: muchi!
Zee gives them a bone-crushing hug as she says, " I love you guys".
Lyla:ow Ouch!!
Sadiie: Zee!!! Let go!
Zee innocently let's go.
Lyla: Okay its getting late I am going back to sleep.
Sadiie yawns and says, " same here ".
Zee: why are you both in such a hurry? Aapki Udhayveer or Maan ki paas jhaane hai kya? Hmmm to start where you left off" she says puckering her lips and making a kissy face.
"Shut up Zee" Both screamed at her!
"Okay okay me shutting up" she muttered, both missing the sly smirk that was on Zee's face.

It was a Friday night, two weeks after lyla and sadiie slept over at Zee's place. She takes out her phone and texts Lyla and Sadiie.
She gets inside her car and speeds away thinking, " Ab maaza ayega" with a grin she couldn't wipe off her face.
She knocks on the door, yet nobody was opening the door. She knocks again and again, still no response.
" Oye Kaminis! Come open the damn door", Zee screams at her phone.
"Kya yaar! It was such a good part of the movie and you made me miss it!", Lyla whines as she opens the door.
"MOVIE", Zee says irritated slapping her forehead with her palm.
"We are supposed to be going out tonight to eat!" she says in an exasperated tone.
That's when Zee's eyes fall on Sadiie in her pajamas, who was busy munching on some popcorn while her eyes were glued onto the TV screen.
Zee turns her head to the ceiling, " Babaji! How did these two end up being my best friends!" she cutely whined.
Lyla came and whispered close to her, " Come on. We aren't that bad Zaalim Zee" she says chuckleing her way back to the sofa.
Zee was real angry now. She goes to the kitchen and gets a jug of water and heads over towards the TV.
"Get ready in 15 minutes otherwise don't blame if the water accidently spills from my hands!" Zee said glaring at both of them.
Both lyla and Sadiie jumped off the Sofa.
Sadiie: DON'T ZEE. I just got this new flat screen TV. And it's a shahid kapoor movie yaar. He is so cute and hot. Please let me watch yaar. We can go out some other day.
Zee tilts the jug of water a little more and Sadiie's eyes almost popped out of her sockets.
" UGHHH YOU ZAALIM KAMINI!! I am going to get ready. Don't you dare spill anything on my TV!" she screamed running upstairs to change.
Lyla starts laughing, " You are such a zaalim"
"Tell me something I don't know", she says as she winks putting the jug of water back in the kitchen.
Her eyes fall on the DVD cover of the movie they were watching as she comes back to the living room.
"Kismat Connection", Zee mumbles to herself as she read the title of the Dvd cover.
" It's funny you both dislike the word "love". Yet you watch romantic movies. I smell something fishy don't u think?" she says with a smirk.
Lyla: shut up Zee. Get me someone like Prince Udhayveer and I will happily give up my life for him.
Zee: Fine. You both remain single for the rest of your lives because those men are reel characters and such perfect men don't exist.
" That's fine with me", Sadiie says as she comes downs down the stairs.
Zee just shakes her head toward her hopeless friends.
Zee: So tell me you believe in Kismat? I mean since you guys were watching Kismat Konnection.
Lyla: Yeah I think I do.
Sadiie looked at Zee suspiciously and then said, " maybe if I kept on running to a guy at random places then yes I would believe in fate. Hmmm Zee don't you always randomly bump into your Woh" she says with a naughty smirk then bursts out laughing with lyla.
Zee: Shut up both of you. Get on the good side of Fate; otherwise it will get revenge by playing with your heart.
Lyla: Alright let's go because I am hungry.
Zee: I know me too but some one decided to not to be ready like I told them to be.
Sadiie: oye to chup kar! You two are always hungry! Let's go before you eat me.
Lyla: I call dibs for sitting in the front.
Sadiie: No lyla! I want to sit in the front!
Lyla: Respect your elders missy. I am sitting in the front.
Zee: uffo guys stop arguing. Lyla you sit in the front as we go to the restaurant and Sadiie you sit in the front while we come back home.
Sadiie gives a winning grin to Lyla, while Lyla just rolls her eyes.
They all sit in the car and before Zee could drive away she felt a poke on her shoulder.
Zee turns her head around and see's it was Sadiie.
Zee: yeah sadiie?
Sadiie: can I request something?
Zee: sure what is it?
Sadiie: Don't kill us.
Lyla and Zee both started bursting out in a fit of laughter.
Lyla: You are sitting in a Mercedes sports car and you knew Zee was driving. Didn't you know better before stepping inside the car?
Sadiie: I could still hope couldn't I?
Zee puts the windows of the car down as well as the sunroof.
"Hold on tight guys" Zee says before revving on the accelerator.

