Kria was a 15 year old girl, soon to be 16.Kria made her bed, did her daily routine and put on a white t-shirt and her favorite Blue hoodie. She had been living in Miami from when she was born. Being a good girl, she never did anything which her family hated. She used to study in Miami Beach High School, but since it was really far away, we planned on switching to Sea View High School. Sea View High School was one of the most famous schools and Aashi's dream school. She was so excited since she was going to be a junior in High School but the only thing she hated about changing school was friends. "Will I make new friends?" Kria wondered. She combed her straight black hair, put on her bag and went downstairs to the dining table. "Good morning Mom, Good Morning Dad!" Kria said, sitting on her usual chair. "Good Morning honey!" Kria's (Aashi's) Mom said. She started eating her sandwich when she noticed that someone was missing. "Dad, where's Aashi?" Kria asked. "Well, she went to school already. She said she's walking to school. She waited for you till 8:15 but then she left." Dad said. Kria looked at the time. 8:45!!!! She freaked out. She took the sandwich in her hand and waved bye to her parents and her (Aashi's) little sister, Aisha. "Kria! Wait! Dad'll drop you!" Mom said. "But Mom,Dad's busy reading the newspaper!" Kria said. "Nikhil! Go and drop Kria!" Mom said. "Okay, Kritika!" Dad said. He got up and started the car. Kria got inside the car and continued eating her sandwich . Finally they reached school. "Thanks Dad!" Kria said, and got out of the car. "No problem Kria. Have a nice day!" Dad said, and drove back. Kria looked at the big board which said SEA VIEW HIGH SCHOOL- HOME OF THE WILDCATS! She smiled and started searching for Aashi. She finally found her. Kria ran to Aashi and slapped her on the back. "Couldn't you wait for me?" Kria asked. "I called you so many times. But then I thought you slept in the bathroom!" Aashi said. They giggled and then went inside. They found the office and went inside it. They handed their forms to the lady sitting there and got their Schedule and locker combination. After they kept their books in the locker, they met each other again.

"What do you have first?" Aashi asked Kria. "Well, I have World History in Block B! What about you?" Kria asked. "I have English in this Block." Aashi replied. "Okay, then I better go and search for the classroom. Bye. See you at Lunch." Kria said, and walked to the next block. She asked a girl about the classroom . "Thanks!" she said, and ran up the stairs. She found the class and sat on an empty seat. The bell rang and the teacher entered. "Hello, and welcome. I hope you all had a good vacation! I'm Arnold Garcia, your world history teacher." Mr Garcia said. He looked at Kria. "Are you new here?" he asked. Kria nodded. "Then come and introduce yourself to the class." Mr.Garcia said. Kria hesitated a bit and then got up. "Hey everyone. I'm Kria. And I'm from Miami Beach High School!" Kria said. No one said anything. Mr Garcia asked her to return to her seat. Then the class started. "World History is not that boring here." Kria thought. After 45 minutes, the bell rang. Kria got up to leave when someone called her name. She turned to see a girl, an Indian wave to her. "Hi, I am Sharon. I thought you'd want to be friends." She said. "That would be awesome!" Kria said, smiling. She walked with Sharon to her locker. "Wow, what a coincidence? Yours and my locker are only two lockers away from each other." Kria said. "Yea, so what do you have next?" Sharon asked. "I have Algebra with mrs. Anderson. What about you?" Kria asked. "Too bad we don't have Algebra together. I have Creative writing. So I'll meet you in lunch." Sharon said, and walked away. Kria was so excited to have made a new friend. She went to her classroom smiling.

Chapter 2:

Recap: Kria and Sharon meet.

Two more periods passed by and then everyone's favorite Lunch finally arrived. Kria took her lunch tray and searched for a place to sit.

