Part 10

Anjali's baby shower was a success without anybody's taunts or tortures against Khushi. Everyone had a great time. Khushi and Payal started cleaning the house, when the servants of the Raizada Mansion started helping them. It was indeed a great evening.

Anjali was now resting, because she was tired and drained out. Shyam had been there to support her and felt happy in his life to have her and now double happiness would be coming soon. He couldn't wait. Shyam made Anjali fall asleep, and fell asleep too.

Arnav was happy for his sister, she finally found happiness in her life after their tearful, dreaded childhood. He found Khushi cleaning up and went to tell her to not work too much.

Arnav: Khushi, why are you working so much? Remember, you have to rest.

Khushi: Woh, hum toh bas Payal ki madad kar rahe the, aur bas kuch cleaning karni hain, aur phir hume rest kar lenge. (Um, I was just helping Payal clean up and there's a little cleaning to do, then I'll rest soon).

Arnav nodded but he stayed back and helped her clean up. Soon it was 11 o'clock, when Arnav decided that they should go sleep, since they cleaned everything. Khushi was tired to even walk, so Arnav carried her in his arms to their room. Payal went back to her room too.

Arnav put her on her side of the bed, and went to change. After Arnav changed, he found Khushi fast asleep. He shook his head knowing how much she works around the house. He went to his side of the bed and caressed her stomach, which was slowly starting to grow. He kissed her stomach lovingly, and fell asleep burying his head into Khushi's neck.

Soon, it was morning and everybody was awake and present in the aarti. Everybody ate their breakfast and went to their respective places.

Lavanya thought it would be best to make sure she is on Arnav's good side. But she couldn't be on his good side. She had completely lost him. Now, all she had to do is recover and return to her old and boring life. She knew Rahul loved her a lot. Maybe she should give Rahul a chance to prove his love. After all, he stood by her everytime, even when she was wrong herself, he was faithful to her no matter what. Maybe she should think about it clearly, and then give Rahul an answer.

Nani had called Khushi & Anjali to the prayer room, and Nani read them the Bhagvad Gita every morning after breakfast. Khushi felt elated and hoped the baby was hearing Nani and the story.

Arnav was working on his laptop in the library room. Soon, he was done with all the pending works. Arnav started thinking about Lavanya and her dirty mind. 'She can do anything, maybe I should just keep the tight security around the family and keep them safe out of Lavanya's clutches'. Arnav went to look for Khushi and found her in the room getting dressed.

After Khushi was done getting dressed, Arnav and Khushi went for their morning walk in Delhi. They passed by many stores and just kept talking until she saw a pani-puri stall. She rushed to it and looked at Arnav if she could have some, he nodded his head. Soon, Khushi was done eating and Arnav gave her plenty of water.

Arnav and Khushi had returned from their morning walk and Khushi announced it was fun. Arnav smiled seeing her talk happily to their family. Arnav went up to his room and started to work on his laptop and send some files through his laptop. Suddenly, HariPrakash came in and gave him a letter that was sent to him from Paris. Arnav wondered who could it be and opened the letter. He saw that it was a letter from Lavanya, which said that she was tired of chasing after Arnav, so she'll just try to forget about Arnav and move on with her life. That was the only option for her anyway. Arnav started getting suspicious, wondering if this was one of her plans. He hid the letter in his laptop briefcase pocket. Hopefully, Khushi wouldn't be able to see it. Arnav continued working on his laptop trying to think of a plan to get rid of Lavanya.

Khushi came in to her room, and slowly, tiptoed in her husband's recliner near the poolside. She went behind him and put her arms around his neck and put her face closer to his and kissed his cheek. Arnav smiled at knowing it was Khushi and got up and turned around. He smiled at her and she did the same. Arnav cupped her face in his hands and tilted his face a little. He put his lips on hers, it was a gentle kiss for 4 minutes. She blushed and ran inside the room, while Arnav was still smiling ran behind her. She giggled when he started to tickle her. They were whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears, when a girl entered in skimpy clothes and called out to Arnav.

Girl: Oh Arnie!!!!!!, she said excitedly

Arnav: Komal?, he asked.

Komal was Arnav's best friend since childhood, and she coudln't wait to spend time with him. She was in love with him since childhood, but Arnav never knew about that. She knew Lavanya and felt bad for her. When she entered the room, she had seen Arnav and a girl in a saree and wearing the married woman ornaments in a close embrace. She got confused immediately and wondered who she was and why she was hugging Arnav.

Komal: Who is this?, she said pointing to Khushi rudely.

Arnav: She's Khushi, she's my wife, he said proudly.

Komal froze. Khushi was his wife? Ugh. Why did destiny play with her like that? Komal was disheartened and heart broken. She couldn't believe that she came to Delhi, all the way from Canada. Well, probably he loved Khushi. She decided to introduce herself.

Komal: Hi, I'm Komal.

Khushi: Hi.

Khushi went to go get some cold refreshments for Komal. She was near Arnav, when she was about to trip. Arnav quickly helped her from preventing her to trip. Arnav told Khushi to sit and rest, and made her sit on the bed. While Arnav gave JayPrakash the order of getting Komal water.

Komal: What's wrong? Is she okay?

Arnav: Yeah. She's pregnant, that's why she has to be extra careful.

Komal: Oh.

Komal was surprised and went to the living room to meet the rest of the family members. They knew about Komal's love for Arnav and felt bad for her. But Komal brushed it off, saying it was a crush.

Khushi went downstairs with Arnav holding her. She went to the kitchen and made everybody lunch. After giving everybody their lunch, she sat down next to Arnav and started to eat. Komal looked at the couple and thought that they were a couple sent from heaven. Komal had to admit that Khushi was beautiful and she was just right for Arnav. He had good taste. She hoped that Lavanya doesn't do anything bad to them again. She had heard the news that she almost tried to kill Khushi. Oh well. I'll protect her. Komal continued eating.

After lunch was over, Khushi cleaned up and went to the living room, where the family members were.

Komal: You cook very good. The lunch was great.

Khushi smiled at the compliment.

Khushi: Thank you.

Komal went up to her room and got notified that Khushi cleaned the guest room for her and it looked very well. She was the perfect wife any man could ask for. Komal would try her hardest to convince Lavanya to stop her dirty deeds, and accept the reality. It's time Lavanya faces the reality. But not now, it would take time. She went to her bed and slept. She was jetlagged for so long.
