Part 4

Khushi was busy with breakfast preparations in the kitchen. She had been avoiding Arnav ever since their little tryst in the morning. God knows when he'll snap back to ASR mode then snap at her for splashing him! Khushi couldn't understand what had come over her when she did that. Had she not promised herself to ignore him and just somehow get through these last 6 weeks? Then why was it that she couldn't control her thoughts, words or actions in front of him?

The growing noise outside in the dining area snapped Khushi out of her reverie. She turned off the gas and made her way there to see what the commotion was about. The sight that greeted her was one she wouldn't have even dared imagine in her wildest dreams. Arnav was sitting at the dining table, leaning back on the chair, arms crossed across his chest and a stubborn pout adorning his impeccable face. Around him, the family members were trying desperately to appease him.

"Chotte, aap please khana kha lijiye na," pleaded Anjali.

"Nahi. Mere pasand ka kuch nahi bana hai. Main kuch nahi khaoonga." Arnav was adamnent.

"Par Chotte aap khana nahi khayenge to dawai kaisi lenge," Nani tried to reason with him as well.

"Mujhe dawai bhi nahi leni hai." Arnav had spotted Khushi by now and his eyes twinkled mischievously.

"Bhai, please, aaj bahut important meeting hai aur deal finalise karne ke liye aapka waha hona bahut zaroori hai warna millions ka loss ho sakta hai."

"Main kahin nahin jar aha hoon." He looked straight ahead at Khushi, his face unreadable.

Khushi walked towards the table, still confused as to why Arnav was behaving the way he was. Mami, noticing her entrance which was her cue, suddenly exclaimed, "Ee sab iss phati sari ki galto hai. Kyon? Itna bi senses naahi ki apni husbands ki favourite dish banao kabhi kabhi?"

"Par y-yeh sab ho k-kya raha hai?" Khushi stuttered, still confused.

Anjali caught on her cue with impeccable timing. She gently lead Khushi a little away. "Pata nahi Khushi ji, chotte ko ho kya gaya hai aaj. Zid pakad ke baithe hain ki kuch nahi khayenge." She tried to sound as innocent and convincing as possible.

Khushi still couldn't comprehend what would instigate Arnav to behave in such a way. "Pata hai Khushiji, jab Chotte chotte the na, to kabhi kabhi aise hi zid pakadke baith jaate the. Phir pata hai, hamari maa kya karti thi?" Anjali giggled.

"Kya?"

"Woh Chotte ke haath pair bandh kar unhe zabardasti khana khilane baith jaati thi." Anjali burst out laughing.

Khushi's face broke into an amused smile. Indeed, the visual of Arnav being tied up and then force fed was a hilarious one. But her smile disappeared almost as quickly as it had appeared, and worry replaced it on her face. She remembered the last two times he had gone without eating and had fainted. As much as she tried not to care, she knew she couldn't let him ruin his health like this. Not for him, she told herself, do it for Di. She shouldn't be so worried in this state. It's not good for her. Yes. For Di. And Nani. And Aakash jiju.

"Hum koshish karke dekhte hain," Khushi gave Anjali a reassuring smile, and walked towards Arnav. "Ar-Arnaviji kya hua? Aap khana kyun nahi kha rahe hain?" she managed to ask him while fiddling with her duppatta.

Arnav gave her his naughtiest smile. "Bas, mera mood nahi hai…" he was ecstatic that she'd come to him so soon.

Khushi snapped her head up, her eyes portraying rage. "What do you mean mood nahi hai? Aap samajhte kya hain apne aap ko? Aapko khaana hi hoga!"

"No."

Khushi was about to snap at him again, but then she froze and her eyes widened as she realized she was breaking her own promise to herself. Gathering herself together, she turned to the family and gave them a defeated shrug before turning back towards the kitchen.

Arnav gulped when he saw her preparing to leave. "NO! NO! NO!" he thought to himself, "No Khushi don't give up on me now, shit do something Raizada, quick!"

"Wait!" he suddenly called over her shoulder. Khushi reluctantly turned around. "I'll eat, but on one condition." He spoke to his family, trying to get them to play along. "Khushi will have to feed me with her hands."

Khushi gaped at her husband, wondering what had gotten into him today. He never ate from his own hands, forget anybody else's! Immediately, the family got to pestering her, Anjali and Nani begging her to make Chotte eat so he could have his medication, while Akash was telling her they were running late for a meeting. "Alright alright!" Khushi couldn't believe she was actually doing this!

Arnav smirked and leaned back on his chair, while Khushi started running around filling his plate. "Laad governer," she muttered under breath, then quickly scolded herself for calling him that name. But it hadn't gone unheard by Arnav whose smirk just widened as his heart filled with warmth hearing her call him by Laad Governer.

Khushi slowly went over to Arnav and stood in front of him, with a piece of puri in her hand. Scooping up a little curry with it, she held it near his mouth, waiting for him to respond. Arnav looked straight into Khushi's eyes and opened his mouth, lazily letting lips graze her finger tips. Khushi stiffened visibly, causing the family members to suppress fits of giggles before scampering off to leave the couple alone.

Khushi brushed away the immensely pleasurable discomfort she felt at his touch and continued to feed him, silently whimpering every time his mouth came in contact with her skin. Once his meal was done, Arnav silently stood up and put his arms around Khushi's waist, pulling her to himself much to her astonishment. "Thank you," he whispered huskily before kissing her right cheek, causing her involuntarily blush. Releasing her, he strode off towards his room.

Khushi, on the other hand, was trying hard to not hyperventilate. She cleaned up the dining table and scurried off to the kitchen, where she planned to make enough jalebis to last the Raizada house for a lifetime.

Precap: Arnav wants Khushi to come to his fashion show. Khushi refuses. How will Arnav convince Khushi?
