Chapter 35
"Boo"
she turns the knob hard pounding on the door...yelling for someone or anyone to open the door...she leans on the floor against the door when it finally hits her...it wasn't a dream...she was really here, she was really back to the devil himself...She slowly gets up knowing there is no turning back now...she will have to do what she came here to do and whom she came here for...Dadima..she doesn't remember exactly what happened...she remembers ONLY the devil's face looking at her with anger and smirk...
She leans her ear against the door trying to hear for any noises...it was dead quiet...no one was around and this scared her more..."What if no one comes? What if I die here alone?" Slowly she knocks on the door with shaky hands...*knock* *knock* she listened quietly for any noise for any human but nothing came...she slowly knocks again but this time little bit louder...Geet jumps when she hears footsteps again...
Geet immediately moves away from the door remembering everything that he had done to her..now there was no one that could possibly save her...she was alone...Geet goes on the bed placing blanket on her stomach while holding a lamp in her hands tightly...the footsteps were getting louder...she looks at the door knob..she heard keys jingling...her heartbeat rose as the door knob slowly turned...
Geet closes her eyes as a reflex...she wasn't ready to see him..she never wanted to see him again but yet she is here...Geet heard his laugh as he walked closer and closer toward her...she felt some weight at the edge of the bed...Geet curls her toes bringing her legs closer to her chest making sure not one part of her body touches him...she drops the lamp on the floor when he touched her hand that was holding it...
The shatter of the lamp made Geet open her eyes slowly moving back quickly when he was sitting really close to her...she wraps her arms around her legs looking at him with fear while he just sat there observing her like she was some kind of experiment...
"Did you have a good sleep?" (he looks at his watch) "You have been sleeping for five hours straight..." (he moves closer towards her while she moves back...) "you know this is not the type of reaction I was hoping for...but anyway that doesn't matter...the important thing is you are here and one day earlier as I had expected..."
she looks at him confused...Geet jumps when Maan puts his head on her lap...he was a different person..why wasn't he yelling? Why doesn't he punish her for leaving him? Why was he so calm? Does he have something planned in his head for her? She brings her hands slowly to move his head when he wasn't looking but moves them away when he turned his face toward her...
"don't think too much Geet...aahh Geet music to my ears..it feels so good to finally call your name and see you here with me..." (he laughs..he sits up looking at her...) "Five weeks...five weeks you were gone..you know how many seconds, hours and minutes I was without you...how each minute reminded me of your betray? (He holds her arms with anger...) Answer me! (he yells...Geet shakes her head no..he lets go of her...) How would you know...you were out enjoying yourself while I spent my day looking for you...(he gets off the bed and goes toward the wall...he takes out a marker as he beings writing on the wall...)

She looks at all of them with confusion...after he was done...he walks towards her...he grabs her hair tightly until she screams in pain..."take a look at those numbers Geet...they are your countdown...3024000 seconds, 50400 minutes, 840 hours and 35 days that I spent being tortured by you..." (Geet puts her hands on top of his to stop him from pulling her hair but nothing stopped him..he grabs her face making her look at him) Your countdown begins Geet...(he lets go of her making her fall on the bed)
She looks at him with anger..."You can do whatever you want I am not scared of you..I have already went through a lot that nothing worries me now but just remember one thing...(she puts her hand on her stomach) I won't be responsible if something happens... (he looks at her with confusion...)
Maan: Only time will tell and I don't care about consequences...nothing can touch me or affect me...
Geet (smirks) are you sure?
Maan (pushes her on the bed lying on top of her..putting his full weight on her...) You wanna play games with me? (he looks at her with one raised eyebrows...Geet turns her head away not answering him...he makes her look at him...) Looks like outside air changed you (he brings her head up a little kissing her on the lips...Geet struggled for breath..she tried pushing him away but he wouldn't budge...she felt him invading her mouth like before..she felt disgusted...after he was done he pushes her away while getting up..)
You still taste the same...(Geet gets off the bed trying to walk toward the bathroom ignoring Maan...he gets angry...Maan grabs her arm jerking her towards him...) be ready for tonight my dear...(his hands roams over her body...he tilts his head with a smirk) if you know what I mean...and this time I will make sure no one hears your screams...no one comes to help you! This is your new kingdom...(he laughs as he walks out of the room locking her in)
Geet falls down on the floor...He hasn't changed nor he ever will be...will he change when he finds out that I am pregnant? OR will he turn my kid just like him? It won't be fair to my kid to be brought up in this environment that has no love only hatred..what life will my kid have? I would fail as a parent...Babaji what should I do? Help me! Show me a way...
Meera runs toward Yash who was just about to leave for office..she hands him the note that Geet left...she hugs him tight while crying..."she is gone...that devil took her..." Yash makes her sit down calming her down while Yash reads the note...
"I don't know where to begin thanking you guys. I am alive only because of you both...when I had no one in my life, when I had no relations no future or hope you guys showed me the way. You guys made me strong enough to fight my own battles. I know you both will be upset and angry at me especially Meera but I had no choice. How long can I run away from him? sooner or later I had to face him Babaji just gave me the reason...Dadima...no matter what whether he may be lying about her I can't turn my back on her...She needs me...
If he could send a letter to you guys then he could surely reach here as well...I would've NEVER forgiven myself if he had done anything to you guys! That is why I had to leave without telling you guys! I am sorry! But I will always be thankful to Babaji for giving me the best sister and best friend anyone could ask for. Please do me a favor and forget there was Geet for I don't know when I will see you guys again.
Also, please tell Mohindar uncle I forgive him..."
Yash drops the note on the floor hugging Meera.
