Hi guys... okay so before you read the update, please to read this note.

Leaving you behind Part 12

Shashi and Arnav had set out to find Khushi' worry crept over both of them at the possible condition they would find Khushi in.

Shashi knew his daughter too well. She would never intentionally stay out for too long without informing her parents, she was definitely disturbed or hurt.

Arnav felt his heart beat quicken with every thought of his' deep down he felt responsible for the state Khushi might be in today' he shouldn't have been so harsh on her' she must have had an explanation to her behaviour towards him today, for as much as he knew her, she was definitely not someone who would betray him' she was too innocent to even think like that' in an impulse he had just pushed Khushi away from him.

As they were driving down the busy roads of Delhi trying to spot Khushi anywhere, Shashi got a phone call from Khushi's number. He immediately received the call. And quickly began to speak without bothering to see if it actually was her or not.

Shashi: Hello! Khushi' where are '

Before Shashi could say anything further, a male voice interrupted him.

Person: Hello, umm... you're daughter has met with an accident, I found her lying on the ground, and I'm taking her to Sanjeevani hospital, please come there immediately.

Hearing that Shashi dropped the phone in shock' His Khushi, his princess had met with an accident!!

Arnav had heard Shashi's phone ring and when he heard Khushi's name he instantly stopped driving and looked towards him' But then he saw a shocked expression come over Khushi's fathers face, and worry immediately consumed him.

Arnav: Uncle? Is..is Khushi okay ?

Shashi looked towards Arnav and shook his head clearly indicating that something was terribly wrong.

Shashi: Arnav' Khushi has' Khushi has met with an accident.

Arnav looked at Khushi's father in shock but tried to keep his emotions in check, he couldn't fall weak right now.

Arnav: What Hospital is she admitted in?

Shashi: Sanjeevani.

Hearing the name he started the car and drove quickly towards Sanjeevani hospital.

As soon as they reached the hospital, they rushed towards the reception and inquired if a patient named Khushi had been admitted, explaining that she had had an accident and they were informed she would be brought here by a man not too long ago. The nurse looked at her data and nodded, informing that she had been admitted in ward no 103.

Arnav and Shashi quickly thanked the nurse and rushed towards ward no 103, and when they reached they could see through the window of the door that a doctor and few nurses were surrounding her, as she was lying there unconscious.

They turned to their left and saw a man looking at them curiously.

Man: Are you Khushi's father?

Shashi nodded his head and went up to the man that had kindly brought his daughter here and thanked him for all he had done.

Man: No need to thank me' I have kids myself. I only did what I would have done for my own daughter.

Shashi: But still, It was very kind of you to bring my daughter here' I am in debt to you.

Man: Please don't embarrass me' like I said I was only fulfilling my duty' anyways I must get going now' I wish your daughter a speedy recovery.

Arnav stood there as a silent spectator to all this, he couldn't be more thankful to the man who had brought his Khushi here, but he knew that now was not the time to show his gratefulness and concern as it would seem quite odd in front of Khushi's father. He turned back to the window and stared at the sight in front of him' his khushi was lying there unconscious and he was unable to do anything for her, just the thought made him feel so helpless.

Shashi and Arnav waited outside the ward impatiently for the doctor to come out, it had only been 10 minutes but to them it felt like a whole lifetime.

5 minutes later the doctor came out and looked at Shashi and Arnav and inquired about their relation to Khushi.

Shashi: I'm her father, and he is our neighbour and Khushi's friend.

Doctor: Oh I see' well sir, your daughter has undergone a few minor injuries on her head and leg' be thankful to god that the injury on her head are not too deep otherwise she may have suffered from some serious brain damage.

Shashi and Arnav sighed in relief at what the doctor had said, they both thanked god that Khushi had not faced such an injury.

Shashi: Doctor, can we go meet Khushi?

Doctor: I'm sorry we can't let you go inside until the patient has gained conscious' once she is fully conscious and we have done the necessary tests then you can go in.

Arnav: how long will Khushi stay unconscious doctor?

Doctor: she should gain conscious in 15- 20 minutes' in the mean while you can wait out here or you may go to the canteen.

Shashi: We'll stay here' thanks doctor.

The doctor smiled and walked off to attend a few other patients that had been brought in.

Arnav put his hand on Khushi's fathers shoulder and tried to make him feel a little better.

Arnav: Uncle, don't worry I'm sure Khushi will be fine.

Shashi smiled weakly at the young boy' he was definitely very mature and sensible for his age' he had grown fond of Arnav, and deep down was very pleased that Khushi had such a caring friend.

