Chapter 6

DJ: We only have one couple left on the dance floor, and that is the beautiful birthday girl, Khushi and Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada. Please give them a hand.

The party was still on and Arnav and Khushi had split up. Khushi was talking to a group of her friends, when she noticed Aarohi standing all alone in the corner. She excused herself from her friends and went to Aarohi.

K: Aarohi, what happened?

Aa: Nothing, Khushi. I'm fine.

K: When you know that you can't lie to me, why do you even try?

Aa: I'm serious, Khushi. If something was wrong, you'd be the first person who I would tell.

K: Ok, fine. I believe you. But if something happens, you have to tell me. Promise?

Aa: Promise. Now let's go dance!!!!

Khushi and Aarohi headed to the dance floor and were dancing for about 20 minutes, when Arnav had walked by them. He had noticed Khushi and was once again mesmerized by her.

Khushi could feel that someone was looking at her. She just didn't know who. She looked around, until her eyes fell on Arnav. She too was lost.

Aa: Khushi, Khushi what happened?

The party was long over and all of the guests had left and Khushi was getting ready for bed. It had been a long, tiring day for her. But also one of her best days, after all she had turned 19 today! As she was getting ready for bed, Khushi remembered the dance that she had shared with Arnav. How it had felt to dance with someone else. She was so glad that she had gotten to experience this. Khushi was still thinking about Arnav, as she fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Raizada Mansion

"Why do I keep thinking about her? I barely even know her," Arnav thought. "Chotte, it's time for bed," Anjali said, walking into his room.

"Good night, Di." "Good night, Chotte."

Arnav too, had fallen asleep while thinking of Khushi.

Khanna Mansion

Arjun kept thinking about Aarohi as he was getting ready for bed. "No dude. Aarohi's your best friend. You're supposed to be getting married to Khushi. Stop thinking about her." Arjun said to himself. But Arjun couldn't help himself as he fell asleep thinking about Khushi.

Sharma Mansion

The next morning- Raizada Mansion

N: Chotte, Chotte get up. Come on.

A: Ma, 5 minutes more please?

N: No Chotte. Get up and go take a shower. Than come downstairs for breakfast.

A: Fine, Ma.

Arnav got up and got ready and went downstairs for breakfast. After a delicious breakfast with his mom and Di, Arnav left for his office.

Gupta Mansion

G: Wake up Khushi.

K: Mom, you know that I never get up before 10:00, than why are you trying to wake me up at 8?

G: Khushi, my princess. You have to wake up. We have a pooja today.

K: Why, Mom? My birthday was yesterday and there is nothing special today.

G: Your Dad's new office branch opened today and we have to go there for a special pooja.

K: Mommm. Please. You know that I don't like poojas and all. Why do I have to go?

G: For your father, Khushi. You know that he bought this branch for you. So you own this branch and have to do all of the important rituals in the pooja.

K: Fine, Mom. What should I wear?

Khushi gets up and heads to her closet. "Hmmm' I know. I should wear this!" Khushi pulls out the dress that she had bought yesterday. (Check part 2 for the link).

G: No Khushi. You can't wear that.

K: Why, Mom?

G: Beta. It's black.

K: So what?

G: I don't want you to wear black to the pooja. Please find some other dress to wear. Just not in black.

K: Fine.

Khushi picks out a dress, takes a shower, changes and shows her mom.
