Chapter 17

Recap: War of Dance

They toured New York the next morning as their flight was only in the evening.

"Hey Kria!! Come join us in the photo. You've already taken so many photos of the three of us without you!" Sharon said. "Nah, I'm good." Kria said, but Sharon gave the camera to Justin and pulled Kria by the hand. She made Kria stand near Rey and she went and stood beside Swayam. "Okay, Say cheese!" Justin said. "Cheeesssee!!" the four of them screamed. Justin clicked a photo. Sharon ran to see how the photo had come out. "Wow, this is perfect. Thanks man!" Sharon told Justin. "You're welcome." Justin said and smiled. Then they had to go back to their hotel rooms and get ready to go back to Miami.

In the aircraft, Sharon was going to sit with Kria but Kria pushed Sharon so hard that she ended up falling on Swayam. Her cheeks turned red. "I'm so sorry!!" Sharon said to Swayam, getting up and straightening her skirt. Kria couldn't help smiling at their cuteness. "Kria, you're smiling? You idiot!! You pushed me towards him and now you don't wanna make place for me to sit?"Sharon asked, pretending to be angry. "No, either you sit near Swayam or you don't sit at all. Because all the seats are full. And if you don't sit, you'll fall onto the floor of the plane when we take off!" Kria said,smirking. Sharon looked at Kria for a second, "I'll get back at you. I'm warning you!" Sharon said jokingly, proceeding towards where Swayam was sitting. "Hey Sway! Mind if I sit with you?" Sharon asked, in a flirty mode. "No, not at all. Why would I?" Swayam asked, making a mental note to thank Kria later.

Finally they arrived to their hometown, Miami. "No matter where you go, it always feels good to be home." Kria commented. "You're right about that." Sharon said. They left for their homes and had a good night sleep.

Next day in school, all they were talking about was the Fall Dance which took place in very few schools. SVH was one such school. Wherever Kria went, she heard all of them talk about the Fall Dance. In school, it was everybody and at home It was Aashi , constantly talking about the Dance as if it was her wedding day. It annoyed Kria to a huge extent. But she didn't say anything.

During Chemistry, Kria and Rey were lab partners( I know I never mentioned it before) but since they were not talking to each other apart from homework and dance class, they found it hard. "So who are you going with?" Rey asked Kria, when they were supposed to be doing the experiment. "Going where? Could you please do that carefully? I don't want to lose the 20% marks." Kria said, asking Rey to stir the solution slowly. Rey slowed the speed. "The Fall Dance. Where else?" Rey asked. "Will everybody stop talking about the Fall Dance already? And why do you care who I go with? And what were you trying to ask me the other day in the fire exit?" Kria asked, looking at her book to see if she is doing the experiment correctly. "Kria! I'm just trying to make conversation. And who are you going with? Is he someone I know? And that day at the fire exit'." Rey started. "Reyansh and Kria. Will you please do the work without talking?" the teacher asked. "Sorry Mr.Smith, but he was telling me to add a little more of CaCO₃ . I was just telling him I added the correct amount." Kria said. "Okay, do the work properly." The teacher said. "Did you really defend me now, Kria?" Rey asked after the teacher went forward. "I told that because if I had told him what we were talking about, both of us would have got detention. I've never got detention in my life. Please don't make me get into one." Kria said. "Wow, that's great. But Detention would have been fun." Rey said. Kria looked at him with a straight face and then looked back at her book. "For you. Not for me. And don't you have to take your wonderful girlfriend to the Fall Dance soon? And she told me you're going to dinner before the dance. And on a date after school for a snack. I don't want to ruin your special time." Kria said. "REYANSH and KRIA! STOP TALKING!" Mr.Smith shouted. "Sorry!" Kria and Rey said. "Why do you love so much about me Kria?" Rey asked. "LOVE? Who the hell told you that? Love is something far away. We're not even proper friends." Kria said. "Then why did you wear the chain to the War of Dance?" Rey asked. Kria didn't know what to answer. "That..that..t..t." Kria stammered, when the teacher screamed at them. "REYANSH AND KRIA!! You're both getting detention!!" Mr.Smith said,handing both of them a slip. The bell rang. "Are you happy now? You got me into detention. Thanks a lot." Kria said, and rushed out of class taking her books and bag. Rey smiled at her cutely angry mood.

At lunch, all of them sat together as usual. "Hey, Kria. I need to get this hair clip to match my dress. Will you come with me after school?" Sharon asked. "Well. I can't." Kria said. "WHY????" Sharon asked, in super hyper mode. "I got detention." Kria said. "HOW?" Swaron asked, because they knew that Kria never got detention till now. "All thanks to your best friend, Reyansh Singhania." Kria said, annoyed. "Hm..I'll miss you in shopping." Sharon said. "Sharon..!!" Kria whined. Swayam and Sharon smiled at each other. After lunch, they returned back to their own classes.