"Hey, Kria! Over here!" someone shouted. Kria turned to see Sharon waving to her. Kria went near Sharon and thanked her for saving a seat. "No problem. But my friend would be coming here too. Her name is Kaycee." Sharon said. "Yea, no problem. Do you mind if my sister sits here too?" Kria asked. "Not at all. Why would I?" Sharon asked. Then she saw Kaycee coming with a girl. "Oh, there's Kaycee!" Sharon said. "Woa.. and she's coming with Aashi!" Kria said. "Aashi?" Sharon looked puzzled. "Yeah, that's my sis Aashi!" Kria said. "Oh wow! That's awesome!" Sharon said. Kria waved to Aashi when she sat next to her. "Hey Kaycee! This is Kria!" Sharon said, introducing Kria to Kaycee. "I know! Aashi just told me about you. You're living in her house right?" Kaycee asked. " Well..yea!" Kria said. "What? Kria! Why?" Sharon asked. "It's a long story! I'll tell you some other time." Kria said. Sharon didn't ask her anything more about her family since she felt that it was something serious. They started talking about various things. "Hey, where are the guys?" Kaycee asked. "Well, they came from Mexico only last night. So I guess they'll come only tomorrow." Sharon said. "Wow! They have guy friends too. Maybe they'd want to be friends with me too." Kria wondered. "Oh, why did they go to Mexico?" Aashi asked. "They had this Basketball match. I don't know whether they won though. The guys didn't say anything." Sharon said. "Oh okay!" Aashi said, smiling. They kept talking for some more time and then they went back to their classes. The day went on and finally school ended. Kria was taking her books out of her locker when Sharon came running to her and asked, "Kria! I almost forgot. Do you like dancing?" "Ofcourse I do!! Why?" Kria asked. "Awesome. Then you might want to come to dance class with me!" Sharon said. "Cool. But where?" Kria asked. "Here. At school. We have dance classes after school for an hour on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays! If you want to come, I'll give your name to Ms.Martinez, our dance teacher. She's such a sweetheart." Sharon said. Kria thought for a while. "Well, I've never been to dance classes before, so I'll give it a try. I'll come with you for enrolling." Kria said, smiling. "Yay! That's awesome! I love you!" Sharon said, and hugged Kria. They were leaving when Aashi and Kaycee joined them. "Aashi, do you want to come to dance classes with me and Sharon?" Kria asked. "Nah, I'm not interested for now." Aashi said. Kria shrugged. "What about you Kaycee?" Aashi asked. "No, I'm not in for dancing." Kaycee said. "Okay, then, wait for me Aashi. I'll give my name and join you." Kria said, and walked off with Sharon. They went to Ms.Martinez and enrolled their names for the dance class. Sharon went home in her car. She offered to drop Kria home but kria said that she had go with Aashi. "Maybe tomorrow." Kria said. "Okay Bye. Call me later!" Sharon said. "Definitely." Kria said. She then walked home with Aashi.

