Chapter 12 Part 1: Next day in early morning in Verma Palace: Mukti has bathe and is ready for going to college. She gets up early in the morning so that she could not get late. She is in the balcony which is attached to her room. She stands there, caressing her hair. Suddenly she sees a magazine lying on the floor. She picks it and starts reading. Her eyes suddenly stop at a piece of poetry and she recalls Moksh saying a poem when they met and he was apologising in a poetic manner too. All of a sudden she starts having flashes of her past: A boy gives a copy to a girl and then leaves. The girl reads something in the copy and smiles. She starts singing... Mukti also starts singing: "I remember the day When I met you, I remember the day When you were there Standing in the sunshine, I was too standing unknown To the feeling that went through Me... And now that we are facing each other, There is something I want to feel... I want to be there, With you, I want to be there When time passes by, Looking at you... When each..." She stops singing as she feels as if someone must be there who is standing there, near her, Mukti - Who is there? And she turns around to see the person. Mukti - Amm... Papa? Mr. Verma – Good morning dear! Mukti – Morning! Mr Verma comes closer to her. Mr. Verma – I didn't know that you sing. Really you have a melodious voice! Mukti looks shy. Mr. Verma - By the way, how do you come to know that I was standing behind you? Mukti looks worried. She has no answer for it. Initially she thinks to tell the true reason but then says: "Daughters can feel the presence of their fathers" They hug. At Roy Mansion: Moksh is still sleeping. Mohan enters the room. He sits beside Moksh and looks at him and smiles. Mohan – This boy is still sleeping! He looks at a copy that Moksh is holding tightly and is smiling as if he is dreaming of heaven. Mohan looks curious. And out of curiosity, he takes the copy from him and reads. Many poems have been written in it. First he doubts that Moksh has written the poems but then it's his handwriting and thus no doubt, he has written all of them. He reads one of them silently: "I am lost in your eyes; Shining like a moon in a dark night, I am lost in your smile; Seems as if I am standing in the moonlight, I am totally lost, totally lost I am, Lost in your beauty; That hardly described can be, I am lost in the feeling, I am deep in love, I love you so much that, We were given life again by the almighty above, Now I am sure, there may be a hurdle, Between our path of love and affection, And after hurdles, might be death, But still life is further, Because we are truly made for each other..." As he completes reading, Moksh wakes up and sees the book in Mohan's hands. He quickly stands up and snatches it and places it in his wardrobe. He looks worried and Mohan looks puzzled. Mohan – Err.. I didn't know that you are such a nice poet... Moksh (talking to himself) – Even I didn't! Mohan – Excuse me? Moksh – Err... I am just trying to write a few. Mohan – oh... Err... Come breakfast is ready. Moksh nods.
