MN house-evening

both at the door , nupur yawning and leaning on Mayank.he tried to open the lock but it wasnt locked

"tumne yeh lock nahin kiya tha?"

"maine? Tum last aaye the. Mujhe bhook lag rahi hain mayank" yawn,"aur neend aarahin hain"

he pushed and the door opened

"DI..." "mayank" "nupur" "congrats"

they were enveloped in multiple pairs of arms forcing both of their faces to break into smiles.

"jiju main kitne khush hoon. Sab teek haina?"

mayank finally made himself heard," UDAY tum phir se mujhe hug karoge tho khair nahin hogi. waise tumhaare paas mere ghar ki chaabi kyun hain?" he asked samrat. sam grinned

uday moved away from him towards nupur ," yeh kya apne bachhe ke saath bhi aise hi sadu rahega? nupur tumhaare tho bachoon ko GOD hi bachaaye!"

"Udya bhaiyya! di doctor ne kya kahaan?"

the girls started talking all at once about the visit to doctor , the guys went to the kitchen

samrat to mayank," tum phone kyun utaa nahin rahe the?yaar tum tho daddy banne waale ho! Mujhe itni khushi kabhi nahin hui!" and hugged mayank again. Mayank smiled as he hugged samrat back.

"mayank tum teek ho? Kuch baat hain kya?" sam to mayank who looked little serious while arranging the dinner plates.

mayank looked at nupur talking away to gunjan / dia and then at samrats happy face and shook his head," tum dono ka kya update hain? Tumhaare parents ..."

samrats face changed and he shook his head," tum itne khushi ke mauke par kya yeh sab..chodo us baat ko."

" mayank khaana lag gaya kya. Mujhe bhook lagi hain!" nupur came with the others.

MN room

nupur standing near the window staring outside with a small smile playing at the corner of her lips. Mayank came in with a glass of milk in his hand. Seeing her standing near the window, smile on her face, mobile in one of her hands and the other palm on her abdomen, he placed the glass on the table reached her and hugged her from behind, his arms over hers surrounding her waist and his chin resting on her shoulder.

They stood for awhile quiet , listening to the sounds of the night slowly dying down.

"kya soch rahin ho?" he asked, his voice soft against her skin

nupur shook her head without turning.

"tumhe tho neend aarahin thi na? Soyi kyun nahin?"

"maa se baath karrahin thi" nupurs voice was so soft that mayank had strain to hear her.

his head went up suddenly,"kya? Tumne bata diya unko" she nodded, her head bent, still not looking at him. His face showed a range of emotions from apprehension to embarrasment about his mothers reaction.

"kya kahaan maa ne?"

"bohot khush hue. Tumse baat karna chahrahe the maine unse kahaan ki tum baad mein unko call karoge"

his head went back to resting on her shoulder, his hands still rhythmically absentmindedly stroking hers.

"nupur, isiliye main tumse itna pyaar kartha hoon. Main kab se yehi soch rahaan ki maa ko kaise bataaonnga" and kissing her on the neck," aur dekho tumne mera kaam asaan kar diya"

she didnt reply and mayank continued to hold her in silence.

"nupur"

"umm"

"tum thak nahin gayi ? ab se tum thoda dhyaan rakho. Main gunjan aur dia se bhi kehnewaala hoon. Itni dher dher tak baat karthe rahoge tho thak jaaoge.Chalo , milk aur tablets dono lelo aur sojao" and disengaging himself from her , turned her around to face him his hands on her shoulders. Nupur tried to avoid facing him but he caught her eyes which were wet.

"tum rorahin thi? Kya hua ?" and his finger under chin forced her to look up and meet his eyes.

she took one look at him , met his eyes for an instant, saw the concern flooding his eyes and tears filled her eyes up. Placing her head on his chest , her hands around him she let her tears flow.

Mayank hugged her tight not knowing what had happened. She had seemed perfectly normal just an hour ago. Did the girls say anything? Did his mother...nahin maa treated her like a daughter ...maybe it was just the pregnancy mood swings that he kept reading about. She was holding him as if for support but not sobbing really. he held her and let her ease off whatever she was feeling bad about. When she had stopped , he cupped her face in his palms and wiping the last of her tears of her cheeks with his thumb , raised his eyebrows questioningly.

Nupur gazed at the concern , the love and impulsively kissed him on both cheeks, his forehead and his nosetip making him smile .

"ab bologi?! Ya aur bhi kiss karna baaki hain? Mujhe koi problem nahin hogi par phir bhi..."

"kuch serious baat nahin hain mayank. Bas aunty se baat karne ke baad maa bauji ki yaad agayi. Aaj doosre baar hain zindagi mein jab mujhe maa ki kami lagrahi hain. Aur bauji bhi nahin rahe na...tho..." and placed her head back on his chest.

She looked and continued after a second," waise aunty jaisi maa hone ke baad mujhe complain karne ka koi haq nahin bantha. Bas..." His arms went around her consolingly.

"ab main tumhaare liye unko waapas nahin leke aasaktha nupur. Par itna zaroor karsaktha hoon..."

he held her away, " tumhara saath hamesha rehsaktha hoon, tumhaara khayal rakhsaktha hoon aur tumhe saari duniya mein jitna bhi pyaar hain wo de saktha hoon bas. Chalega?"

she laughed, wiping her eyes," nahin. Kyunki aur koi aanewaala hain jo tumhaare pyaar ka aadha haqdaar hoga"

he laughed and said," wo jab aayegi tab dekhenge. Ab tho sirf tum ho aur tumhe abhi tablets lene hain, milk peena hain. Phir acchee achhe sapne dekhne hain ! Chalo" and led her to the bed.
