PART 2: PAGE 9
His eyes fluttered open to an astonishing dream.A dream that ticked his brain into a whirlpoolof question. Arnav jerked away the blanket that draped over him and stepped on the marble floor.
'Khushi .. where was she? He thought for a second .His eyes darted towards the poolside and his breathing took a setback. She lay there sleeping soundly oblivious to the world.
The air smelled of fragrance from the numerous flowers in his garden , the leaves floated in the wind that played softly round as the morning sunshine added its aura to the beautiful surroundings. And amongst the beauty of mother nature she slept beside the waters . Happily.
Arnav stood there motionless for those moments gve him joy. And the next few moments he mrched towards her speedily as if time played was playing against him.
Bending down he called out to her sharply
" khushi"
She twitched at the sound but couldn't jolt herself from her subconscious state. A weak smile came upon her lips.
"Khushi, get up . I need to talk to you.", his voice roared .
" Who is the- lard gover-", she mumbled softly, imagining herself to be in a dream.
He moved close to her, cluthing her arms tightly as he always did when his anger overpowered his senses . He moved one hand towards the gleaming waters that danced in the morning sunshine and splashed the drops over her face.
She blinked her eyes again and again jolting back and forth from her beautiful dream.
"Yes .its the lard governor.Now get up", he spoke softly this time.
Her heart skipped beats as she realized , she was lying in his arms. A distant vague memory clashed in her brain.
'Had they been in such a position before.Had he looked into her eyes this way before. Had they felt their heartbeats synchronise together?'
They both stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds as the moment stretched into eternity.
Slowly khushi pushed herself away,uncomfortable t this closeness s her cheeks tainted themseselves into a scarlet shade.
"What happened ? Why are you calling me out ?", she demanded .
"Khushi, I have to talk something-"
" Is everything okay?Is everyone allright?", her heart beated faster than ever. Why else would he wake her up this way?.
"No..", the word tumbled out from his lips before he could think.
" What' Tell me . is jiji fine?amma babuji? ",her frail voice quivered .
"I mean yes. Its all fine.", he assured her, remembering his 'No'and how he had got her worried.
"I have to talk about-", He closed his eyes ." Jeejaji".
How he once respected his name and honour, and now it came out with despise and seething anger.
Khushi froze at her placing. Her mind went blank.
' What had he done now?'