"WOOoh", Zee screams with the rush of the speed and the wind blowing against her face.
Lyla: Come yaar. Is that all you got. Go faster.
Sadiie: NAHII!! I am too young to die! Slow down!
Just then turns on the radio and blasts the music hitting the boost option making it real hard to hear anybody talk.
" What? Sadiie speak up. I can't hear you" Zee says trying to hold in her laughter.
All of a sudden the traffic light turns red and Zee presses hard on the brakes stopping just centimeters away before bumping into the car in front.
" Margayiii! This stupid khatara car!" Sadiie screams!
Zee just chuckles loving how Sadiie called such a car that people would kill for a "khatara".
Lyla: Okay I take it back. Take it easy Zee. Your parents will kill you if you wreck your new car.
Zee: Come on. Live a little girls.
Suddenly Zee heard her phone vibrate. She takes a quick look making sure Lyla and Sadiie don't notice.
" Everything is going as planned" she thought to herself.
Another song starts to play.
I threw a wish in the well,

Just then a jeep comes to a stop on the traffic light right next to their car.
Two guys in the back seat had their windows down and looked at them.
I looked to you as it fell,
and now you're in my way
Both Lyla and Sadiie figit a little noticing their eyes were on them.
I trade my soul for a wish,
pennies and dimes for a kiss
They both tried to put the window up, but Zee had already clicked on the lock button.
I wasn't looking for this,
but now you're in my way
Lyla: Zee put the window up!
Zee turns innocently to them hitting the wrong button on purpose, " I am its not working for some reason!
" ughh stupid khatara car!" sadiie slapped the damn button in frustration, but she cool feel his blue eyes burrowing through her as he flicked his blond hair to the side so he could get a better view of her.

Where you think you're going, baby?
"Disgusting dog. Why doesn't the damn light turn green already", Lyla says under her breath.
Zee rolls her eyes and whispers, " The words you are looking for is HOT and Yummy" before she yells out HEY!
The boys attention goes to her and then she starts to lip-sync with the song.

and this is crazy,
but here's my number,
so call me, maybe?
She ends it by blowing at kiss to them. Lyla and Saddie's eyes popped out of shock! Lyla quickly turns the radio off!
"By the way that was from these two not me", Zee says with a naughty smirk.
Sadiie: Sorry guys we are not interested, but by all means you can hit on our crazy friend!
Zee laughs. It was a different kind of laugh, so full of life. She didn't even know why, but for the first time in a long time her heart felt so free, like someone was opening the lock on the shackles she had around her heart. Hearing the laugh the guy in the driver seat starts to put his window down, but all Zee saw were his eyes before the light turned green and he sped away.Zee smirks and hits on the accelerator, the car roaring to life!
" Hold on tight girls. Let's RACE!
Sadiie: OMG ZEE! STOP!
Lyla: This is taking it too far Zee! You are not gonna damn RACE!
Zee whispers, " Its not just a race, but race saanson ki. Try slowing down your heartbeat first Lyla then we will talk about me slowing down" she says going faster.
Before they could protest any further Zee hits a button which Bluetooth's her Iphone to the car and blasts the perfect song for the situation in which Lyla unfortunately couldn't turn off as she didn't have Zee's phone.

Zee sped up chasing them as she smiled and enjoyed the thrill. So did he, smirking and driver faster past them.

" Zee please slow down. Okay I admit the American guy is hot, but please don't kill us", Sadiie screamed near her ear so she could hear through the loud music.
Zee giggled shaking her head, but he just smirked and overtook her not being able to explain the exhilaration and race with in.

"Damn" ?she mutters and presses on the accelerator even harder and now both vehicles were in par.
It was now or never! It was now him or her!

Sadiie and Lyla looked over to the other car and saw the smirks on their faces, which not only had the potential to melt their parts, but also enraged them as now they were also into the race and didn't want to lose.

