Now to the story:

Where the hell was I while you were writing this???

Normally I stay clear of stories that are related to the show and I started reading it thinking that it is AU. But surprisingly it wasnt and yet I enjoyed it.

I loved how you seamlessly merged many IPK moments to recreate your version of the tale.

I will just mention them as they come up in my head.

Khushi lied to Arnav's employees about how much he loves and cherishes her and he heard it. Reminded me of when Khushi lied to her mother about the same and he heard. Difference was in your story he gets angry. In the show he feels indescribable and to him 'unwarranted' guilt.

But I loved your explanation for their actions. She said all this hoping it were true. He reacted badly wanting but knowing it cant be true.

All those gold digger comments and the post-marriage insults raised its ugly head in your story. And those words which he had told her in the show on the road one day that he wished she had died along with her parents and then what he had told her in the show in their room that she is the reason behind all his problems... All those harsh words... the later part of this story was the salve to all these wounds that IPK never managed to give us.

Coming back to the story...

He taunts her, yet feels bad. Inflicts hurt on her yet wants to comfort her. So like the show...

And when she said one day he will go on his knees for her and he scoffed it, it reminded me of the dargah scene where she tells him he will one day realise there is a high power above but she wont be there to see it and he had scoffed at her...

After hearing all these bitter words, she left his house (Khushi was always too strong to contemplate suicide as they showed in the show... show main toh suicide ki bhi mockery hui thi... rehne de) But unlike the show where she goes to her mayka who has turned her away, she goes to the Devi Maiya's temple. Yes, she went there in the show too. But there Arnav had come sooner than she had wanted to be found out. But here, she didnt wish to be found out. No one wants her. Not her husband, not her mayka. What loneliness! What helplessness! 😭 She dropped on the road unconscious. What if something had happened to her????

Then how he goes hysterical when she goes missing for long and then finding her on the road like that reminded me of the havan scene where Arnav thinks she might have met with an accident. The same sorrow and pain...

When she woke up, I almost expected her to retreat into a shell like many FF writers are wont to do. Not that I have an issue with them. Only your take was different. Like the show, she used her voice and lashed back saying, she gave him what he wanted. She left him. Reminded me again about the show, where Arnav regrets his words on blaming her for all the issues and she packs her bags..

She also asked him the million dollar question kyun farak padta hain if she leaves or stays.

And your Arnav decides to pull all stops to answer this question.

He flirts with her then goes cold. Confuse kar diya bichari bachchi ko,

But she decides to go headlong into it. She decides not to run away this time to prove to him she isnt scared. Or probably she still had this little hope that he wont break her heart this time...

He is rich (the show makers forgot this little fact actually) and get the fashion show preponed to apologise to her in front of the world. And Devi Maiya was on his side since as fate would have it the fashion show is at the location of the same gazebo where he apologized to her for the first time.

That was the beginning of their love and this was the expression of it.

Khushi loves Arnav and it is enough for her that he does the same and is ready for a fresh start.

Arnav loves Khushi and he doesnt need physical proof of her innocence. What he said or did is insignificant to what he feels now (the Heer Ranjha dialogue)

That they looked at the stars and took their parents blessings is again so related to the show...

Aman and Anjali were just so them 😊

I loved the SS. Do you have anything else written somewhere too that I dont know of?
