Still as powerful and ruthless as ever, a man with a hardened heart, this is what Arnav Singh Raizada looked like to the eyes of an outsider. The pain and loss would easily go unnoticed unless you take a moment to gaze into those pained brown eyes. It has been 5 years now since she landed into his life disastrously and disappeared ever so silently. Many a times he was asked by his family 'Why he ever let her go?', it was known to everyone that with a little persuading she would have stayed back. No one had the answers to these questions except Arnav.
Arnav knew that he had caused Khushi all the sorrow and pain he could, he had dragged her out and exposed her to a world of wickedness and tears. He had no right to expect her to stay back and pretend like everything was perfectly alright. He could never expect her to love him after he had brought her world crashing down. So he let her go, he released her and never asked for a pinch of love, he had let her go he now considered himself a ruthless monster who only knew how to bring darkness and agony into a perfectly happy persons world. After she had, initially he started believing that it was possible to move on and let her be happy. He thought his love for her will eventually vanish but none of that happened. Neither did his love diminish nor did her memories abandon him. He was now a man clutching on to the remnants of her presence and living secretly in her memories. They made him survive and allowed him to breathe. Erasing her memories was impossible so he treasured everything about her and lay in bed every night holding on to that one dream he found so impossible to let go.
After 5 long years miraculously, fate again allowed Arnav to see the one person who he wished he could get over, after 5 long years he saw the girl whose world he had crushed, the one he had let go with a hope of letting her smile. Time changes and so does love, he realized that his love was no longer the same, he realized that he had been wrong all along. Standing before him was not the girl he had stopped loving but was the one he had fallen more deeply and irrevocably in love with.
