Chapter 1-Alone

"You will sleep here, on the floor in the cold by yourself. All alone" She shuddered as he caught her shoulders and threw her back down onto the floor. She stared at him, but she had to know. Why was he punishing her?

Gathering herself up again, She looked at him. "How dare you!? " She screamed in agony. "Why? Why did you do this!?" she held her hand up and pointed towards her surroundings emphasizing the drastic change in their relationship. Just a few hours ago, He was behaving so different, almost as a lover. She closed her eyes to hide the pain, love? How could this man be capable of expressing love? "Why did you marry me?" she asked. Staring at him as he clenched his fists tight and immediately pinned her to the wall.

"I don't have to answer your questions." "What's that meant to mean!?" Khushi questioned, her rage increasing by his obnoxious attitude. "Listen Mr Arnav Singh Raizada" she pointed her finger into his chest. "Whenever you do something, you yourself are accountable; You yourself don't justify your actions because it involves yourself. But this marriage. It involves me too! Why did you marry me? You yourself are against the idea of marriage. Then why? When everyone asks me why you married me, what am I going to say?" "Oh cut the crap Khushi Kumari Gupta" Khushi stared at Arnav confused. Why was he behaving like this? She wondered.

"Just stop with this I'm so innocent crap. Enough. I know exactly what type of person you are." He looked at her up and down in disgust. "You should be happy, You've finally accomplished your mission. You're married to the famous business tycoon Arnav Singh Raizada. How much money do you want huh?" He took out a bundle of money from his pocket and threw it at her face. She scrunched her lehnga hoping the tears wouldn't come out. She hated this.

Immediately she went towards him and started attacking him with her fists. She hit him on the chest attempting to take out her frustration and he twisted her the other way round so her back was now against his chest. "Nice kitty" he whispered harshly as her chest heaved and her breathing became uneven. He went down towards her neck inhaling her scent and bit her neck. She gasped at the pain and then he threw her onto the floor again. His hair was messy and he growled. "Sleep"

Hours later, she twisted and turned on the floor. It was cold & hard. She felt unloved. She glanced sideways staring at the man who was in deep sleep, she couldn't recognize him anymore. The tension, the questions, the anger from the family members dashed back to her. Realizing sleep was a long way away, she silently made her way downstairs and into the kitchen. She was going to prepare jalebi's. Her stress reliever.

Silently pondering about the events that had happened the night before, her unexpected wedding, of course was last night, It was now 3am in the morning and she was sitting on the counter with a Jalebi in her hand muttering to herself.

She shut the lights and walked outside the kitchen. She walked towards the temple, Devi Maiyya's statue in front of her as she walked and stood. " You saw what he did didn't you Devi Maiyya. You saw the way he behaved with me. Why Devi Maiyya? Why? That's when I needed you the most. Where were you?" she cried, her voice breaking.

"You believe your Devi Maiyya so much, she can't spare you from me today" Arnav yelled as he filled her maang with sindoor and she clenched her eyes shut.

"Im scared. Please stay with me, Please give me the strength to go on and face the family members Devi Maiyya. Please help me" she pleaded as she closed her eyes and then silently went to her new bedroom.

Before i continue with the story, Just want to say that Khushi will be shown slightly weak, Its important for the progression of the story! She will be strong later on! Will be waiting for your comments🤗