"Mommy, Aashi and Klia are home!" Aisha said, opening the door. Kria lifted her up, and went to the kitchen and made her sit on the slab. "Hi Mom! What's cooking?" Kria asked, hugging her. "Nothing for now. So how was school today?" her Mom asked. "It was awesome. I made a new friend called Sharon. She's super sweet." Kria said. "That's wonderful. Now go change!" her mom said. "Okay, Mom! Anyway I have to leave for my new part time job from today!" Kria said. "Aisha, coming with me up to my room?" Kria asked. "No.. Klia! I will come lateh! I want to help Mommy!" Aisha said. Kria and her Mom laughed. "Okay then!" Kria said, and ran upto her room. After sometime, she went downstairs for getting something to eat. She took some icecream. Then she noticed that her mom was doing something with cake batter. "Mom, what's the occasion?" Kria asked. "Someone's coming over." Her mom replied. "What? Who?" Kria asked. "Someone you know and someone we all love." Her mom said. "Mom!! Just tell me who it is!" Kria said. "You can see for yourself after you return from work. Now hurry otherwise you'll be late!" her mom said. Kria looked at the time, then shook her head, went up to her room and then left for work. She had got a part time job in Sea Side Cafe. She entered the cafe and met the manager. She went to the counter. "You must be Kria, am I right?" the girl asked. Kria was surprised. "Yeah, how do you know?" Kria asked. "Well, Anne told us about you." The girl answered. (Anne is the cafe manager) "Oh okay! So what is your name?" Kria asked the girl. "Rebecca.Rebecca Blaine." Rebecca said. "Hi Rebecca. Nice to meet you.So how old are you?" Kria asked. "I'm a junior in Miami Valley High. You?" Becky asked. "Hey. I'm a junior too. In Sea View High." Kria said. " So what should I be doing today?" Kria asked. "Well, you can be the cashier. Coz I'm the one taking orders today along with Chase. That's Chase." Becky said, pointing to a guy. Chase waved to Kria. Kria waved back, smiling. "Okies!" Kria said. The door to the caf opened and a guy entered. Kria thought he was a customer but then she noticed his uniform. "Hey, who's that?" Kria asked Becky. The guy looked really charming, had a friendly appearance. He hi5d with Chase and then proceeded towards Becky and Kria. "That's Rey!" Becky said and turned to Rey. "You're very late! You said you'd be here by 5." Becky said. "Sorry Becky! But I was really exhausted from all that playing." Rey said, smiling. "Oh okay! Rey, this is Kria. Kria, this is Rey." Becky said, introducing them. "Indian?" Rey asked Kria, smiling. Kria smiled back and nodded. "Yea, but I've been living here from when I was born." Kria said. "Hey, me too!" Rey said. "Glad to meet you." Rey said. "You too, Rey!" Kria said, shaking Rey's hand and her smile growing wider.

*Kria's phone rang*

"Hello!" Kria said. "Ello! Klia! It's me, Aisha! Mom wants to know when you're coming home!" Aisha shouted in her baby voice. "Well, sweety. Tell her I'll be there in a while. Who's come?" Kria asked, hoping Aisha would tell her. "Mommy told me not to tell you!" Aisha said, and hung up the phone. Kria sighed. "Boyfriend??" Rey asked. "No way! I don't have one! That was my little sister!" Kria said, bursting into laughter at Rey's humour. "Well, it's strange. A beautiful girl like you and no boyfriend?" Rey asked. "Well, I'm waiting for THE ONE!" Kria said, chuckling. "Seems like you read a lot of novels." Rey said, shaking his head and grinning. "Yea, I do. I really got to go now! So I'll see you tomorrow!" Kria said to Rey, Becky and Chase. "Bye!" they said. Kria caught the bus and reached home. She was eager to find out who the guest would be. She knocked on the door. Aisha opened it. She went inside and saw.. "OMG!! Dhruv!!!" Kria shouted. Dhruv was the only boy in the Ghai family and Kria was closest to him. He was in college and she'd never expected him to come home that week. "Kria! I missed you sis!" Dhruv said. "I missed you too! Today is the best day ever!" Kria said, hugging him. "How long are you here for?" Kria asked. "A week." Dhruv said. "Wow that's awesome." Kria said. They talked and talked, then had dinner. After dinner, they went back to their rooms. Once Kria entered her room, she took out her diary and wrote down that day's happenings.

Kria's Diary:

Today was an awesome day at school. I made a new best friend- Sharon at school. I made good friends at work too- Rey,Becky and Chase. I have a feeling that I'm going to be really good friends with Sharon and Rey. Dhruv's come home for a week. I'm like floating on Cloud 9 right now. Write to you later.

Recap: U know!

So days passed and Kria became close with Sharon,Swayam and Rey. The excitement of homecoming dance and homecoming game was still in the air. The wildcats had won again and they were qualified for the finals!!

