"Yeh traffic jam kab khatam hoga?"
"Pata nai sir. Baarish hogaye hai, ab hills mein aisa jam lag jaye toh ghantoon lag sakte hain."
"Ok." was all he could say.
He waited in his car for the roads to clear and gazed at his surroundings.
Dalhousie was truly a beautiful hill station; Lush green hills, cool breeze and the rain; Amazing weather.
He belonged to Delhi but was here for a meeting and now because of this traffic jam he might be late.
Fiddling with his cell phone, he heard a women calling for a cab. He looked at her closely from his car window. She was standing on the other side of the road, clad in a sari which was now completely drenched. Her long brown curls were half wet, blowing in the wind.
"Taxi!" she called for the third time but no one stopped.
He got up from his car with an umbrella and went towards the lady.
"Hi!" he said while she turned around to see a man dressed in black suit and wearing frameless glasses.
She looked at his dark black eyes which met with her light brown pair.
"Yes?" she replied.
"I can drop you if you don't mind." he answered while indicating his car.
"No. Its ok." she answered softly.
Her sweet gently voice was like music to his ears.
"I saw you standing here for quite some time. The weather isn't good. You are already soaked. Please, I insist." he said in a convincing manner.
"Ok." she replied while he took her to his car and opened the back door for her, in a perfect gentleman like manner.
"Thank You." she said while sitting down while he opened the opposite door for himself.
"I am Swayam." he said giving a smile.
"I am Sharon." she said silently.
Both of them shook hands and stared at each other's eyes for a while till Sharon broke the spell and looked away.
"I'll tell you the way." she told the driver after a brief moment of silence.
The roads were slowly getting cleared and the rain almost subsided.
Swayam saw her shivering. It was definitely chilly and on top of that she was completely drenched. He took a shawl from the back seat and placed it around her shoulders. She gazed at him when his fingers touched her soft cool skin.
"Thank You." she said and looked away from his eyes which seemed to be quite captivating.
Within half an hour, the car was outside Sharon's place; a huge house with a beautiful lawn in front.
"Lovely house." Swayam said while she just smiled.
"Why don't you come over for coffee?" she offered while getting down from the car.
"Umm..No. Thanks. I have a meeting."
"Ok. Thank You." she replied and moved towards the entrance.
But she stopped after taking a few steps ahead and looked back at Swayam who just smiled. She smiled and turned back moving towards her place.
Swayam came out of his car and looked at her retreating figure.
He saw a small girl rushing to Sharon.
"Mumma! I missed you a lot." the little girl said cutely, while Sharon picked her up in her arms and gave a light peck on her cheeks.
"Mumma missed you too honey!" she smiled and then went inside her house.
Swayam still stood outside his car, his eyes still gazing at the entrance.
"Sharon." he whispered and smiled.
