Poignant detailing of what was going in Arnav's and Khushi's minds...How Khushi became almost catatonic and tapped into her memories of Shimla (amazing description of the scenery, by the way) to keep her mind and sanity intact.
And Arnav trying so hard, even hoping, to find a trace of his father's influence that had caused him to behave in this monstrous manner--but realizing that it was his own actions that had damaged Khushi so badly. That realization was great. Did feel though, that he'd already had this epiphany of his culpability before--when he mistakenly thought Khushi had attempted suicide because of him, and had decided then to let her go with Shyam. Though this supposition of her 'suicide attempt' was wrong, he did realize the months of physical, mental and emotional hardship he had put her through.
Will he do anything constructive with this realization now? That's the real question isn't it-- the last time around, it ensured his acceptance (sort of 😊) of his soul consuming passion for Khushi, but still didn't stop this madly violent outburst.
Is he going to go all out now to make it up to her/ woo her/ soothe her, or will he run from his emotions as before...
Payal, Akash and NK, in so many ways, coming across as such sensible, well rounded and admirable personalities. Great job you've done with these portrayals!
Couldn't shake off the sense of stasis, though, that hit me when I read this chapter- was wondering if it was the calm before the storm? Almost seemed as if the whole chapter was running in a kind of slow motion 😊
After the last 3 chapters I have been literally grinding my teeth at the mercurial and capricious nature of the Arnav--Khushi bond. At the end of thread 2 and beginning of thread 3, I really thought they had finally reached some level of understanding of the depth of their feelings for each other. At least, the trust level seemed to have been established. If anything, it was Arnav who was resolving to go all out to win back Khushi's full trust.
But now its come to him doubting her again, and causing so much more damage this time. There's so much he has to do now to heal her wounds..just hope he has the gumption to do it, (and Khushi the forbearance to actually let him do it!!)
