Arnav stood there watching Khushi, with her eyes closed, hands clutching the ends of her dupatta, tears flowing down her eyes.. Arnav felt the punch in his stomach. How much had he made her suffer, she was no more the Khushi Kumari Gupta whom he admired all thanks to him and his temper. Khushi waited for Arnav to begin yelling and when she realized that he hadn't spoken a word ever since banging the door, she slowly gathered courage and opened her eyes. She saw Arnav looking at her with worry. He put his hands on her shoulder and asked, "Khushi, tum theek ho?" she looked alarmed and rushed to the bedroom and flung herself on the bed crying ferociously. Arnav was confused.. what was happening, why did she just run away and then he saw the letter in his hand, read it and understood her fear. She feared that he would not trust her and call her a gold digger yet again.

He let her be for sometime and then ordered for some quick lunch. Once the lunch arrived, he went up to Khushi and found her asleep. Deciding against waking her up, he just called up Aman, postponing his remaining meetings to the next day and lay down on the bed after changing. Khushi woke up to a grumbling stomach and realized, she had, once again, slept comfortably in Arnav's arms hugging him. She woke up gently, found the food on the dining table, warmed it and then tried to wake up Arnav.

Both of them silently finished the food and Khushi went to freshenup. Arnav was wondering what he could do to make her comfortable, she wasn't the one to be impressed with costly gifts. Gifts!!! He remembered the party tonight.

"Khushi," Khushi jumped in fear as soon as she heard him call her name. "Ji Arnavji?" she was scared. "Khushi, you remember that we have to go for that dinner tonight. Don't you? We have three hours to go. Do you want to come out with me or do you wish to just stay back here and relax? He said very casually. They decided to stay back with Arnav on his laptop and Khushi watching a Salman Khan movie which did change her mood for the better.

At the party, everyones eyes were on this hot young couple. Arnav Singh Raizada and the petite Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. Arnav held her hand reassuring her so that she does not get intimidated with the people and the theme. The party finished off quite late and while returning, Arnav asked the driver to halt the car some distance before the hotel gates. Holding her hand, Arnav took her to the beach. It was dark and cold. Signaling her to take off her sandal's, Arnav wrapped his coat around her and hands entwined, they both walked bare foot on the beach, taking in the moonlight which shone in full. They walked as if in trance and then sat on the sand, Khushi in his arms for quite a long time, watching their parents shining in the sky.

This was the time, Arnav decided, to speak his heart out to Khushi. He took her hand in his and she looked up from his shoulders where her head was resting some time back. "Khushi, I want to talk to you. Rather, confess to you" he said softly. She sat back, upright, worried about what he wanted to talk. "you wanted to know why I married you right? I married you because I thought you and Shyam were having an affair." He looked at her, her face changing from worry to extreme fear. He decided to let her take in what he just said. "Ar... Arnavji... Arnavji, this is not true.." she was totally scared now. Arnav looked into her eyes and said, "I know. I know this now. " and he narrated the entire story about how he had come to express his heart and the rest was history. Khushi was, by now, composed and let him continue. "Have you done with your confession Arnavji?" she asked him dryly. "No Khushi, the most important confession is yet to come," he said nervously, "Khushi, I love you".