A week after the homecoming week:

During dance:

"Everybody gather around!" Ms.Martinez said. Everyone did as she said. Sharon and Kria looked at each other, curious to know about the news. Aashi had joined the dance class as well, obviously because Rey was there. "So, guys! I want to talk to you about the War of Dance competition that takes place every year. So this year, there's going to be Solos, Group and Pair performances. And I want each one of you to participate in the Group and Solo performances. You can leave now, before that give me your names if you want to participate in the Pair Performance. But mind it, I will be the one choosing the pairs, allright! So, hurry up." Ms Martinez said. Sharon,Swayam,Rey,Kria, Aashi and Justin waited because as soon as Ms.Martinez said "Pair" everyone crowded around her. During this time, Kria went next to Rey. "Hey, can I talk to you alone for a minute?" Kria asked. "Ofcourse!" Rey said, and went to a corner. "Hey, listen Rey! I know you might think something. But I see you looking at Aashi everyday at lunch. I know you like her, and she likes you too. So, please! Please, will you ask her out? She really likes you." Kria said. "But.. Kria...I was looking at!" Rey began, but Kria stopped him. " Please! Please Rey! For me? If you think of me as your best friend, please do it." Kria said. "I think of you more than a best friend. And so I will do anything you say." Rey thought, in his mind, very upset at Kria's assumption. "Well..okay!" Rey said. " But.. promi.." Rey began again, when Sharon called them. "Kria! Rey! Come on! We have to give our names!" Sharon said. So the whole group went to give their names. They kept talking till Ms. Martinez could decide who should be the dance partner of who? After sometime, Ms.Martinez called out their names. "So I've decided. Listen carefully.

Ms.Martinez said, and saying this she dismissed the class. Kria and Rey smiled at each other. Sharon looked at Swayam and when he smiled, she blushed. Aashi was not happy because she wanted to be with Rey. Justin was a good dancer, but he was not Rey. "So where are we discussing?" Sharon asked. "Guys, how about my house?" Rey asked. "Awesome ,Rey!" Aashi said.

Rey gave her a crooked smile, and then they left. Kria had taken a day off from work because they had to discuss the song choice at rey's place. So obviously Rey had taken a day off too. At 6, Sharon picked Kria and Aashi up and they reached Rey's house. "Wow..!" was all Kria could say. It was not a palace, but definitely, it was worth living here. Sharon rang the doorbell. A little girl opened the door, and Kria looked at her. "Ya..Yashika??" Kria asked, really surprised. "Yea, Kria! How do you know her? She's Rey's sister!" Sharon said. Kria and Aashi looked at each other, puzzled. Yashika was Rey's sister. "How come Rey never told me that he had a sister?" Kria wondered. "Well, Sharon! Yeah! She and Aisha are best friends. But I never knew she was Rey's sister. This is a huge surprise!" Kria said. Sharon laughed and they went up to Rey's room .The guys were already there. "Hey guys! Missed us?" Sharon asked. "Yaya!" Rey said. "Rey, how come you never told me you have a little sister? And a little sister who happens to my little sister's best friend! " Kria asked. "Well, I thought you knew." Rey said. "Okay guys! Chill!" Swayam said, coming to the rescue. They sat in a circle. "Okay guys! Before we start I wanna confess something to someone." Rey said, getting up. Sharon smiled. Kria beamed. Rey went next to Aashi and bent down and asked. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Aashi didn't wait and replied immediately. "Ofcourse I will!" she said. The smile on Sharon's face turned to a horrified expression. "Rey!!! But you said.. that you love..!" Sharon began, but Swayam cut her out. "Not here, Sharon! Later!" Swayam whispered in her ear. Sharon looked at Swayam with a blank expression and then looked at Kria. "She..she..she..is smiling??" Sharon asked Swayam. Swayam looked at Kria and nodded. Sharon was still upset and angry with Rey but she didn't want to create a scene. "So let's get out of the romantic mood and discuss the songs please!" Sharon said, sarcastically. "Yea! Please!" Rey said. Then they started discussing their songs. "hey.. we'll dance for Can I have this dance from HSM 3!" Sharon said, looking at swayam. "That's a nice song!" Swayam said, smiling at Sharon. "Okay, so our song is decided, Kria. What's yours?" Sharon asked. "Well...Rey.. How about Thousand years by Christina perri?" Kria asked Rey. "Hey, I was thinking about the same song. It's an amazing song." Rey said. "Okay, then we'll dance for Love the Way you lie." Justin said, after he and Aashi had decided. Aashi clung on to Rey like anything. "Okay, I'll drive you home Aashi. Kria, coming?" Rey asked. First she was going to say yes, but Aashi gave her the "please" look, so "It's okay Rey. Sharon'll drive me." She said, instead. They all went home. On the way home, Sharon asked Kria, "Did you ask Rey to ask Aashi out?" "How'd you know? I'm so happy that I hooked them up." Kria said, grinning. "Oookay!" Sharon said, a little annoyed at Kria's assumption that Rey liked Aashi. All of them went home , and they slept.