Sadiie: Hit sport mode Zee!
" WATCH OUT", Lyla screams seeing their car coming toward them.
Zee quickly swerved the car almost hitting another car, but then quickly presses on sports mode and swifts passed every car in seconds! She goes to their lane and suddenly presses on the brakes!!! The car screeched hurting everybody's ears while sparks started flying out of the wheels.
" OHH Shitt" the guy says as he pulls the handle break and the car comes to a stop mere inches away from Zee's car.
Zee was fuming with anger! He was about to get them all killed, which was not part of the plan!
" James you bas***d! You almost got us killed", she yells coming out of the car.
"Everything is fair in love and . . ." the guy in the driver seat comes out and says but then suddenly stops not being able to finish his phrase.
Zee was about to say something back, but suddenly was at a loss of words as she gasps in shock. Lyla and Sadiie come out trying to calm Zee down before it turned ugly, yet when they come out she was awfully quiet? That was different. Suddenly what Zee said raises questions in their minds.
Lyla: James? Whose James?
Sadiie: You know this guy? What the hell is going on?
Zee still stood frozen as her world felt like it was spinning.
The other guys come out.
" I am so sorry. He lost control for a second. But damn was that fun", the guy named Udhay states.
Lyla: Fun we almost got killed!
Udhay: Hi I am udhay. I apologize for almost killing you, but then again I wouldn't get the chance to meet you now would I? I don't know about you, but I don't see this totally as a bad thing.
Lyla was a little flattered as well as taken aback as this hot guy's name was udhay.
" Charming us won't work", Sadiie spoke in her British accent as she rolled her eyes.
"I'm afraid we should be worried about you charming us with your British accent. I also apologize for almost killing you as well. I am Jason by the way, but Udhay nicknamed me Maan, saying that suit my personality more, but you can call me whatever you want", he says giving a sexy smirk to Sadiie that had the potential to kill.
It was Saddie's turn to get a shocker. She gets floored by American guys to begin with, but this dude was also smoking hot and even was called MAAN! Bonus!
Just then Zee gets a phone call. She breaks away from the shock and brings the phone to her ear.
" Yo Zee where are you? I texted you that I was about to stop right next to your car, but by the time I reached their you sped away as if you were in some kind of race.
The phone slips from Zee's fingers so these were not James friends that she was trying to set up with Lyla and Sadiie.
How could this happen? She had everything planned out. Everything was under her control. Yet it slipped from her very own fingers. Was fate her enemy or her friend because she couldn't tell anymore? Here she was standing in front of the very person who stole her heart many years ago. She helped hit on his two friends, whose names are exactly the same as both Lyla and Sadiie's dream guys! How more twisted could this night get?
" Zee is everything okay?", Sadiie says putting her hand on her shoulder.
Zee jolts a little with her touch, "huh . . .yeah I'm . . . I'm okay" she says hesitantly as she bends down to pick up her cell phone, her hand shaking in the process.
She had many of these counters at random places with him, only gave her memories which later on only provided more fuel to burn her heart.
Lyla: Zee what's wrong? Are you hurt?
" Let's go" she says in a low voice.
" We are done here. LET'S Go" she says raising her voice a little higher trying to escape like always.
Sadiie: Where? What the hell is going on Zee?
Lyla: Who was on the phone and why are you acting so weird like you have seen a ghost?
" FINE! You stay with your Udhayveer and Maan singh Khurana! I'm leaving", she says in a stern voice and masked face holding back her true emotions.
Udhay: I liked you in your naughty mood better.
Zee sent him a glare that shut him up, not only Zee but others too.
" What?" Udhay says confused at the way everyone was glaring at him as if he committed a grave sin.
Zee hated how he affected her. He was the only one who could make her so weak. He was both the reason of her smile and tears. She also hated herself because she could never face him. In her eyes it was already too late, yet she still held on to him.
She turns around to leave when he says, "I'm sorry for almost killing you Zeynab. I believe I also an apology since I was the main culprit" making Zee freeze in her own tracks.
" How do you know her full name Mr. Stranger?", Sadiie says raising one eyebrow.
He chuckles a little as he mumbles "Stranger". Is that what he was now, a stranger?
Lyla: I think its Mr. Stalker! Why don't you nicely spill how exactly you know her name?
"Defensive friends you got their Zeynab. Why don't you pretty girls take a look at her license plate?" he refutes nonchalantly.
Her name was displayed as her license plate and both Lyla and Sadiie felt a little awkward calling him names.
Lyla: oh umm Sorry about that.
Sadiie: yeah umm sorry Mr. . .
"Mr. Stranger. I am completely fine with that name Stranger", he winks.
Zee couldn't help but chuckle a little seeing how he hasn't changed a bit.
He looks over to Zee and says, " I am still waiting for you to attack me. With the way you walked out screaming out of your sexy car thinking I am some bas***d called James made me realize that you . . ." before suddenly stopping.
" That you are sexy feisty chick", Udhay says finish what he left with a smirk, but instead was looking at Lyla.
Lyla's heart did skip a beat. That was the same smirk her dream guy gave. How could this be real?
" Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy,but here's my number, so call me, maybe?", says Maan as he writes his number on Sadiie's hand.
Ego and attitude huh", Sadiie says with a smirk.
"mmm maybe just a little" he says with a crooked smile that made Sadiie's stomach do somersaults.
Zee looked at her friends seeing a different spark in their eyes. This is just a beginning of a long journey for them. She felt real happy for them.
" Trust me you won't need each other's phone numbers, when Fate is pulling each and every card", Zee says with a weak smile.
Nobody really understanding what she meant or so that's what she thought.
" So does that mean there will be a happy ending?" says Mr. Stranger before out of the blue it starts to rain.
Was the sky crying tears of happiness or sadness? Nobody moved an inch everybody wondering if his or her story would have a happy ending. Zee was going to say something, but instead she stops herself and goes inside her car.
She drives the car near them and says, " Get inside girls" in a tone that meant she was in no mood to argue.
Lyla and Sadiie sit in the car and she is about to hit the accelerator when she hears him say, " I am waiting. All three of us are"
"Why don't you tell us the answer when we meet again. Oh and we don't forgive twice so make sure in the next race you don't try to kill us" She smirks while the girls giggle before speeding away.

