Bigg Boss 19: Daily Discussion Thread- 22nd Sept 2025.
Arnav watched her as she did her evening puja, her dupatta covering her head.
He had been seeing her for months now, doing this. But each time he couldn't help gaze at her peaceful face as she prayed. First thing in the morning and last thing at night, she talked to her Devi Maiya and prayed to her.
She carried Devi Maiya's idol, no matter where she travelled. She also carried a little diya and match box and agarbattis, oil and a small box of dry fruits for prashad, wherever she went. She would perform her evening aarti without fail.
It amazed him to see Khushi's faith in God. Hadn't she suffered as much as him in life if not more? Being a girl child, poor and being an orphan was more difficult than his own situation. He had at least had a rich nana and nani.
Moreover, the way he had married her should have killed all the faith in her. There was also Shyam's deception.
But Khushi had so much faith in God, while his had been killed at 15. They never questioned each other's faith or the lack of it. But he knew Khushi was disappointed in this aspect of him though he knew she loved him, despite this. He knew that she felt sad he never bowed down in front of Devi Maiya. Never came to pujas unless forced. Never gave in to her incessant demands to come with her to temples, if he could help it.
Today he wanted to ask her, because it made him curious and it would help him know more about her. Moreover, he knew when she prayed she was completely lost to him and he did not exist for those few minutes. It made him kind of left out.
So when she came to put the Prasad in his mouth, something she never failed to do, he caught her hand and pulled her close. "Khushi, are you done with praying?"
She nodded, "Yes. Why?"
He simply pulled her into his lap and asked her, "Khushi will you tell me something. Why do you believe so much in God?"
She was surprised at his question and she said as much, "What kind of question is that? I just do."
Arnav persisted, "But why? God took away so much from you when you lost your parents at 8. He took away your dream marriage when I forced you. You had to deal with a monster like Shyam. What keeps your faith ticking?"
Khushi looked at him intently and asked, "Arnav first tell me why you don't have faith in God. Is it for the same reasons you just told me?"
Arnav looked away, his face reflecting pain, "Yes for a lot of reasons I don't believe in God. Look what happened to my mother. She used to pray day and night. Look what happened to Di. She got a husband like Shyam.
Look what happened to me when I did not even become old enough to earn this kind of punishments. It's foolish to believe in God and expect him to give you happiness or grant your wishes. You must not wait for all this. Just keep planning your life and living it the way you want. And yet I am surprised you believe so much when you have suffered as much as me. Why Khushi?"
Khushi cupped his face lovingly and asked, "Arnav would you stop loving either of your parents because of something they did?"
Arnav shook his head.
Khushi continued, "Would you stop loving your parents because they did not give you a good life?"
Again Arnav shook his head.
Khushi said, "To me God is that parent with whom I can never be angry. To me Devi Maiya is my original parent and I know she has not been fair to me sometimes. But to me God is like any other relationship where you need to forgive and forget and love. Like any other relationship we should not demand or expect but just love, especially because in this case God is just as loving to us. Like any other relationship we should be selfless enough to love for the sake of love. I love Devi Maiya like that."
Arnav looked at Khushi with fresh admiration and a warm understanding. He now understood what made her so beautiful inside-out. They shared a moment of quiet contentment each thinking of the other's perspective of life and ideals. They were so different and so united.
Khushi was the first to break the silence and say, "Anyway I think my whole life's problems came to an end when I found you. So you see Devi Maiya did not fail me."
Arnav smiled at her and said, "You know your Devi Maiya did not fail me either. She gave you to me, "and then he touched her stomach thinking of their unborn child, "and hopefully in 3 more months she will give me one more blessing."
'Yes," she said and covered his hand with hers, feeling the joy of being able to give him a beautiful gift. "You should thank Devi Maiya for the gift," she said.
"Yeah I thank her. But can I take some credit," he asked her teasingly.
She blushed as she said, "Of course you can. But the miracle is all hers," she insisted.
Arnav gave her a mock angry look, "How is that? If I had not been able to you know, ahem ahem, perform, how would this miracle be created?"
Khushi blushed again, this time a deeper red, "I mean yes'I mean you are responsible but nothing ever happens without her will."
Arnav smiled into her eyes," I know what you mean so you stop blushing Khushi. I don't know why your Devi Maiya gave me to you. But if she is the one who gave you to me, I am more than thankful to her."
'No Arnav. You always underestimate yourself. You think you are a ruthless devil, a ruthless businessman, someone who walks over people's hearts and never cares. But I won't let yourself believe in this.
Have you ever realized why you shoulder so many responsibilities? Because you care for your family.
Have you realized how very caring and tender you are to me? Because you love me.
Have you counted the number of sacrifices you have made for Anjali Di and never noticed? Because you love her.
Have you counted the number of children's education funds you support? Because you want to give the poor a chance to rise
You have believed you are a devil and would like to believe this for your own self-preservation. But I have understood long ago that your heart is in the right place and even you can't convince me otherwise."
Arnav smiled at her and said, "You really are biased Mrs Raizada."
Khushi said "So be it Mr Raizada," and gave him a lomg lingering kiss which soon led to so much more...