Next day, at school, news spread like wildfire that Aashi and Rey were together. Rey hated it, but he was doing it for Kria. The first thing they did was tell about their song for the competition. "Okay, You, Rey, Sharon, Swayam, Aashi, Justin. The seven of you come tomorrow for practice. Because I can't teach everyone at the same time." Ms. Martinez told Kria. "Yes, Ms.Martinez. I'll inform the others." Kria told the others about the practice and they were so excited. At night, Sharon came to Kria's house for a sleepover. Aashi said that she was going to Kaycee's house.

"Kria! Get us something to eat! I'm starving!" Sharon said. "I'll order pizza if you want!" Kria said. "Please.. do that!" Sharon said, smiling. Kria called to order pizza while Sharon logged on to her FB from Kria's laptop. "WTH??" Sharon shouted, looking at a pic. Kria just hung up the phone and she went to see what Sharon was so shocked about. "Kria, did Aashi tell you that she and rey are going on a date today?" Sharon asked. "No.. she told me that she's going to Kaycee's." Kria answered. Sharon shook her head. "Call Rey! Call Rey now!" Sharon told Kria. "But.. why?" Kria asked. "Because I need an explanation." Sharon said. "it's okay, Sharon. Chill! Let him enjoy." Kria said, but Sharon didn't listen to her. She called Rey and put the phone on speaker mode. "Hello!" Rey said. "Rey! What are you doing at Burger City now?" Sharon asked. "Well, I'm with Aashi. She wanted to eat burger." Rey said. "Rey, you're so dead when I meet you tomorrow. You traitor!" Sharon shouted. Kria was puzzled. "What! Why?" Rey shouted back. "Well, first you told me that you love'" Sharon was saying, when Kria told her to calm down. Hearing Kria's voice, Rey shouted even more, "Is the phone on speaker?" he asked. "Yea, why do you care so much whether anyone hears our convo or not?" Sharon shouted back. "Sharon! Kria just heard everything!" Rey said, forgetting that the phone was on speaker. Kria froze. Sharon looked at Kria but Kria just ran out of the room. "Well, I didn't mean to disturb anyone' s privacy." She said, before leaving. "Kria! Wait!" Sharon said. But Kria slammed the door behind her and went to Aisha's room. She could still hear everything which Sharon and Rey were talking because Aisha's and Kria's room were opposite to each other. "Now you hurt her! Why did you have to shout like that?" Sharon asked Rey. "What? She got hurt? What did I say?" Rey asked. "Well, go to a doctor. Looks like you have Amnesia." Sharon said, and hung up.

Over here, Kria was wiping her tears away. She thought that Rey was her best friend. That Rey would tell her everything. But apparently didn't think of her as a best friend. Why did he say that when Sharon said that the phone was on speaker. Sharon came and sat next to her. "Hey.. Kria! It's okay! Rey didn't mean it. He was just acting crazy allright. Trust me." Sharon said. Kria just nodded. They heard the doorbell ring. "I think Pizza's here! Come on Kria!" Sharon said. "You go and get it!" Kria said, still upset. "Don't be like this! Come on!!!!" Sharon said, pulling Kria down with her.
