Chapter 1:

Arnav hadn't seen his bride since the day of the marriage but he didnt have any expectations, he had heard a lot about the Gupta's to know what level of expectations to keep, his wife would be a dimwit like all of the rest.

Although having a wife by his side was about as appealing to him as a midnight swim with the sharks would be, but he was prepared for it, he had to live with that darned woman to honor the contract and he maybe anything if not honorable.

His whole life, Arnav Singh Raizada had spent alone, he had never made any friends in college, he had never been close to any of his family members, because he was a man who trusted no one except himself, trusting someone else was what he considered a weakness, but there was one man privy to his thoughts, his best friend Karan, Karan was someone who understood him like no one else, Karan was the one person who could read him like an open book.

He entered his cabin to find Karan sitting on the chair,

"Hey, what are you doing here?"

"Are you kidnapping her tonight?"

"Yes, I have no choice except to do so"

"Have you seen her?"

"No, not since the day I got married to her, and I have no intention in doing so"

"How will you know you kidnapped the right woman?"

"I know which bedroom belongs to her"

"But how do you know the woman you kidnapped is her?"

"Karan, it's an open and shut case, the bedroom is her, so the woman will be her"

"What if?"

"What are you trying to say?"

"Lets go, have a look at her"

"I dont need to have a look at her, I'll be doing that a lot after I've kidnapped her, I want a nightmare free night today at least"

"Arnav you need to prepare yourself"

Arnav turned around. "I don't need to prepare myself," he said. "Everything's ready. I already know which window belongs to her room. There's going to be a ladder outside her window and I'm going to climb through and get her.There isn't a lock on her window to worry about.

"So you've thought of everything, have you?"

Arnav nodded. "Du-uh, I am Arnav Singh Raizada afterall."

"Really?, No wonder you have to stoop to kidnapping something that's yours"

"Her father is a bas***d, he's the one who's proving a problem, he's found a loop in the contract, the contract date is getting over soon, and if she is not with me, they'll sue me but I cant get her until she finishes her studies, that was one of the clauses, but if I wait that long, the contract date will be over, and they will sue me, so you see I have no choice but kidnap her through her window."

"What if your not able to kindap her, what if something goes wrong?"

"Nothing goes wrong when Arnav Singh Raizada plans it"

"You should get a good look at the house, measure the security, get to know the way around the house, incase something does go wrong?"

"I am not going anywhere"

"Get your ass in the car Raizada, we are going to see your Bride"

"I am not going anywhere to see her"

"Yes, you are, actually we are"

"You don't have to go through with this Arnav, You can claim that they didnt let her come with you, or we can nulify the contract, it surely isn't valid after this long is it?"

"No." His tone was emphatic. "My signature's on that contract. A Raizada doesn't break his word."

"As you wish"

Upon reaching the Gupta state, Arnav turned to face Karan,

"We have come here to see the grounds, after that we leave"

"Or maybe we can have a look at your going to be bride as well?"

"How do you know which one she is?"

"If you have your men following her around, I have a few myself"

"What do you mean?"

"There's a party going at the Gupta's right now, and my sister was invited so I told her after meeting Khushi, she should stay with her, and you do recognize my sister right?"

"So all this was pre-planned?"

Karan looked at him guiltily, "I had to see your bride before you kidnap her, because if she's not up to your standards then no kidnapping"

"Karan, I have no intention of breaking the contract, standard or no standard, the kidnapping will take place"

"Why dont you go talk to her?"

"Yeah and remember what that did?"

"Maybe she was afraid?"

"Thats why she ran away?"

"Arnav, be rational"

"I am rational, I told her I was coming to get her so she ran away"

"But with her whole family?"

"Her father is very smart"

"Arnav, you have your men following her, you could have easily stopped her and taken her away, then why?"

"I wanted to give her a chance to come to her senses"

"Are you sure that was all?"

"What else could it have been?"

"Maybe because you were protecting her?"

"Why would I do that?"

"Arnav, just admit it"

"There is nothing to admit"

"You do know, after today, her family wont leave you alone?"

"I'll be fine"

"What about her?"

Arnav shrugged. "I'll protect her."

"I don't doubt that."

"Lets just go"

They both got out of the car and walked up to the entrance, there were a few guards standing near the door, Karan walked up to them and spoke to them, after a few minutes they moved away allowing them to enter,

"Arnav, stay on the sides, because if someone recognize's you, you are dead meat" Karan whispered,

Arnav and Karan walked along the side of the garden, staying in the shadows but at the same time having a clear view of the guests,

"Where's your sister Karan?"

"I am searching for her"

"Ten minutes Karan and no more"

"Fine, just wait"

Looking around the garden, Karan finally spotted his sister,

"Ah, there she is"

"Where?"

Karan pointed to a girl wearing a green dress,

"So that means next to her is your bride, if only she would turn her..." Karan's sentence was left incomplete as he gazed at the beauty infront of him,

"Holy Crap, Arnav is that Khushi?'

Arnav was too stunned to reply, could that possibly be his bride?

She was stunning, close to perfection, her fair complexion, her hair coal dark hair, her curves, she was the defination of magnificent.

"Arnav, your bride is magnificent"

"Lets go" and he pulled Karan out the gates,

"Dont tell me you didnt think she was pretty, man she's way above even your standards"

"Shutup Karan"

"Come on, tell me what did you think of her?'

Arnav smiled at his friend, "The only thing I thought of her was, she's going to be kidnapped by Aranv Singh Raizada tonight, so let her enjoy the last few moments of happiness she has, because once I get her, it is going to be hell for her"
