Great Start :D

I love how you've given us everything - the sense of loss and the pain. And since I've seen the movie, there's a feeling of ruefulness there. When he snubs her and accuses her of being a wh**e and throwing herself at 'other men' I feel sorry for him. I am reminded how she's wearing the red and white saree and has put on sindoor in her parting. She's probably wearing saankhas and all in his name.

I like how you've already created everything - the wall and the misunderstanding.

Awww! I knew it was coming and it still broke my heart! Arnav lashing out at her! I loved your description of Khushi as she walked towards him, I could visualise it happening in front of my eyes.

And Lavanya so accepting of a stranger as her elder sister! :) Only the toys on the forefront of her mind. Is she still the same child within the grown up woman?

How Khushi first came to being with this family intrigues me! :)

It was a lovely update! The traces of Bengali culture definitely visible! :)

Great job, Krani! The pain, the pathos is all there.

I felt the ache behind every word but I have one issue which I dont know if you will agree with...having seen the movie, the writing was starkly similar to the movie and that made me think of Saif and Vidya Balan as Shekhar and Lalita instead of SaRun as ArHi. Maybe you could stage the scenes a bit while keeping true to the story?

Ahh yup! Nah i get where you are coming from, and this part was eerily similar to the movie's bit. And while writing it, I was like, "hmm should I, should i not"

I think you are right, for the upcoming parts, I'll take an extra effort in putting an ArHi twist to the thing, hopefully!

so glad u updated..thought u had given up on it...and this premise actually called to me...because of my love for all things Bengali...and my all time fave...Parneeta...fell in luv Vidya in that movie...and started liking the khan too...now to read your update

it was a sad chapter...i loved the way you described even the tiny detail...it makes it more realistic...i feel like seeing it infront of my eyes,...you are a wonderful writer...i love to read your works...i loved ithis..

Argh! Why am I always so late?? Why Why???

I was waiting for this update for so many days and finally it is here😃

It was amazing! Fantastic start...I can clearly imagine Khushi in a white and red bengali saree and how Arnav pinned her against a wall...because he always does this in the show,too😆

I haven't watched the film..So I could only imagine Barun and Sanaya here.But I am a little bit confused...Is this the past or the continuation from the prologue?

Also a little bit confused why Arnav thinks that Khushi is married to someone else...She isn't,right? But I think that's the secret.

Can't wait for more😃