After school, Kria waved bye to Sharon and Swayam. "See you at the dance!" Swaron said. Kria nodded, and she went to the class where people sat for Detention. Rey was already waiting and he waved when Kria entered. Kria gave a sarcastic smile and sat next to him because that was the only place vacant. She took her book out and started studying. But Rey wouldn't let her study. He started showering her with questions. "What time are you coming to the dance?" Rey asked. Kria didn't answer. "Should I pick you up?" Rey asked. Kria didn't answer. She kept looking at her book,pretending to study. He kept asking her questions till she got irritated. "No! I don't need your help alright. I am an independent girl and I know what to do. So thanks for your concern." Kria said so low that only Rey could hear. The teacher finally left them. When Kria got up from her chair, Rey asked her. "So you didn't tell me who you are going with?" Kria put her books in her bag, hung it over her shoulder, turned to look at Rey. "Why do you want to know?" Kria asked, and went from the class. She drove home.

Finally, the night of the Fall Dance was there. Kria came home from work early at around 8. She went into her room and found Aashi sitting on her dressing table chair. "Hey, hasn't Rey come yet?" Kria asked. "No, he is on his way. I've selected a dress for you to wear." Aashi said. "What? I already chose a dress from my closet!" Kria said. "I didn't like it much. You can wear my dress. It'll look good on you." Aashi said, handing her the dress. "Shut up Aashi!" kria said, trying to open the dress section of her closet but it wouldn't open. "Aashi, did you lock it?" Kria asked. "Yes, I did! You have no choice but to wear this. Kria didn't have any other choice but to wear the dress. She went and changed but she was feeling very uncomfortable. It was a very short dress, not even knee length, with transparent straps. "Aashi, how do you expect me to go to the dance wearing this?" Kria asked. "Don't kid me. You look hot." Aashi said. "Well, I don't like wearing such short clothes. You know that." Kria argued. "Nothing's gonna happen to you if you wear it once." Aashi replied. "Fine fine!" Kria said, irritated to the core. She put on a pair of heels and curled her hair, put on a chain and a matching pair of earrings. Aashi had already left. Kria heard someone knock on the door. She knew it was Justin. She opened the jackets section of her closet and took the jacket which first came to her hand and rushed downstairs. "Hey, sorry I'm late." Kria said,smiling. "No problem! You look different. I've never seen you wear such short clothes before." Justin said. "Me neither. Aashi lent it to me. It's a long story. She locked my closet and all. I'll tell you on the way to the dance." Kria said. They finally reached the venue. Kria put on her jacket, or more of a hoodie. "Hey, I've seen that jacket somewhere before!" Justin said, while escorting Kria. Kria looked down to see what jacket she was wearing. "Oh my god! How could you wear HIS jacket Kria? Couldn't you have what you were taking?" Kria thought to herself. "Well, actually a friend gave this to me." Kria said, smiling. Once they went in, Sharon and Swayam came flocking to them. "Hey, kria! Where did you get that dress? I didn't see anything like that in your closet!" Sharon said. She looked really pretty wearing a red dress. "Well yea, I'll tell you the story later." Kria said. Kria felt very inconvenient. She didn't take the jacket off because she felt that if she removed it, it would be very revealing. Aashi and Rey joined them. He looked at her jacket. "Hey, isn't that jacket m..?" rey began but kria cut him. "You look nice rey!" She said. "Thanks you too!" Rey said. "Everybody on the dance floor!" someone shouted. Everybody started dancing to groovy songs. Then a slow number played.

Sharon and Swayam were dancing very intimately. They looked adorable. "Don't they look adorable?" Kria asked Justin, who was slow dancing too but not like Aashi-Rey. "Yea they do. They should go out." Justin said. "Yea, I've been thinking of that too!" Kria said. Then they turned and Kria saw Aashi hugging Rey so tight. She flinched. It could have been her doing that. She felt a tear escape her eyes. Rey saw her. Both of them kept staring at each other for so long that they didn't realize that the next song had started.

As the songs kept changing, they turned a lot. Suddenly Kria and Rey bumped. Kria turned back to see and so did Rey. They kept looking at each other for sometime till Aashi took him to do the fast number. Then after a while of not being able to see Aashi and Rey together, she excused herself from there. She went to the drinks section. There were no alcoholic drinks. Kria knew that. "One Green Magic please!" Kria said. Some guy came and sat near her. "Hey hottie!" he said. "Excuse me?" Kria asked. "You look hot! Wanna dance with me?" the guy asked. "No thanks." Kria said. She went to find Swaron but they were no where to be seen. When Kria came back the drink was ready, and the guy was no where to be seen. "Thankgod he left!" Kria said. She drank the mocktail. "Can i get one more?" Kria asked. The bartender handed it over to her. She drank it while watching Rey and Aashi dance so slowly. She began to feel light headed.

Nice update dear.

I like the part during the chemistry lab session when rey was trying to talk to Kria. But why she is showing him so much attitude??? Yeh ladki bhi nah ouff.

Finally the fall dance came. Grrr iss Aashi ka kuch karo yaar. Having a close and chipku dance with Rey.

N the precap quite suprising. Is Kria drunk or wat?

However i dont think that its kria who is saying this to Rey.
