That really was one of your best parts!
The bit with Khushi gave me shivers, and I found myself getting absorbed and leaning in as I read more and more.
I think the flashbacks, and then Khushi's pondering over them is what gave them such an eery effect, but it worked so well!!!
I also loved the bit you did with the knife. Khushi was never a coward, she never backed away from a challenge, but the "new Khushi" you are describing is so different to the old Khushi that for a moment I seriously thought that she would take her own life.
I am glad she didn't.
But even a glimpse of what she could have done had she not been interrupted, had she not glanced at the colour of the blood and been reminded of Arnav is so devastating! It truly shows how badly she had been affected by it all!
Arnav's cowardliness in going after her was unfair on her, but maybe he thought that she wanted nothing to do with him after the pain he put her through? Maybe he felt she deserved better?
