SAGA OF THE BEGINNING
It is said that the past designs the present and the present constructs the future. The idea finds its way back to many many thousand years. It was such a time where a lot of things happened which we in present science era calls myth and fantasy. But no, the gods and goddesses are all real and the human beings were not always their devotees or so called child.
This is such a love story which changed the course of nature and with that affected drastically the mankind. Oh no! Did I just call it a story?? This is very much real where the love of a goddess and a human created such a wave that one can still bathe in that divine glorious shining ocean of light.
Let's take you to that romantic adobe which ended in...
ANCIENT INDIA, MANY MANY THOUSAND YEARS BACK
It was a beautiful morning. The mighty sun and the beautiful moon were busy in the sky teasing each other. They were siblings after all. Lord Aditya was the god of sun and Devi Chandrika was the moon goddess- the son and daughter of mother of the creation Lady Srishti. It used to be a different period- the sun and moon used to shine at the same time in the sky. The barrier of day and night did not separate them. Lady Srishti gave the eastern sky to Lord Aditya and the northern sky to Devi Chandrika. But Lord Aditya was always more powerful than Devi Chandrika; the reason lied in one law of Lady Srishti-
"Love shall make thou stronger in all ways"
Devi Roshni, the fire goddess was the love of Lord Aditya. But Devi Chandrika was alone, and she was happy with whatever she was. She was never jealous of her brother; she was rather happy for him. She was also very fond of Devi Roshni and was quite friendly with her. Everything was perfect; but "CHANGE" was another law of nature.
"Change will come invariably and thou shall not deny it"
Let us go back to the morning where the story had begun. That day Lord Aditya was lost in Devi Roshni's bright eyes and was murmuring some appraisal which made her blush. Devi Chandrika was seeing this going on for some time. She could not stop herself from giggling and said-"Aditya, I guess that you seem to be getting little bit more overwhelmed in Devi Roshni's eyes every day. Why don't you look any where else? Or the mighty sun god has nothing better to do than drooling over his lady love!!! Devi Roshni, are you keeping my brother from his great responsibilities?? I hope not, then the love birds will not be seen lost in each other's arms' ahem ahem I mean to say eyes in such romantic passion!!! What will the world say? What will mother say?? "
Adiyta looked at her in false anger and then said in a detached tone-"Roshni, you know I so look forward to something but unfortunately not even I can make that happen!"
-"Oww, and what that will be brother?"
-"Dear sister, I am still waiting for that auspicious day when I will have the chance, no actually the honour to say such beautiful words to you which you say frequently to me and Roshni."
Chandrika now burst out into laugh-"I think you will have to wait forever."
-"We shall see."
-"Okay, enough Aditya. I think now you should see this." -interjected Devi Roshni.
She was pointing to a man on the earth plane. He was bathing in the mighty river Ganges. He was immersed in deep water and in folded hands was offering prayers to the sun god. Chandrika saw her brother was looking at the man with fond eyes and smiling slightly. She became interested and asked- "Who is he? And why are you looking with such fondness?"
Devi Roshni answered-"he is your brother's most devoted follower, Maharaja Dhimaan. I had never seen him miss the prayer for one day, even when he is ill. Aditya is very fond of him and always protects him in every way."
Chandrika now turned to have a good look at Maharaja Dhimaan. He was in his early 30's. He had light wheat colourd complexion with a well built body. His eyes were closed in concentration; water was dripping from his black hair, which was a little messed up. Little droplets were covering his muscular chest. She was staring intently at him when he opened his eyes and looked towards the sky. Chandrika felt as if he was looking straight at her eyes. For some unknown reason she blushed for the first time in her life.
This didn't go unnoticed from Devi Roshni's eyes. She elbowed Lord Aditya and whispered-"I think Devi Chandrika is now totally lost in someone's eyes. What do you think?"
-"Roshni now I believe that being a god does not mean that we had seen everything! Many unusual events can still happen every day. Umm Chandrika, seeing something interesting?"
-"No, Aditya, I was just curious about your great devotee. Nothing more than that."
Devi Roshni said- "Actually you still had a problem there Chandrika. The man you are looking at had vowed celibacy for the honour of your brother. So he is unavailable forever."
Chandrika now said in a harsh tone- "Only of he had known how he mighty and glorious sun god wastes most of his time over his lady. Someone should have told him the truth. And Devi Roshni, I think as much resolute as he can be; there is always a good chance that even he can also fall in love, provided he finds his soul mate."
-"And what knowledge you have about soul mates Devi Chandrika?"
-"Soul mate is the perfect counterpart of your true love which you can recognize even if you are in the middle of millions. That very person completes you to the core, your very essence lies with him."
-"My sister had turned into the love philosopher with one look at Dhimaan. Interesting'.. okay, if you can make him believe in these words you just said, I promise I will come to him personally and bless him and his soul mate, provided he had to believe also that it is you"
-"Are you challenging me, Aditya?"
-"Think whatever you like of my words. But let's see if you had the charm in you or your cold heart had clouded that too. You can play the game if you dare!"
-"I agree. You are about to lose your greatest follower to me. Very soon he will be seen praying at the altar of moon goddess." Saying this Devi Chandrika smiled and disappeared to be in somewhere else at the sky.
