This is really, really good! I hope you will continue this, even just one more chapter! I don't doubt that Shyam would do something like this--say those words, and take those steps to get "his" Khushi. And I don't doubt for a minute that Khushi would jump in front of that bullet for Arnav.

Hayley That was so heart rending!!!! it broke my heart into shards of glass-pieces =')

The title is from one of my most favourite books EVER and the last line somehow has been etched in my mind from the moment I read it!!I always used to think that I would write an OS on it but you did justice to it beautifully [ps- someone else wrote an OS with the exact same name yesterday!!:O]

Ah! And i do love open endings- I myself am a dedicated "think-what-you-can" writer😆

ps-have you read "A thousand splendid suns" by the same writer? his words weave magic!
