"Khushi, I'm sorry, just listen to me once, I love you, please don't do this, please mat jao na, main sab kuch theek kar doonga'" Arnav Singh Raizada was literally on his knees fighting hard to control the wall of tears threatening to break free in his eyes while his hysterically mad wife ran around the room throwing her things everywhere and flinging her clothes into her bags.
"Aap apne aap ko samajhte kya hain apne aap ko? Jab chaaha humse zabardasti shaadi karke hume hamari aukat dikhaya, aur jab chaha humse I love you bolke hume rok liya. Nahi chahiye hume aapke rahem ki pyaar!" Khushi fumed at him before continuing packing.
That did it for Arnav, getting up, he trapped her arms in his vice-like grip, forcing her to look him in the eye. "You think I just began loving you now!" He freed her hands and cupped her face. "Khushi I've loved you from the moment you fell into my arms in Lucknow! Sure, my stupid egoistic behavior never gave that away, but it's true! I've always loved you!"
"DON'T YOU DARE!" Khushi gave him a mighty shove which sent him staggering backwards. "Don't you EVER dare say that you love me. That word sounds filthy from your mouth. You love me? Forget love, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, if you had so much as a little respect for me, you would've thought a thousand times before even trying to put such a vile accusation on me!"
Arnav flinched. She was right. But how would he explain to her, that his heart always knew she would never do something like he had accused her of? How would he convince her the he knew all the time she was his, and that he was assuring his brain of the same by forcing her to marry him? He needed time. Given the right amount of time, he knew he could make Khushi change her mind.
Khushi meanwhile, was not done giving Arnav a piece of her mind. "You know what your problem is? You're too full of yourself. You make pathetic excuses of saving your family and ruin others' lives to satisfy your egoistic needs!" Khushi was screaming at the top of her lungs by this time. Arnav thanked his lucky stars that nobody else was home, or else all his secrets would've been out today.
Khushi had by now packed her bag and was heading towards the doors. Desperate to stop her, Arnav did what he did best. He switched to ASR mode. "Khushi, I didn't want to do this, but you've left me with no choice." The tone of his voice made Khushi turn around to face him. With unbelievable calm on his face, Arnav continued, "You agreed to a six month contract marriage with me. And there's is 6 weeks left. You can't leave before that."
Arnav expected Khushi to retaliate, yell, scream, cry, basically react like Khushi usually did. But instead, he just got a wry smile from her. "Aakhir aap apne aakat pe aa hi gaye." There was no emotion in her voice, just defeat. "Theek hai. 6 hafte. Lekin uske baad ek pal bhi nahi."
"Khushi'" Arnav's toned immediately mellowed when he realized how upset she was, "I just have one request. For these few weeks'can we please'try'just try to give our relationship a new fresh start. I'm begging you Khushi, just one chance." he took her hand in his and started rubbing soothing circles on it it with his thumb.
She yanked her hand back. "Did you give me a chance?" Arnav couldn't help but cringe from her icy glare. He was struggling for appropriate words. But before he could say anything else, Khushi barged back into the room and got herself resetting it before the family came back. He had to do something within these 6 weeks to make sure Khushi felt his love. To make sure Khushi stayed back to take her rightful place as his wife. To make sure Khushi received so much love, care and attention, that she'd never even think about leaving him ever again. She doesn't want me to say I love her. I will say it so many times everyday that she'll have to choice but to accept the fact, he decided.
