Chapter 7

'KRIA! STOP RIGHT THERE!'
Kria shut her eyes tightly and turned around slowly as she faced her worst nightmare. Nani was even worse than Mom when it came to this kind of stuff.
'Kria aaj to tu gayi!' she muttered to herself.
Kria gulped loudly as she turned to face Nani who was striding towards her in an angry manner. The whole gang moved out of the way for the furious looking lady and Jay and Gina stood behind Nani motioning to Kria that she is going to die now. Kria put on her best puppy dog face as she looked at them but they shook their heads because they didn't want to get involved when it came to Nani's fury. Nani came and stood in front of Kria but when she saw that Kria's clothes were drenched and completely see through she motioned for Kria to walk.
'Kria, I will talk to you after you change', Kria quickly walked off, 'You Boy! I will also see you after you change', she added to Rey who was trying to make himself invisible, 'the rest of you, come down to breakfast' she added.
Everyone nodded and ran as fast as they could downstairs.
'I feel sorry for Kria', Sharon whispered to Swayam as they walked down the stairs.
'Yeah, she has to face two furious women. Her Mom and her Nani!' Swayam replied to her while Sharon nodded meaningfully.
Everyone finished their breakfast and stood in tense silence in the main hall as they waited for Kria and Rey to come down. They all stood in a line and Nani looked as if she was a commander as she paced back and forth. Finally Rey came down followed by Kria as they stood like two naughty kids in front of the rest of the gang. Nani came and stood in front of them as she looked Rey up and down and circled him like a vulture. Rey gulped uneasily and stared hard at the floor wishing it would pen up and swallow him whole.
Finally Nani came to a stop in front of Kria and said, 'Who is this boy?
The atmosphere was so tense it could be cut with a knife asKria looked at Rey resignedly and the rest of the gang shook their heads quietly in a silent no with wide eyes. In order to save Rey from Nani's anger Kria breathed in and said, 'He is my-'.
'Jiju! He is Kria's Jiju...aka my BOYFRIEND!' Before Kria could complete her sentence a voice was heard from the back and the whole group turned to look at a hot girl striding in wearing a skimpy dress as she stood next to Rey and gave him a kiss on the cheek and Rey went away with her.
'Kria I am waiting... what are you thinking about? He is your what?' Nani said to Kria sternly as she brought Kria out of her reverie where she looked around to make sure there was actually no hot girl out there to take her Rey away from her.
'Ummm...Nani, Rey is my...he is my...special friend', Kria finished and upon her Nani's questioning glance she continued, 'I mean that when I was in Mumbai he was the one who helped me to hide my dancing from Mom and taught me to follow my dreams'. Before Nani could even respond Kria cut in quickly, 'Nani you always told me to follow my dreams right? You know I love dancing but Mom doesn't think so and Rey helped me follow my dream. Every person needs a true friend in their life, you told me, and Rey is that true friend for me okay?' Kria finished out of breath waiting for Nani's response.
Nani bent over laughing so ahrd that eras started streaming out of her eyes and when she finally looked up to see the confused faces of the group she further clarified, 'Beta, you didn't have to give me an explanation. I was only joking! I trust you. Kria You are at an age now where you have to be independent and I can't tell you what to do and what not to. I was only joking with this whole setup, but I think my acting skills are pretty good considering that everyone here was so scared of me I thought they would pee their pants!'
Upon hearing that Nilesh started to laugh and then it spread like wildfire so everyone was laughing so loud they all collapsed on the floor with tears streaming down their faces and when everyone calmed down they went up to the terrace.
The whole gang went up to the terrace still laughing it all off, excluding Nani of course, and they all sat down. After a few more fits of giggles the atmosphere became awkward and the St. Louis gang knew that Rey and Kria probably want to talk alone but jay and Gina were with them as well so they couldn't say anything.
'So K! Won't you introduce me properly to this hot- I mean new friend?' Gina asked cheekily as the St. Louis gang glared daggers at her and Kria smiled slightly knowing her cousin's attitude.
'Yeah...Uh...Gina and uh...Jay...this is Rey my-', Kria began.
'Yeah, yeah we know your "special" friend', Jay said rolling his eyes,' Guys, instead of sitting here like losers how about we show you around this place? This place is amazing I bet you guys will have a great time, what's say?' Jay asked everyone.
The gang looked at each shrugged and agreed to go, the awkward tension gone, everyone was excited about going on an outing. Everyone went to get ready and as they all came down the stairs Nani saw them.
'Where are you guys going?' Nani asked them.
'Oh, Nani we just decided to show these guys around this place', Jay answered her.
'Well, why don't you guys go stay in the guest house for a few days? The view there is great and I am sure you will all have a great time!' Nani said.
'Yeah Nani! That doesn't sound like a bad idea!' Gina said excitedly, 'Come on guys! What are you all waiting for? Go and pack!'
Everyone agreed and went to go pack their bags. In the girls' room the girls were having a great time deciding which clothes to take with them.
'Guys...'Kria said exasperatedly as she sat down heavily on the bed.
'What happened Kria?' Vishakha asked concernedly.
'Vishakha...I have nothing to wear! Nani has taken all my clothes and is making me wear all these!' Kia said motioning to the Indian clothes she was wearing.
'But Kria you look good in them', Rini said while Kria still looked dejected.
Seeing Kria's problem Sharon spoke up, 'Kria, just because their Indian clothes doesn't mean they're not stylish. Here let's see some of the clothes and we'll just pack the best looking ones', Sharon said as she rummaged through Kria's drawers.
'This looks good!' Sharon said bring out a black cloth.
'What's that?' Vishakha said looking at the long cloth.
'It's a sari...I will NOT wear a sari!' Kria said stubbornly.
'But look Kria it looks sexy...you know like when it's wet and all it looks so hot', Sharon clarified.
'Yeah but it's not practical', Kria said snatching the sari out of Sharon's hand, 'I can't do anything in it so what the point of wearing it?'
'The point is that boys love revealing clothes and especially if it's a sari-'Sharon began.
'They can...you know...do stuff', Simmi said while the rest of the girls giggled and Kria began to stubbornly stuff the rest of her clothes in her bag.
'What's all the noise for?' Nani said as she came in with Kria's suitcase.
'Nani?' Kria said questioningly looking at the bag.
'Yeah, I thought that this clothing would be better to wear on an outing than what you're wearing now', Nani clarified.
Kria rushed to hug Nani and thanked her while the rest of the girls began to pack Kria's bag for her and Sharon made sure to slip in the black cloth as she smiled cheekily.

BTW, didn't you just love the way I twisted the last precap. Everyone was getting so scared about who it could be that said that Rey was Kria's jiju...hahahahhaa...I got answers like Gina, Taani, Sharon and even Nani! Heheheheheh!