" Pizza's here" Zee says closing the door and bringing it in the living room.
Sadiie: Gosh that smells so good.
Lyla: tell me about it.
Zee smiles and passes a pizza slice to them.
Zee: Oh Sadiie umm play the movie from the beginning.
" Why because you and Mr.Stranger met again randomly tonight", Sadiie says raising one eyebrow and starts giggling.
" I think she likes Fate after tonight's event", Lyla says laughing with Sadiie.
" How in the world could you guy's tell?" she says trying hard not to blush.
"Well the Zee I knew would have blasted with anger once she came out of the car, but instead you froze and was quiet as a mouse", Sadiie says taking a bite out of her pizza.
" Only one person could make you shut up", Lyla says giggling.
"Well I have a confession to make. I am an awesome matchmaker" she says winking.
Sadiie and Lyla both chocked on their food and start coughing.
Zee passes them some water.
Sadiie: Wwwa Wat!!!
Lyla: You mean tonight was a set up!
Zee: Okay fine I won't take all of the credit. I kind of had planned the night quite differently, but instead we ran into a different car.
"So just saying how romantic that fate brought you guys together in traffic light, next a race and then the way you argued and flirted in the side of the road", Zee laughed out load.
Lyla threw a pillow at zee, but she dogged it and continued with her teasing.
"I am telling you an EPIC love story no no wait. Two Epic love stories has just started" Zee giggles as she took another bite of her pizza.
Sadiie: Shut up Zee. I don't believe in Love!
Zee: But you found your Maan so you got no excuses missy!
Lyla: So wat's next?
" Already anxious to see Udhay hmmm. I don't know just call 1-800-Fate and ask him or maybe it's a her" Zee continues to tease.
Lyla: Oh god Shut up Zee! Sadiie put in the movie so she can shut up.
" wait and see what happens sweetheart" she says with a wink.
Lyla rolls her eyes.
Sadiie puts the Dvd and the title "Kismat Konnection" comes on to the TV Screen. The three best friends continued eating their pizza and watched the movie knowing there is some truth behind Fate.
Randomly meeting someone continuously adds its own masala and spices up a relationship making it more gripping and interesting. Fate will keep making them bump into each other until both of them make it right between each other. You are right if you think Fate is playing a game with your life. Fate is the board game and you are its game pieces. Some couples win some don't. One question from this story still remains, " Well there be a happy ending"? I will tell you when Mr. Stranger lets me know, and so will Lyla and Sadiie when the Udhayveer Singh and Maan Singh Khurana of their dreams let them know. Picture abhi bi bakhi hai meri dost! 😉