Arnav felt as though time was not even moving' he sat next to Khushi's father restlessly wondering why Khushi had not gained consciousness yet.

After what felt like a decade a nurse came out and informed them that Khushi had gained consciousness and told them that they could come inside now.

The two rushed in to see Khushi lay their weak and hurt' it pained both of them to see her in this state but composed themselves, and tried to be as strong as possible.

Shashi walked up to the bed where Khushi lay and sat on the stool that was next to the bed. He gently stroked his daughter's hair, no longer able to control his emotions, a tear escaped from his eyes as he held Khushi's hand.

Shashi: don't ever do this to us again princess' do you know how worried we were for you' me and arnav looked all over the city for you.

Khushi held onto her father's hand tightly and with her other hand wiped away his tears that were streaming down his face' but all the while crying herself, for causing so much pain to her father.

Khushi: Papa' I'm so sorry' Please don't cry' I can't see my papa weak like this.

Arnav walked towards Khushi and her father and placed his hand on Khushi's father's shoulder and tried to make things a little better' he knew that right now they had to be strong for Khushi's sake at least.

Khushi slowly looked towards Arnav and noticed he was not looking at her instead he had his eyes turned the other way' she knew after what she had done she would never be forgiven, and it was better Arnav hated her anyways' but deep down Khushi's heart was bleeding seeing the pain on Arnavs face, and knowing that she was the cause of his pain was slowly killing her.

Shashi's phone began to ring, seeing Garima's name flash on the screen made him realise that he had yet to tell her about the accident and where they were right now' he knew his wife would be getting worried sick, so he picked up the phone and excused himself from the two' he decided it was better to not talk in front of Khushi, he didn't want her to get any more stressed.

Once Shashi had left the room, Khushi and Arnav felt awkwardness build up in the room. Arnav was about to walk out as well when Khushi held him back. She didn't know what made her do this, in fact wasn't she the one who wanted to stay away from him, then why was she stopping him now' but something inside her still wanted Arnav by her side, however much her mind told her to stay away from Arnav, her heart still needed him, she knew that she had hurt him a lot and seeing this pain on his face was killing her.

Arnav felt Khushi hold his wrist and turned to look at her teary face, she looked emotionally and physically broken, and the sight just made his heart bleed' why was she doing this to both of them, he knew whatever she was doing was hurting her as well as him. He slowly started to walk towards her and sat at on the stool, he stared into her eyes trying to read them, and what he saw was only pain. He took hold of her hand still keeping his eyes held to hers, and kissed it gently.

Khushi felt Arnavs lips touch her skin and closed her eyes forgetting everything, where she was, what condition she was in, everything' all she could think about was Arnav. She opened her eyes again and felt tears pour out uncontrollably.

Arnav saw tears fall down Khushi's cheeks and immediately wiped them' there was one thing he couldn't see, and that was Khushi's tears.

Arnav: Khushi why are you doing this?

Khushi looked up at Arnav, she didn't know if she could answer his question' she started to feel helplessness creep over her once again' she looked at Arnav with pleading eyes, now sobbing.

Khushi: Arnav' Please *sob* stay *sob* away from me ' I'll give you nothing but *sob* pain' mujhse door raho Arnav *sob* Please!

Arnav looked at Khushi now absolutely sure that she was hiding something from him' she had to tell him no matter what.

Arnav: Please Khushi' stop this, you know I can't see you crying, and no matter what you say I can't and will not stay away from you' how could even think that?

Khushi grabbed his collar sobbing even more hard now' she pulled him closer to her.

Khushi: Tum samajhte kyun nahin ho Arnav!!... main tumhe dard ke sewa aur kuch nahin dun gi! (why don't you understand' I'll give you nothing but pain)

Arnavs heart broke seeing Khushi like this' there was something stopping Khushi from coming close to him, something from her past was stopping her.

Khushi was now emotionally and physically worn out and not being able to couldn't take any more stress she collapsed against Arnav. Arnav grabbed onto her and made her lay back' he was now worried sick, he had to leave this matter here, he couldn't give Khushi anymore stress, she needed to rest, otherwise she could become seriously ill. He poured some water from the jug into a glass that was placed on a table next to her bed, and brought it towards her mouth making her drink from it. Once Khushi had drunk the water he told her rest and walked out of the room to go call her father, right now it was better if he stayed away from her.

ohhh thank good she is fine and no head injury but i dont know is she feeling that she will leave him soon or is there a dark secret which i donzt think i hope shahshi get to know about these so lets wait and read
