Shyam leaves Khushi in a huff and says, 'Arnav aapko kabhi nahi apnayega. Hum aisa hona nahi dege Khushiji. Itna yaad rakhiyega.' Arnav thinks, 'Tum galat ho Shyam Manohar Jha. Khushi se toh maafi mangouga lekin usse pehle mujhe kuch aur karna hai.' He leaves the room through the back door and Khushi comes after a while to find him gone. She is worried not to see him and calls him immediately. He picks up and she starts bombarding him with questions, 'Kaha hai aap? Aapne kisi ko bataya ke aap ja rahe hai? Hum aadhe ghante ke liye kamre se nikle aur aap chale gaye. Wapas aaiye.' Arnav replies, 'Mujhe kuch kaam hai. Main woh poora karke aaouga.' Khushi insists, 'Par aap ki tabiyat…?' Arnav cuts in saying, 'Main theek houn. Di se keh dena main tumhe bina bataye chala gaya.' He cuts the call but Khushi is confused and says, 'Yeh humhe Anjaliji ko aisa kehne ke liye kyun keh rahe hai?' She is in thought and cleans up the room as Arnav parks outside her parent's house looking determined.

Arnav knocks at their door and Buaji opens it. She is shocked to see Arnav standing in front of her. He had not come to their house since he got married to Khushi. She snaps out of her shock and says, 'Hai re Nandkishore babua, tum eeha? Ka hua? Ghar par toh sab theek hai na?' Arnav nods and Buaji invites him inside. They offer him something but he refuses to have anything. Garima comes out with Shashi and they all look confused to see Arnav at their house without Khushi. They start to ask about everyone in the family except Khushi. Arnav flexes his jaw and says, 'Aap kisi ko bhool toh nahi rahe hai?' They look uncomfortable and Buaji says, 'Khusi ne jo kiya galat kiya, hum bas ee hi jaanat hai.' Arnav retorts, 'Galat toh maine bhi kiya hai toh mujhe kyun ghar mein aane diya aapne? Main janta houn ke aap yeh izzat mujhe Khushi ke pati ki haisiyat se nahi balki Payal ke Jeth ki haisiyat se de rahe hai.' Garima says, 'Arnav bitwa, tum kahe naraaz hovat ho?'

Arnav angrily replies, 'Kyun naraaz ho raha houn? Ek minute nahi lagi aapko, Khushi ko chod ke aane mein. Uss ne shaadi ke baad jawab nahi diya iska matlab yeh hai ki uski galati hai? Aapne yeh nahi socha ke uski majboori ho sakti thi?' They were taken aback with his flaring temper and could not say anything. He continued, 'Jis ladki ne rishtein se lekar havan tak har cheez ka dhyaan rakha, jisne mere saath Akash aur Payal ko milwaya woh ladki ain waqt par uss shaadi ko barbaad kyun karegi? Aapne pichle ek mahine mein uske baare mein socha nahi aur jab kabhi phone par aa bhi jaati toh aap phone rakh dete? Kya agar Payal se yeh galati hoti toh aap usse aisa hi bartaav karte?' They look down ashamed at his words. He says, 'Nahi, kabhi nahi. Lekin theek hai, Khushi ke liye main houn aur hamesha rahouga. Woh ab Khushi Arnav Raizada hai. Aur main ek aur baat saaf kar doun, Khushi ne yeh shaadi meri wajah se aur meri shart ki wajah se ki thi. Maine usse kaha tha ke agar woh yeh shaadi nahi karegi toh main Payal aur Akash ki shaadi tod douga.' Garima , Shashi and Buaji stare from one to the other unable to believe their ears. Arnav says, 'Aap maafi mangna chahte hoge Khushi se, lekin aaj meri baari hai.' He leaves without another words and Garima collapses on the sofa crying.

Khushi goes up the temple stairs unable to understand why Arnav called her here. All she got was a letter from the driver saying that he is waiting at the temple for her and she should come as soon as possible. Khushi finds Arnav standing in front of her. With all the resentment and hatred having evaporated from his heart, Arnav was seeing Khushi in a whole new pure light. She was not the girl he had met at the fashion show nor the girl who was working with AR Group a few months back nor the girl training Lavanya. She was simply his wife, Khushi Arnav Raizada. She was wearing a lovely orange saree with her hair pulled back in to a chignon. He had not realized that she had stopped letting her hair down since it was something she had started doing for him. He gave himself a mental kick for not seeing the umpteen subtle signs that were there all along. Her delicate hands were twisted around each other as she saw him questioningly. Arnav simply opened the conversation with, 'Tum devi maiyya se baat nahi karogi?'

Khushi ogled at Arnav with her mouth open. She broke out of her reverie and turned with folded hands towards devi maiyya who she had maintained a long silence with. She prayed in her heart, 'Hum aapse lambi baat karege devi maiiya. Humhe pata hai humne samajhne mein galati ki lekin aapne bhi toh.. Nahi nahi.. Aaj koi shikayat nahi. Bas Arnavji ko theek kar deejiye.' She opened her eyes and looked around to see that Arnav was on his knees facing her with a downcast face. She immediately exclaimed, 'Arnavji, kya hua aapko?' She came down on her knees as well and looked at him trying to understand what was wrong. Arnav had tears in his eyes and Khushi looked at him concerned about what had happened now. Arnav slowly folded his hands and bent his head in front of Khushi. She immediately said, 'Yeh aap kya…' Arnav placed his fingers on her lips and says, 'Please Khushi, please stop it! Itni acchi mat bano ke main apne aapka saamna na kar sakoun. Mujhe maaf kar do Khushi, please. Har woh dard ke liye jo maine tumhe diya, har uss chot ke liye jo tumhe meri wajah se lagi, har uss beizzati ke liye jo tumhari hui. Maine ek baar bhi nahi socha ke jo ladki apni behen ke liye kisi se shaadi kar sakti hai woh kisi ki behen ka ghar kyun todegi?' Khushi looked at him with silent tears of relief going down her face. It was going to be a long night.
