"You really think you can beat me?" his tone was taunting...
"I KNOW I can Mr. Raizada...Have I not already undertaken and WON every challenge between us so far!?"
"Won?...Every challenge?..." a grin twitched on his lips as his eyes roamed over her defiant face...
Khushi pointed a finger and poked at his chest..."Get that smug, superior look off your gusty face!"
"Ohhh Mrs. Raizada, you're full of spunk this morning aren't you...alright..." he said shrugging his shoulders, "If you think you can beat me, then bring it on..."
Arm wrestling had never been such an enticing proposition...
"well Khushi? where are we going to do this?"
Khushi looked around their room...
Grabbing his arm, she forcefully pulled him down to the floor...
They lay across from each other on their stomachs and postitioned their elbows...
Entwining hands, he gave her one last chance to back out...
"No...I am not backing away from this!" Khushi said feeling frustrated...
"Ok then..." his eyes bore into hers..."Ready...set..."
Gazes locked.
"Go."
Khushi flexed her muscles and began to push as hard as she could...
Arnav grinned seeing her try with such tenacity...
For endless seconds, she used as much of her strength as she could...
Then, looking at their entwined hands, she saw that he wasn't trying to push back...
He just held his arm still...blocking her from winning, but not trying to win for himself...
She relaxed her arm slightly..."Why aren't you moving!? scared!?"
Fighting laughter, his eyes darted up to hers..."Scared? Uh huh, yes, You definitely frighten me with you...uh...powerful physique..."
Narrowing her eyes, her voice became potent with her dare..."So...maybe I was right..."
Arnav arched his brows..."About what?"
"Long ago I said, that a person with the name Arnav can do nothing right..."
His nerves jolted...
Eyes flashed with animosity...
"Fine..." ASR had now infiltrated Arnav's body..."You really want a challenge...then you will get one..."
Smirking, he gripped her hand as she emphatically did the same...
"Ready..."
He glanced at her dark eyes...
"Set..."
She moved a fraction of an inch, repositioning herself...
As she did, her dupatta slipped away from her chest...baring her neck, and upper swell of her breasts...
His eyes were now welded to her skin as he breathed the word..."G...go..."
She pushed with supreme exertion and his fist hit the losing side...
Smiling Khushi said..."Wow...I actually did it! I won!"
Arnav's conscience suddenly thudded back to the moment...
"You...You did not! My attention was...was..." his eyes zeroed in on her bare skin again...
"Don't think that you can excuse your way out of this one! I won fair and squ..."
A cool breeze flitted through the room...
Khushi moved to pull her dupatta closer around her...
It then dawned on her where Arnav's eyes were...
She hurriedly tried to pull her hand free from his, but he gripped her tighter...
In one swift move, he whipped her hand to her losing side, effectively winning for himself...
His move was so strong that as the back of her hand hit the floor, she spun around with it...
Now laying on her back, Arnav repositioned himself, sliding next to her, his legs still in the opposite direction to hers...
"Now, Mrs. Raizada...You lose..."
Her mouth opened to defy him, but he dropped his mouth feverishly close to hers, silencing her abruptly...
"You forfeit Mrs. Raizada, for distracting me...with your luscious body..."
She squeezed their enclosed hands and pulled him closer...
"Touche, you win..."
