Leaving you behind Part 7

Arnav and Khushi sat in their class next to each other, Arnav was explaining something to Khushi, though she had caught up with the work she still preferred if Arnav sat next to her, and also as Arnav had sat there for so long now he didn't find the need to move.

He was slowly starting to find a very good friend in Khushi, they got along quite easily' though at the start they had some tiffs but now they were extremely good friends and understood each other really well. Not just Arnav and Khushi but also Khushi and Anjali, their visits around each other's houses, going to the mall and so on were now much more frequent. And through Anjali and Khushi's friendship Arnav had also started to see Khushi more often and sometimes even went out with them, well not that he had a choice, first it used to be Anjali and now even Khushi started to bug him to come to the mall with them, he did act as if he wasn't interested but from the inside he was more than willing to go with them, he just wanted to be around Khushi more, he didn't know why but he wanted to know the real Khushi, the one Khushi tried to hide but it didn't quite miss Arnav's eyes.

Khushi: Wait Arnav you are talking way to fast, explain this again' but this time slowly.

Arnav smiled and rolled his eyes, and repeated himself again, in a very slow manner, which wasn't any better than the previous explanation.

Khushi : Arnav !! Stop messing around! I mean it yaar. I'm so confused!

Arnav chuckled at Khushi's reaction, he just loved teasing her.

Arnav: When are you not confused my friend?

Khushi slapped his arm and turned the other way. Arnav just smiled at her innocence, she was just too naive ' much different to other girls in this class, he thought.

Arnav put his hand on her shoulder which in return Khushi just shrugged off.

Arnav: I'm sorry yaar! Dekh ab kaan bhi pakar liye' ab to maaf kar de meri maa!

Khushi slowly turned her head and smiled widely.

Khushi: Hmm chalo maaf kiya!

Arnav shook his head looking at Khushi's 'notanki'(drama).

Arnav: You are such a drama queen, do you know that?

Khushi: Yeah I know! But you gotta love me heh ?

Khushi winked as she said that, she hadn't realised what her simple playful sentence had got Arnav thinking, he knew she meant it in a friendly way but he couldn't help but think about what she had just said the other way.

Khushi noticed Arnav lost and clicked her fingers in front of him.

Khushi: Earth to Arnav ? Hello?

Arnav shook his head a little surprised and realised he had just been caught day dreaming.

Arnav: Huh?

Khushi: Where are you lost? Day dreaming are we? Hmm?

Arnav: nothing' I was just thinking of something.

Khushi was about to say something when the bell rang, saving Arnav from any further questioning.

Anjali had been listening in to their whole conversation' well she couldn't help it, when it came to Arnav and Khushi she just forgets all her manners' she was hell bent on getting these two together, and seeing this progress in their relationship was great news for her. And to get it up a notch she had a plan up her sleeve which she was thinking of executing tonight, one way or another.

Khushi waited up for Anjali, and then both walked out of the class together.

Anjali: So Khushi is the movie plan still on for tonight?

Khushi: Yeah! Duhh! How can it not be!!

Anjali: Good good!

Khushi: So who else is going?

Anjali: I'm trying to make Chotte come along' but he doesn't seem to be interested.

Khushi for some reason felt a little dejected at the fact Arnav wasn't coming.

Anjali smiled inwardly and played her next card

Anjali: Ooo! Why don't you ask him? I'm sure he won't refuse to you.

Khushi looked up at Anjali with a confused expression.

Khushi: Why? Why won't he refuse to me?

Anjali: well you two seem to get one quite well now don't you think? I mean Chotte has never really become such good friends with any other girl before' hmm I wonder if it's just friendship.

Anjali winked having said that, and then smiled seeing Khushi's shocked and embarrassed face.

Khushi had turn completely red by Anjali's teasing's' she didn't know what to say' could Anjali be right? Was there more to their relationship than just friendship?

Khushi: Anji!! Shut up!! There's nothing going on between me and your brother.

Anjali just laughed at Khushi's state, she looked like she would completely explode of embarrassment. While Khushi just looked at Anjali with annoyance.

Khushi: WHAT'S SO FUNNY!!?

Anjali burst out into even more laughter seeing Khushi's annoyance' God! She looked to cute!

Anjali: You look so damn cute when you're angry Khushi.

Khushi: Look' I'll ask him but let me just tell you he is NOT going to say yes to me.

Anjali: Oh yes he will.

After college Khushi had gone to Arnav- Anjali's house to get some help with homework from Arnav as she couldn't do it on her own and Anjali was of no help, she would just tease her like she did before' and plus seeing that they were all in the same room she took it as a great chance to ask Arnav about the movies and prove Anjali wrong.

Khushi: Ummm' so Arnav are you coming to the movies with us?

Arnav was taken aback by Khushi's random question, where did the movies come from? And what was she talking about' were they planning on going to the movies' but Anji didn't even mention anything about this he thought.

Arnav was about to open his mouth to speak but Anjali knew he would end up messing up her plan so decided to turn the situation around a little.

Anjali: Yea, didn't I tell you about it? Oh Chotte you are so forgetful' and plus you said you weren't interested.

Arnav looked at Anjali with a confused look.

Arnav: What the'

Anjali: Khushi he won't listen to me, you ask him maybe he might listen to you.

Anjali looked at Khushi mischievously and wiggled her eyebrows up and down.

Khushi looked at Arnav a little unsure of what she was to say.

Khushi: Umm'. Arnav why don't you come to the movies with us?

Arnav looked at the two completely and utterly confused now.

Arnav: Yeah sure' Why not? But'

Anjali : See! Didn't I tell you he would agree to you! Okay now you go home and get ready and we'll meet at exactly 7' okay ?

Khushi looked at Arnav with shock and then at Anjali, she was just so confused right now, so she just got up and went.

Arnav looked at Anjali once Khushi had gone with a look that said 'spill the beans'. Anjali just smiled at Arnav nervously and tried to walk out, but Arnav stopped her.

Arnav: Anji I know you're up to something' what is it ?

Anjali: nothing Chotte' why would you think that?

Arnav: Oh I don't know... maybe because you didn't even mention anything about the movies!!

Anjali had seriously not thought that Arnav would actually ask her so many questions.

Anjali: Chotte!! Do you think I'm lying to you?

Anjali knew that her tears were Arnavs biggest weakness, so pretended to cry.

Arnav was taken aback by Anjali's tears. And forgot everything, the only thing in his mind was to get rid of these tears somehow.

Arnav: Anji' I' I didn't mean that' look okay I'm sorry' maybe you did mention it and I may have not paid attention at that time.

Anjali smiled from the inside and started to wipe her tears.

Anjali: hmm

Arnav: okay why don't you get ready and I'll drive us to the cinema?

Anjali's face immediately brightened up and she hugged her brother and rushed out of the room, when she was out of Arnav's sight she did a big 'YES!', and also a little victory dance.

Anjali: Now let the fun begin !
